Robert Longbottom
Robert Longbottom born 19 March 1957, is a dancer, choreographer, and director, primarily for the stage. He has received a Tony Award nomination for his choreography.
Longbottom conceived, directed, and choreographed the musical Pageant, which was presented off-Broadway at the Blue Angel in 1991. He directed and choreographed the US national tour of the Walt Disney Company musical On the Record, starring Emily Skinner. He has participated in the National Alliance for Musical Theatre Festival of New Musicals in 2008, directing Beatsville.
He is director and choreographer of a Broadway revival of Bye Bye Birdie that began previews September 10, 2009, and is scheduled for a limited run from October 15, 2009, to January 24, 2010. He is director of the Dreamgirls tour beginning performances on November 6, 2009 at the Apollo Theater.
