David Ortiz of the Boston Red Sox is having one hell of a retirement season. The slugger is leading the team in home runs (37), RBIs (124), and OBP (.401), is batting .316 and the Sox clinched a playoff berth last night. Ortiz is 40 years old with plenty of time to figure out what his post-playing career is going to look like. For now, though, he has another World Series win in sight.
His story is one of persistence. The kind of persistence one needs to find their way out of a huge corn maze. He started out bouncing in and out of the majors with the Seattle Mariners and the Minnesota Twins during the late '90s until he signed as a free agent with the Red Sox in 2002. The rest—as they say—is history. He has three rings and was instrumental in Boston's historic comeback against the Yankees in 2004 which led to the team's first World Series win in 86 years effectively ending the Curse of the Bambino.
Beating a maze built by the world's top maze creator Adrian Fisher was an accomplishment but Speedy's main opponent were his allergies. Being a city slicker from the mean streets of Lefrak City, Queens, he fought the elements and learned some lessons along the way. Check the video above as he embarks on a path to enlightenment.

Sent is a municipality in the district of Inn in the Swiss Canton of Graubünden.
History
Sent is first mentioned in 930 when King Henry the Fowler sent the Ramosch priest Hartpert to the church in vicus Sindes. It is unclear whether he meant the Church of St. Peter or St. Lorenz. Until the end of the 19th Century it had the highest population of any village in the Engadin.
Geography
Sent has an area, as of 2006, of 111.7 km2 (43.1 sq mi). Of this area, 31.3% is used for agricultural purposes, while 24.1% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 0.7% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (43.8%) is non-productive (rivers, glaciers or mountains).
The municipality is located in the Suot Tasna sub-district of the Inn district on a terrace on the left bank of the Inn river. It consists of the village of Sent and the hamlets of Crusch and Sur En. Until the 19th Century it was also known by its German name of Sins.
Demographics
Sent has a population (as of 31 December 2014) of 881.As of 2008, 10.5% of the population was made up of foreign nationals. Over the last 10 years the population has decreased at a rate of -3.8%.

David Ortiz of the Boston Red Sox is having one hell of a retirement season. The slugger is leading the team in home runs (37), RBIs (124), and OBP (.401), is batting .316 and the Sox clinched a playoff berth last night. Ortiz is 40 years old with plenty of time to figure out what his post-playing career is going to look like. For now, though, he has another World Series win in sight.
His story is one of persistence. The kind of persistence one needs to find their way out of a huge corn maze. He started out bouncing in and out of the majors with the Seattle Mariners and the Minnesota Twins during the late '90s until he signed as a free agent with the Red Sox in 2002. The rest—as they say—is history. He has three rings and was instrumental in Boston's historic comeback against the Yankees in 2004 which led to the team's first World Series win in 86 years effectively ending the Curse of the Bambino.
Beating a maze built by the world's top maze creator Adrian Fisher was an accomplishment but Speedy's main opponent were his allergies. Charming and mysterious, they have witnessed much of the island's dramatic past and the tangled architecture of coral stone and shell lime serves as a fascinating backdrop to this colorful city that is strongly influenced by an Arabian way of life.
In the north of the old town is one of the island's most beautiful buildings, the Ismali Dispensarium. It was built by a wealthy Indian businessman and was originally a hospital with an adjoining pharmacy. Today it contains a cultural centre.
The house of the infamous Tippu Tip, who was once Zanzibar's biggest slave trader, has not yet been restored. He was an extremely unpleasant man who sent his servants into the African bush to catch slaves who were later sold in Zanzibar. Livingstone House was built in 1861. The famous missionary and explorer once resided there prior to going on his final expedition. He was frequently the guest of Tippu Tip who offered Dr. Livingstone various maps that were based upon his slave routes.
A tropical paradise just off the African coast with the flair of the Orient, historic architecture and the colors of Africa. Zanzibar is most assuredly a legendary and fairy-tale island of global culture.

Singapore! aka Disneyland with the death penalty. I arrived in Singapore on the day of the Chinese New Year (or the lunar new year) and spent a wonderful 2 days exploring all that Singapore had to offer.
Here are my top 5 tips on what to expect when going to Singapore:
1) $$$$$ Singapore is expensive! With a population on 5.4 million people on the incredibly developed island country, Singapore receives approximately 15 million visitors a year. Needless to say it is dependent on other countries for it's survival and the large island itself very modern, but expect prices to be high. Try not to fall for tourists traps (they are everywhere!) Go to China town or little India to find cheaper deals. In China town you can find postcards for 50 cents verses the 2 USD in most other shops around tourists areas. It even costs money to go down to the beach…they'll try to have you spend money in anyway that they can to help boost their economy.
2) Singapore is incredibly touristy and crowded. Because of the number of visitors a year, Singapore depends greatly on its tourism to survive so expect a lot of other tourists, particularly Indian and Chinese tourists. It's the Hawaii of Asia.
3) Singapore has strict laws. VERY strict laws and it enforces them to a T. The punishment for crimes such as drug use and selling drugs is death. In addition, they care a lot about keeping Singapore clean, so things such as littering and vandalism come with punishments such as caning. Meaning you'll be beaten with a rod…just be respectful and you should be fine!
4) Singapore is a "fine" city. You will not be sent to jail for chewing gum as it is rumored but you can have a large nasty fine placed on you. This is what makes Singapore a "fine" city, both because it's fine as in it's an okay city, but also fine because of fines that can be racked up on you. Speeding, j-walking, littering…don't do it in Singapore. However, the plus side is that Singapore is very, very clean and safe. It's one of the safest cities in the world.
5) It's HOT, and humid. Singapore is near the equator and the humidity is very similar to Hawaii so make sure to dress in a way that you will be comfortable. Thankfully it's so safe you can "dress like a slut and no one will bother you" said my humorous Singapore guide.
