Remix I did of the song "Kraken of the Sea" from the fantastic SNES game, Earthbound. :)

I originally did a shorter version of the song that was used in Brushguy's live action Earthbound series for their Kraken fight in Episode 5: Cake, and now finally here's the finished full length version of the song!
Took me awhile to finish due to a lot of real life stuff going on, but I'm very happy it's finished and I definitely like how it came out. The remix was done completely in FL9 Studio, and the sound clips at the starting and ending of the song are from the game itself (thank you Starmen.net).
LIVE ACTION VIDEO CLIPS WERE NOT MADE BY ME. They're from Episode 5: Cake, the live action Earthbound series from Brushguy. They're from the scene the song was made for originally. :)

I'm not gonna lie to you guys. Like many of you, 2016 was a pretty tough year for me. I lost my best friend who I knew for 6 years, moved back in with my parents, broke up with my very first girlfriend, dealt with a stalker who was obsessed with my OC, and many other drama-filled things. But, with all that being said, I made new friends who have helped me improve my music, who even forced me to continue working on this channel when I was thinking about giving up on it entirely. I've been given advice and a new way to look at things I normally would've never thought about and it's changed me as a person for the better I feel. My parents have been very nice and supportive of my channel. It's all thanks to you guys. I've been given a second wind thanks to the support you guys have given me with these Sun/Moon remixes, and I've learned to not give up even when things slow down, because if I want YouTube to remain my job, that's what I have to do. So thank you guys, so much, to every single one of you. You've given me free art that I never even asked for. You've been supportive when this channel's been inactive. You help boost my self-esteem more than anything else, and I can't appreciate you all enough. From the bottom of my heart, I sincerely hope you all have a Merry Christmas/Holidays. And thank you all for making my life so much better.
This remix is nearly a year old but I just never got around to uploading it. Since it's Christmas-y I decided to wait until Christmas! I can't believe it's been two years since I've beaten the Mother/Earthbound trilogy. They seriously changed my life and while I don't think about them as much as I used to I seriously can't help but smile every time I look back at the wonderful moments that happened to me on that game. Please please PLEASE play them if you haven't yet. It's a very enjoyable trilogy.

So I pretty much pulled an all nighter to finish this. Lots of experimenting with different instruments. I hope you guys like it because I had a really fun time making it. When Lucas was revealed for Smash 4 I cried like a baby. No really, I did. I should've recorded my reaction because holy cow you're not gonna see a 21 year old man react the way I did when they showed him. ANYWAYS
The 5k Special is still far from being done. I'm gonna need a lot of time to finish it because I went from 4000 to 5000 in a little less than a month. Depending on how fast future subs come (if that even happens) I might have to start skipping doing a special for every 1000 subs and change it to like every 5000 or something. Idk yet, we'll see. All I know is making a Megamix for every 1000 subs at this rate would be way too exhausting.

The Man
"The Man" is a slang phrase that may refer to the government or to some other authority in a position of power. In addition to this derogatory connotation, it may also serve as a term of respect and praise.
The phrase "the Man is keeping me down" is commonly used to describe oppression. The phrase "stick it to the Man" encourages resistance to authority, and essentially means "fight back" or "resist", either passively, openly or via sabotage.
History
As a phrase meaning "the boss" it dates from at least 1918.
In the Southern U.S. states, the phrase came to be applied to any man or any group in a position of authority, or to authority in the abstract. From about the 1950s the phrase was also an underworld code word for police, the warden of a prison or other law enforcement or penal authorities.
The use of this term was expanded to counterculture groups and their battles against authority, such as the Yippies, which, according to a May 19, 1969 article in U.S. News and World Report, had the "avowed aim ... to destroy 'The Man', their term for the present system of government". The term eventually found its way into humorous usage, such as in a December 1979 motorcycle ad from the magazine Easyriders which featured the tagline, "California residents: Add 6% sales tax for The Man."

Teleology
Teleology is a reason or explanation for something in function of its end, purpose, or goal. For example, a teleological explanation of why forks have prongs is that this design helps humans eat certain foods; skewering food to allow humans to eat is what forks are for. It is derived from two Greek words: telos (end, goal, purpose) and logos (reason, explanation).
A purpose that is imposed by a human use, such as that of a fork, is called extrinsic. Natural teleology contends that natural entities have intrinsic purposes, irrespective of human use or opinion. For instance, Aristotle claimed that an acorn's intrinsic telos is to become a fully grown oak tree.
Though ancient atomists rejected the notion of natural teleology, teleological accounts of non-personal or non-human nature were explored and often endorsed in ancient and medieval philosophies, but fell into disfavor during the modern era (1600-1900).
In the late 18th century, Immanuel Kant used the concept of telos as a regulative principle in his Critique of Judgment. Teleology was also fundamental to the speculative philosophy of Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel.

OverClocked ReMix
OverClocked ReMix, also known as OC ReMix and OCR, is a non-commercial organization dedicated to preserving and paying tribute to video game music through arranging and re-interpreting the songs with new technology and software, as well as by various traditional means. The primary focus of OC ReMix is its website which offers thousands of free fan-made video game music arrangements, information on game music and composers, resources for aspiring artists, and a community forum for video game music fans.
The webmaster of OverClocked ReMix is David W. Lloyd (a.k.a. djpretzel), who coined the word "ReMix" to refer to interpretive arrangements, as opposed to a remix which typically involves alterations to master recordings. Ambiguity regarding the term ReMix is unintentional, since the organization is dedicated to distinctive rearrangements of video game themes, not to arrangements involving changing minor details or plagiarizing the work of others.
History
Lloyd began the organization under the name of DJ Pretzel's OverClocked ReMix in December 1999 as a spin-off of OverClocked, his 3D webcomic about playing and emulating video games. The format was derived from Commodore 64 arrangement website C64Audio.com (then a host for many fan arrangements); Lloyd chose to expand the focus to all games regardless of game system. Originally coded in basic HTML and sporting an orange color scheme, the site underwent a conversion to a database-driven system in 2001, as well as visual redesigns in 2001 (blue), 2002 (purple) and its current design in 2004 (silver & orange). OC ReMix was located at the subdomain remix.overclocked.org before moving to www.ocremix.org in July 2003. Both domains were hosted for several years by ZTNet, with OCR eventually becoming self-funded and switching to dedicated hosting with LiquidWeb in late 2006. Lloyd registered OverClocked ReMix as a limited liability company in 2007.

Mother 3
Mother 3 is a 2006 role-playing video game in the Mother series, developed by Brownie Brown and HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy Advance. The game, intended to be the final entry in the series, was directed by Nobuyuki Inoue, written by series creator Shigesato Itoi, and scored by composer Shogo Sakai. The story follows Lucas, a young boy with psychic abilities, as he attempts to prevent an invading army from destroying the world. The game's themes include human physiology, renewal, moral fungibility, and dualisms such as nature and technology, and feudalism and capitalism.
The game's development spanned twelve years and four consoles, beginning in 1994 for the Super Famicom console and then transitioning to the Nintendo 64 and its 64DD add-on before being cancelled in 2000. Mother 3 restarted development in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance and was finally released in Japan on April 20, 2006.
Mother 3 was a critical and commercial success upon release. Critics generally praised the game's graphics, music, and story, but believed that the gameplay offered few innovations to the role-playing genre. The game was never released outside Japan, though an unofficial English fan translation was released by the Starmen.net internet community in October 2008. On December 17, 2015, the game was released for the Japanese Virtual Console on the Wii U.

I'm not gonna lie to you guys. Like many of you, 2016 was a pretty tough year for me. I lost my best friend who I knew for 6 years, moved back in with my parents, broke up with my very first girlfriend, dealt with a stalker who was obsessed with my OC, and many other drama-filled things. But, with all that being said, I made new friends who have helped me improve my music, who even forced me to continue working on this channel when I was thinking about giving up on it entirely. I've been given advice and a new way to look at things I normally would've never thought about and it's changed me as a person for the better I feel. My parents have been very nice and supportive of my channel. It's all thanks to you guys. I've been given a second wind thanks to the support you guys have given me with these Sun/Moon remixes, and I've learned to not give up even when things slow down, because if I want YouTube to remain my job, that's what I have to do. Lots of experimenting with different instruments. I hope you guys like it because I had a really fun time making it. When Lucas was revealed for Smash 4 I cried like a baby. No really, I did. I should've recorded my reaction because holy cow you're not gonna see a 21 year old man react the way I did when they showed him. ANYWAYS The 5k Special is still far from being done. I'm gonna need a lot of time to finish it because I went from 4000 to 5000 in a little less than a month. Depending on how fast future subs come (if that even happens) I might have to start skipping doing a special for every 1000 subs and change it to like every 5000 or something. Idk yet, we'll see. All I know is making a Megamix for every 1000 subs at this rate would be way too exhausting. Remix I did of the song "Kraken of the Sea" from the fantastic SNES game, Earthbound. :) MP3 DOWNLOAD IN DESCRIPTION. I originally did a shorter version of the song that was used in Brushguy's live action Earthbound series for their Kraken fight in Episode 5: Cake, and now finally here's the finished full length version of the song! Took me awhile to finish due to a lot of real life stuff going on, but I'm very happy it's finished and I definitely like how it came out. I originally did a shorter version of the song that was used in Brushguy's live action Earthbound series for their Kraken fight in Episode 5: Cake, and now finally here's the finished full length version of the song!
Took me awhile to finish due to a lot of real life stuff going on, but I'm very happy it's finished and I definitely like how it came out. The remix was done completely in FL9 Studio, and the sound clips at the starting and ending of the song are from the game itself (thank you Starmen.net).

I'm not gonna lie to you guys. Like many of you, 2016 was a pretty tough year for me. I lost my best friend who I knew for 6 years, moved back in with my parents, broke up with my very first girlfriend, dealt with a stalker who was obsessed with my OC, and many other drama-filled things. But, with all that being said, I made new friends who have helped me improve my music, who even forced me to continue working on this channel when I was thinking about giving up on it entirely. I've been given advice and a new way to look at things I normally would've never thought about and it's changed me as a person for the better I feel. My parents have been very nice and supportive of my channel. It's all thanks to you guys. I've been given a second wind thanks to the support you guys have given me with these Sun/Moon remixes, and I've learned to not give up even when things slow down, because if I want YouTube to remain my job, that's what I have to do. So thank you guys, so much, to every single one of you. You've given me free art that I never even asked for. You've been supportive when this channel's been inactive. You help boost my self-esteem more than anything else, and I can't appreciate you all enough. From the bottom of my heart, I sincerely hope you all have a Merry Christmas/Holidays. And thank you all for making my life so much better.
This remix is nearly a year old but I just never got around to uploading it. Since it's Christmas-y I decided to wait until Christmas! I can't believe it's been two years since I've beaten the Mother/Earthbound trilogy. They seriously changed my life and while I don't think about them as much as I used to I seriously can't help but smile every time I look back at the wonderful moments that happened to me on that game. So I pretty much pulled an all nighter to finish this. Lots of experimenting with different instruments. I hope you guys like it because I had a really fun time making it. When Lucas was revealed for Smash 4 I cried like a baby. No really, I did. I should've recorded my reaction because holy cow you're not gonna see a 21 year old man react the way I did when they showed him. ANYWAYS
The 5k Special is still far from being done. I'm gonna need a lot of time to finish it because I went from 4000 to 5000 in a little less than a month. Depending on how fast future subs come (if that even happens) I might have to start skipping doing a special for every 1000 subs and change it to like every 5000 or something. Idk yet, we'll see. All I know is making a Megamix for every 1000 subs at this rate would be way too exhausting.

So I pretty much pulled an all nighter to finish this. Lots of experimenting with different instruments. I hope you guys like it because I had a really fun time making it. When Lucas was revealed for Smash 4 I cried like a baby. No really, I did. I should've recorded my reaction because holy cow you're not gonna see a 21 year old man react the way I did when they showed him. ANYWAYS
The 5k Special is still far from being done. I'm gonna need a lot of time to finish it because I went from 4000 to 5000 in a little less than a month. Depending on how fast future subs come (if that even happens) I might have to start skipping doing a special for every 1000 subs and change it to like every 5000 or something. Idk yet, we'll see. All I know is making a Megamix for every 1000 subs at this rate would be way too exhausting.
Also, if you didn't vote for Isaac from Golden Sun in the newly announced Smash Bros ballot, what are you doing with your life?

I originally did a shorter version of the song that was used in Brushguy's live action Earthbound series for their Kraken fight in Episode 5: Cake, and now finally here's the finished full length version of the song! Took me awhile to finish due to a lot of real life stuff going on, but I'm very happy it's finished and I definitely like how it came out. I'm not gonna lie to you guys. Like many of you, 2016 was a pretty tough year for me. I lost my best friend who I knew for 6 years, moved back in with my parents, broke up with my very first girlfriend, dealt with a stalker who was obsessed with my OC, and many other drama-filled things. But, with all that being said, I made new friends who have helped me improve my music, who even forced me to continue working on this channel when I was thinking about giving up on it entirely. I've been given advice and a new way to look at things I normally would've never thought about and it's changed me as a person for the better I feel. My parents have been very nice and supportive of my channel. It's all thanks to you guys. I've been given a second wind thanks to the support you guys have given me with these Sun/Moon remixes, and I've learned to not give up even when things slow down, because if I want YouTube to remain my job, that's what I have to do. So thank you guys, so much, to every single one of you. You've given me free art that I never even asked for. You've been supportive when this channel's been inactive. You help boost my self-esteem more than anything else, and I can't appreciate you all enough. From the bottom of my heart, I sincerely hope you all have a Merry Christmas/Holidays. This remix is nearly a year old but I just never got around to uploading it. Since it's Christmas-y I decided to wait until Christmas! I can't believe it's been two years since I've beaten the Mother/Earthbound trilogy. So I pretty much pulled an all nighter to finish this. Lots of experimenting with different instruments. I hope you guys like it because I had a really fun time making it. When Lucas was revealed for Smash 4 I cried like a baby. No really, I did. I should've recorded my reaction because holy cow you're not gonna see a 21 year old man react the way I did when they showed him. ANYWAYS
The 5k Special is still far from being done. I'm gonna need a lot of time to finish it because I went from 4000 to 5000 in a little less than a month. Depending on how fast future subs come (if that even happens) I might have to start skipping doing a special for every 1000 subs and change it to like every 5000 or something. Idk yet, we'll see. All I know is making a Megamix for every 1000 subs at this rate would be way too exhausting.
Also, if you didn't vote for Isaac from Golden Sun in the newly announced Smash Bros ballot, what are you doing with your life?
