Despite the brief descriptions of him, Enoch is one of the main two focal points for much of the 1st millennium BC Jewish mysticism, notably in the Book of Enoch. Additionally, Enoch is important in some Christian denominations: He is commemorated as one of the Holy Forefathers in the Calendar of Saints of the Armenian Apostolic Church and the Armenian Catholic Church on July 26. He also features in the Latter Day Saint movement.
The New Testament contains three references to Enoch. The first is a brief mention in Luke's genealogy of the ancestors of Jesus (Luke 3:37).
The second mention is where the author of the Epistle to the Hebrews writes, "By faith Enoch was transferred, that he should not see death, and was not found, because God had transferred him; for before his transference he had the witness that he had pleased God well." (Hebrews 11:5).
The third mention is in the Epistle of Jude (1:14-15) where the author attributes to "Enoch, the Seventh from Adam" a passage unknown in the Old Testament. The quotation is believed by most modern scholars to be taken from 1 Enoch 1:9 which exists in Greek, in Ethiopic, as part of the Ethiopian Orthodox canon, and also in Aramaic among the Dead Sea Scrolls.[5][6] Though the same scholars recognise that 1 Enoch 1:9 itself is a midrash of the words of Moses "he came from the ten thousands of holy ones" from Deuteronomy 33:2.[7][8][9][10][11] The introductory phrase "Enoch, the Seventh from Adam" is also found in 1 Enoch (1 En. 60:8), though not in the Old Testament.[12] In the New Testament this Enoch prophesies "to"[13] ungodly men, that God shall come with His holy ones to judge and convict them (Jude 1:14-15)

The 3rd century translators who produced the Greek Septuagint rendered the phrase "God took him" with the Greek verb metatithemi (μετατίθημι)[1] meaning moving from one place to another.[2] The Sirach 44:16, from about the same period, states that "Enoch pleased God and was translated into paradise that he may give repentance to the nations." The Greek word used here for paradise, 'paradeisos' (παραδεισος), was derived from an ancient Persian word meaning "enclosed garden"), and was used in the Septuagint to describe the Garden of Eden. Later, however, the term became synonymous for heaven, as is the case here.

According to the Book of Genesis, Enoch was a son of Cain, grandson of Adam, and father of Irad. After Cain arrived in the Land of Nod, to which he was evicted by the Lord as his punishment for murdering his brother Abel, his wife became pregnant and bore Cain's first child, whom he named Enoch. The city Cain founded in the Land of Nod was named after his son. According to Jubilees 4:9, Enoch's mother was named Awan.
This Enoch is not to be confused with Noah's ancestor Enoch.

A lot of differing timelines exist regarding the age of the Earth. But in using the information provided in the Bible, the calculation becomes surprisingly simple.
According to the book of Genesis chapters 1-7 there were 1656
years from the creation of Adam until the Great Flood. Noah was 600 years old when the Flood came over the Earth (Gen
7:11). That means his son Sem, who was 100 years old at this
time, was born 1556 years after Adam. This is the complete chart that proves this fact (Gen 5-7:11):

Noah
In the Abrahamic religions, Noah (/ˈnoʊ.ə/), or Noé or Noach (Hebrew: נֹחַ, נוֹחַ, Modern Noaẖ, Tiberian Nōăḥ; Syriac: ܢܘܚ Nukh; Arabic: نُوح Nūḥ; Ancient Greek: Νῶε), was the tenth and last of the pre-flood Patriarchs. Book of Enoch
The Book of Enoch (also 1 Enoch;Ge'ez: መጽሐፈ ሄኖክ mätṣḥäfä henok) is an ancient Jewish religious work, ascribed by tradition to Enoch, the great-grandfather of Noah, although modern scholars estimate the older sections (mainly in the Book of the Watchers) to date from about 300 BC, and the latest part (Book of Parables) probably to the first century BC.
It is not part of the biblical canon as used by Jews, apart from Beta Israel. Most Christian denominations and traditions may accept the Books of Enoch as having some historical or theological interest or significance, but they generally regard the Books of Enoch as non-canonical or non-inspired. It is regarded as canonical by the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church and Eritrean Orthodox Tewahedo Church, but not by any other Christian group.
It is wholly extant only in the Ge'ez language, with Aramaic fragments from the Dead Sea Scrolls and a few Greek and Latin fragments. For this and other reasons, the traditional Ethiopian belief is that the original language of the work was Ge'ez, whereas non-Ethiopian scholars tend to assert that it was first written in either Aramaic or Hebrew; Ephraim Isaac suggests that the Book of Enoch, like the Book of Daniel, was composed partially in Aramaic and partially in Hebrew. No Hebrew version is known to have survived. It is asserted in the book itself that its author was Enoch, before the Biblical Flood.

Book of Genesis
The Book of Genesis (from the Latin Vulgate, in turn borrowed or transliterated from Greek γένεσις, meaning "origin"; Hebrew: בְּרֵאשִׁית, Bərēšīṯ, "In [the] beginning") is the first book of the Hebrew Bible (the Tanakh) and the Christian Old Testament.
The basic narrative expresses the central theme: God creates the world (along with creating the first man and woman) and appoints man as his regent, but man proves disobedient and God destroys his world through the Flood. The new post-Flood world is equally corrupt, but God does not destroy it, instead calling one man, Abraham, to be the seed of its salvation. At God's command Abraham descends from his home into the land of Canaan, given to him by God, where he dwells as a sojourner, as does his son Isaac and his grandson Jacob. Jacob's name is changed to Israel, and through the agency of his son Joseph, the children of Israel descend into Egypt, 70 people in all with their households, and God promises them a future of greatness. Genesis ends with Israel in Egypt, ready for the coming of Moses and the Exodus. The narrative is punctuated by a series of covenants with God, successively narrowing in scope from all mankind (the covenant with Noah) to a special relationship with one people alone (Abraham and his descendants through Isaac and Jacob).

The earth was created in 3949 BC (+ max 39 years) – The most accurate biblical timeline
A lot of differing timelines exist regarding the age of the Earth. But in using the information provided in the Bible, the calculation becomes surprisingly simple. According to the book of Genesis chapters 1-7 there were 1656 years from the creation of Adam until the Great Flood. Noah was 600 years old when the Flood came over the Earth (Gen 7:11). That means his son Sem, who was 100 years old at this time, was born 1556 years after Adam. The earth was created in 3949 BC (+ max 39 years) – The most accurate biblical timeline
A lot of differing timelines exist regarding the age of the Earth. But in using the information provided in the Bible, the calculation becomes surprisingly simple. According to the book of Genesis chapters 1-7 there were 1656 years from the creation of Adam until the Great Flood. Noah was 600 years old when the Flood came over the Earth (Gen 7:11). That means his son Sem, who was 100 years old at this time, was born 1556 years after Adam. ADAM TO NOAH 26.11.10

Gen 4:25 And Adam knew his wife again. And she bore a son, and called his name Seth. For she said, God has appointed me another seed instead of Abel, because Cain killed him.
The Generation of Adam right through to Noah is mentioned in Genesis 5.
Adam -- Seth -- Enos -- Cainan -- Mahalaleel -- Jared -- Enoch -- Methuselah -- Lamech - Noah
Adam -- laid upon -- mortal man -- a dwelling (home) -- (but) the famous God -- descended -- initiating (dedicating) -- many men with weapons (spears and swords) -- (to give) sore pain. (Then there will be) Rest or a settling down.
Let's take a look a Enoch.
Gen 5:22-24

Enoch prophesied!
Jud 1:14-16 And Enoch, the seventh from Adam, also prophesied to these, saying, Behold, the Lord came with myriads of His saints, to do judgment against all, and to rebuke all the ungodly of them concerning all their ungodly works which they ungodly did, and concerning all the hard things ungodly sinners spoke against Him. These are murmurers, complainers, leading lives according to their lusts. And their mouth speaks proud things, admiring faces for the sake of gain.
Behold, the Lord came with myriads of His saints, to do judgment against all...Paul confirms this prophesy in 1 Thessalonians...
1Th 3:12-13 And may the Lord make you to increase and abound in love toward one another and toward all, even as we also toward you, in order to establish your hearts blameless in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints.
Methuselah was Enoch's son, let's look at him now.
Methuselah = his death shall bring? Math = a full aged adult or number of men. selah = of a sword or weapon from Hebrew root - to send away.
Job 33:18 He keeps back his soul from the Pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.
Methuselah lived to 969 years old. The oldest biblically recorded man on earth to this day. No man on earth has ever lived to 1000 years old. Why?
Gen 2:16-17 And Jehovah God commanded the man, saying, You may freely eat of every tree in the garden, but you shall not eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. For in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die. (Hebrew has die or death twice.)
2Pe 3:8 But, beloved, let not this one thing be hidden from you, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
Adam lived to 930 years and every subsequent descent lived short of 1000 years. I believe, God is true to His word 'in the day you eat of it you shall surely die, die." He died spiritually on that 24 hour day he ate and physically within 1000 years. All people come from Adam and Eve so when Adam was cursed with death we were too.
Gal 3:13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, being made a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone having been hanged on a tree")
Like Enoch who pleased God through his faith and didn't die physically -- we too, who believe in Jesus' death for our sins and burial and resurrection on the third day, can enter into eternal LIFE. So if we die physically our bodies only sleep. Our bodies waiting for the resurrection bodies.
Noah was the tenth from Adam, let's look at Noah now.
When Noah was born his father Lamech prophesied over him.
Gen 5:29 And he called his name Noah, saying, This one shall comfort us concerning our work and the toil of our hands, because of the ground which Jehovah has cursed.
Noah means = rest as in settle down , give comfort, sigh of relief in this instance.
Gen 8:20-22 And Noah built an altar to Jehovah. And he took of every clean animal, and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar. And Jehovah smelled a sweet odor. And Jehovah said in His heart, I will never again curse the ground for man's sake, because the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth. And I will not again smite every living thing as I have done. While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
