The revolutionary new battery technology is 100% backward compatible with past and present AEG power tools. The intelligent battery electronics prevent the battery from being over or under charged increasing cell performance and life expectancy. The battery benefits from a robust, compact housing design with strategic rubber over-mouldings to withstand jobsite use and everyday impacts. An integrated cell frame holds the cells securely within the housing for added protection against vibrations and user drops. The cells are double spot welded for internal stability and to prolong the batteries life. An on board fuel gauge indicates the battery's remaining charge helping the user manage run time during applications. The PRO LITHIUM-ION slide pack design with recessed terminals helps maintain tool and battery connection and reduce the risk or shorting the battery during transport. Battery protection is key throughout the PRO LITHIUM-ION system with added safety features in the new PRO LITHIUM-ION intelligent charger. The charger analyses the battery's temperature and status and only begins charging when safe to do so prolonging the battery's life. Clear on board indicators denote charging processes, battery evaluations, any defects in the battery itself and temperature concerns, ultimately protecting the battery cells life and performance.
