Recap of Episode (005) – Zach and Cody Vichinsky It’s nice when Dean has guests who shared such a close relationship with his kids growing up. In fact, Dean was so in awe of Zach and Cody’s great accomplishments, I thought he was going to give them a French kiss to start the program. After Dean settled down, he talked about the Vichinsky’s meteoric rise to the top of the high end luxury real estate market in the Hamptons on Long Island, NY. Their “sweet spot” target for brokering home sales can be around $60,000,000. Disturbingly, that is just for the land, mailbox, driveway and front porch. After that is negotiated, then they begin to discuss if their clients would also like a kitchen, a few bedrooms, and a partial ocean view. If you want a full ocean view, well then you will need to pony up to $100,000,000. Rea’s gasp was felt across the pond so strongly that medics were on their way to check her mental health after that reply. All kidding aside, these two fantastic, sophisticated, and thoroughly ambitious brothers have created Bespoke Real Estate through sheer determination, patience, and balancing the needs of their clients through active listening and genuine care. They have redefined the luxury real estate market, benefiting from the democratization of their industry and leveraging technology, data and great service to create a comparative advantage over all others in their genre. Throughout the show, there was no lack of subtle innuendos about sex, especially what went on in Dean’s basement when the Vichinsky brothers were over playing with Dean’s kids in their younger years. The growl of “Oh baby, that’s penetrated deep” was not interpreted by Cody and Zach as Dean stepping on a random nail on the floor. Moreover, it was revealed that Dean might have broken International Child Labor laws (still subject to an investigation at The Hague) by having the Vichinsky brothers paint his house. At least the children of Myanmar are not alone in this dark exploitation of slave labor. Anthony, normally quick as a whip, seemed to be having afternoon malaise as he sat quietly while hearing these stories of the “good ole days.” I am now insisting Anthony brings one Red Bull with him per show. He probably forgot, just like he forgot to turn off a microphone when the conversation was starting to turn too intimate. Anthony is so cool that even chilling out gives the appearance of an afternoon siesta. Good for him! I am sure Zach and Cody were pleased to move up in the media world, going from Bloomberg News, to CNBC, to the prestigious Wall Street Journal and finally their marquee appearance on the Dean Blechman Show. I want to be the first one to congratulate Zach and Cody for this extraordinary leap of faith, giving up valuable summer sales time to be the featured hosts. Unfortunately, their new ‘target market penetration’ might now be homes in the Detroit inner city up to Staten Island, N.Y. Hey, at least the island is surrounded by a constant flow of oil sludge water which frequently creates a glistening affect which eases the pain of living on Staten Island. Drinking a six pack of Shlitz “Tall Boy” beer helps to view it in this perverse light. In all candor, I was extremely impressed with the Vichinsky brothers. They are the perfect role models for our younger generation. Rea asked a personal question to Cody, “Are you still single?” …Ok - not really, what she meant to ask was what are their passions? Family was on the top of the list, and that is all you need to know about the Vichinsky’s value system.
