No Going Back (Stiff Little Fingers album)

No Going Back is the tenth studio album by punk band Stiff Little Fingers. It was released on March 15, 2014 for a limited time through PledgeMusic, a website where fans can pledge/donate money to purchase the album in various forms. The album was released to the general public on August 11, 2014 through the band's Rigid Digits label and elsewhere through Mondo Recordings/INgrooves. The album is the band's first studio release in eleven years since 2003's Guitar and Drum. It reached #1 on BBC Radio 1's UK Top 40 Rock Album Charts on September 14, 2014.

Background

On 9 March 2007, Jake Burns announced that Stiff Little Fingers would be recording a new album which would hopefully be completed by the end of 2007. They previewed tracks from the new album, "Liar's Club" and "My Dark Places" at live concerts. At the Glasgow Barrowlands gig on 17 March 2011 Burns announced that a new album was being recorded – hopefully for a 2011 release – before launching into a new song, "Full Steam Backwards", about the banking crisis in the UK. Liar's Club is named after a bar in Chicago that Burns drove past on his way home whilst listening to a press report about Tony Blair, George W. Bush and the Iraq War.

The Walking Dead: Season Two

The Walking Dead: Season Two is an episodic interactive drama graphic adventure based on Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead comic book series developed by Telltale Games. It is the sequel to The Walking Dead, with the episodes released between December 2013 and August 2014, and a retail collector's disc edition planned at the conclusion of the season. The game employs the same narrative structure as the first season, where player choice in one episode will have a permanent impact on future story elements. The player choices recorded in save files from the first season and the additional episode 400 Days carry over into the second season.Clementine, who was the player's companion during the first season, is the player-character in Season Two.

Skybound has announced that a third season, a full sequel to Season Two, is being developed.

Going Back (film)

Going Back is Bruce Campbell's second feature film, produced shortly after The Evil Dead and released in 1983. The film had been extremely rare to acquire for a number of years, due to contract disputes between the director, producer, and the bankrupt original distributor. It was finally re-released on DVD in October 2006. The DVD release features an additional audio commentary track by Campbell, director Ron Teachworth, and cinematographer John Prusak.

Plot summary

In 1964, two high school friends, Brice (Bruce Campbell) and Cleveland (Christopher Howe), leave their suburban neighborhood near Detroit, Michigan to hitch-hike their way to the countryside before going off to college. They are befriended by a lonely farmer, Jack Bodell (Perry Mallette), who offers them a place to stay. As days pass, Cleveland helps Jack around the farm and finds in him the father figure he lacks, while Brice falls in love with a local girl named Cindy (Susan Waderlow-Yamasaki). Four years later, Brice and Cleveland meet up in their senior year of college and decide to "go back" to Jack's farm, where they find much has changed in just a few years.

Back (album)

Back is the name of a studio album by country music singer Lynn Anderson, released in 1983.

This album was Anderson's first in three years. She had since been in brief retirement to start a family with her second (and now ex-husband), Harold "Spook Stream", and raise her other children. Thus, Anderson left her old record company (Columbia) in 1980. In 1983, Anderson decided to record again and release a comeback album, as the title "Back" implied. The album brought Anderson back into the country market, along with a few more hits under her belt.

Three singles were released from this album, all in 1983. The first, "You Can't Lose What You Never Had", just missed the Country Top 40 at No. 42. The next single, "What I've Learned From Loving You", peaked at No. 18 on the Billboard country charts. The third and final single, "You're Welcome to Tonight", was a duet with 1980s country star Gary Morris and the album's most successful single. The single reached the Top 10 on the Billboard country charts in early 1984, peaking at No. 9. The album reached No. 61 on the "Top Country Albums" chart in 1983.

History of American football positions

American football positions have slowly evolved over the history of American football. From its origins in early rugby football to the modern game, the names and roles of various positions have changed greatly, some positions no longer exist, and others have been created to fill new roles.

Origins in rugby

Being variants of 19th century rugby football,American and Canadian football position nomenclature has its origin there. Early rugby did no more than distinguish in tactics between the great bulk of the players who played as forwards and the relative few who played back defensively as "tends", as in goaltenders. After a while, the attacking or at least counterattacking possibilities of playing close behind the scrimmage (which later came to be called "scrummage") came to be recognized, and some players stationed themselves between the forwards and tends as "half-tends". It being seen that the players outside scrimmage (the "pack", i.e. the forwards) were not limited to a defensive role, the tends and half-tends were renamed "back" and "half back" positions.
