Our latest TV ad highlights our friendly, genuine and caring cabin crew, for which Monarch is known. Our cabin crew are renowned for going ‘above and beyond’ and providing excellent service to customers. To ensure this was conveyed in a genuine way, Monarch chose to use its own operating cabin crew to appear in the ad. Three Manchester based crew (Vasco Mendonca, Martin Crowder-James and Geri Dargan) and Priya Mehta from Gatwick were chosen from all the keen volunteers. We also used our crew for a video we filmed at Gatwick, rewarding random of acts of kindness. During my recent trip to Europe, i made sure to stop by and do some filming at one of the most renowned spotting Airports in the world, Manchester International Airport After making the trek to the now famous dirt mound spotting area, i arrived to find runway 23L closed and the firetrucks moving out to the runway! After talking with a few other people there, it turns out that a Monarch A320 (Cant remember where it was operating from and too) had declared an Emergency and was diverting to Manchester. While we where not entirely sure why, there where multiple references to the aircrafts landing gear, so the assumption was there where problems with the landing gear. The emergency services where certainly in full swing! 5 Firetrucks and 2 ambulances got ready on the runway (A Qatar A330 had...
This video is property of Train_PlaneHub, "RachaelMatt" 1080p HD! Its been a couple of years, so I thought I was long overdue a trip back to the notorious island of Madeira and Funchal Airport! I had the pleasure of flying with Monarch this time onboard one of their A321's and I have to say I quite impressed. Generous amounts of legroom in all seats. Knees not touching the seat in front is always a good thing and as always with Monarch very friendly crew and a nice clean interior. Flight was fairly busy but by no means full, there was a few empty seats dotted around, lots of people heading away for a Spring break somewhere a little warmer than the UK. And just a little warmer it was, only 16 degrees when we arrived reaching 19 during the afternoon. Actually quite similar temperatures t...

The budget carrier was handed the extension after shareholders agreed to provide additional funding. It now has until 12 October to satisfy the CAA that it has the finances to secure a full renewal of its ATOL licence. The extension comes after Monarch was forced to deny "negative speculation" it was in financial trouble. In a statement, Monarch said it received "significant" investment from its shareholders and is "close to announcing the largest investment in its 48-year history". Monarch chief executive Andrew Swaffield said he was "excited about the additional capital coming into the group which will help us fund our future growth." He added he was "delighted" to agree the deal to extend the firm's ATOL licence. ATOL protection ensures customers don't lose money or become strand...
Monarch holidays protection extended Budget airline Monarch has received a temporary extension to its licence to sell package holidays. The company also said it had secured additional funds from shareholders and was close to announcing its biggest ever investment. The news came just ahead of a midnight deadline for the renewal of its Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) licence . Last weekend Monarch was forced to deny "negative speculation" about its financial health. It has struggled under intense competition and a fall in demand for holidays in Turkey and Egypt. On Saturday Monarch is due to operate 133 outbound and inbound flights, and passengers had been expressing their concerns about what was going to happen on social media. There are more than 100,000 Monarch holiday-makers overseas at ...

Monarch Airlines in talks about cash injection amid financial health rumours. Monarch Airlines is in discussions about a multimillion-pound injection of cash as it attempts to quash rumours about its financial health. Britain’s oldest surviving airline brand had to issue a statement about its financial position after concerns were raised on social media over the weekend about its ability to keep flights in the air. The Luton-based company, which began operations in 1968, was on the brink of collapse two years ago when it was bought by private equity group Greybull. In its statement it said it expected to make profits for this financial year and added: “Our flights and holidays are operating as normal, carrying Monarch customers as scheduled.” Monarch, among many other airlines, must ren...
*Watch in 1080P HD* On board another Monarch Flight, this time to Madrid. ZB994 was operated by one of Monarch's Airbus a320's which sadly will be replaced by the 737 MAX aircraft in the next few years. This type G-ZBAU was an ex Vueling which had been delivered in April this year and had very nice Vueling seats. After being bussed out to stand 73 we boarded and taxied out to Runway 33. After waiting behind a Ryanair 737 we departed north bound, shortly turning left after departure and routing over Bristol and across the Channel. Very enjoyable flight with Monarch, fantastic seats, legroom was good and a very friendly crew! Thanks for Watching! Please Comment, Rate and Subscribe! On-board ZB7252 from London Gatwick to Venice Marco Polo, Italy on Saturday 9th April 2016. PLEASE READ: The first sector from this flying trip around Italy, first starting in Venice before flying down to Catania on the Volotea 717. The night before we found out the Italians were having an air traffic control strike the morning of our flight! Obviously we was concerned but everything went smoothly. Several BA & Easyjet flights were cancelled so felt fortunate to be able to travel! We boarded 20 minutes early and pushed back on schedule (Captain wanted to make sure we didn't miss our ATC slot due to restrictions over Italy). After a damp and cold start up, we departed London Gatwick at 7am sharp. Once airborne we quickly left the United Kingdom, cruising south past Paris & Geneva before...
(G-MONJ) Boeing 757-2T7, Amazing engine sound! Now retired! A flight video including, taxi, takeoff, approach and landing on the now retired, former 'Saturday Night Takeaway plane'' G-MONJ aircraft. A fantastic trip on one of Monarch's Boeing 757's that are due to be retired this November. I can happily say it was one of my favorite flights, especially to be able to fly on such an amazing aircraft. With the aircraft being only half-full, it accelerated very quickly with a fast takeoff. Amazing engine sound by the RB211's, definitely the loudest I have encountered! Can't complain with the service with Monarch, we arrived 30 mins ahead of schedule for only a one and a half hour flight. With the aircraft currently being 26 years old, you can definitely tell its age from the interior but does...
(G-OZBH) 11/04/15 Airbus A321, roar on takeoff and a firm touchdown in Manchester. A flight video including the taxi, takeoff and landing of ZB535 from Palma De Mallorca to Manchester Airport. A pleasant flight with Monarch, this is now the second time I have flown with them, with the 757 being the first. Nothing really eventful, a calm 2hour 30mins flight with minor turbulence. It was a great departure with amazing IAE engine sounds and brilliant crew throughout the flight. This flight was originally booked as an A320, it was only until 2 days before that I realized Monarch had changed it. A somewhat result! ---------------------------------------------- MON/ZB535 Palma De Mallorca / Son Sant Joan (LEPA/PMI) to Manchester Airport (MAN/EGCC) Airbus A321-231 Seat 6F 2x IAE V5233-A5 Flight...
