Turk (rapper)
Tab Virgil, Jr. (born 1981), better known by his stage name Turk (sometimes "Young Turk" or "Lil Turk"), is an American rapper from New Orleans, Louisiana. He is best known for his time with Cash Money Records and with the Hot Boys.
Career
His debut album Young & Thuggin' became a Top 10 hit on the Billboard 200. After the split of the Hot Boys in 2001 & his departure of Cash Money in 2003 he signed a deal with producer Ke'Noe at Laboratory Recordz and released two albums Raw & Uncut and Penitentiary Chances. In 2005, Turk was convicted on federal charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm, a fugitive from justice in possession of a firearm, and an unlawful user addicted to a controlled substance in possession of a firearm. The charges arose from the shooting of a Memphis,Tennessee police officer in early 2004. He was sentenced to 10 years of incarceration. In 2006, he entered an Alford plea in Tennessee state court to second-degree attempted murder, based on the same incident, and was sentenced to 14 years imprisonment.

Neil deGrasse Tyson
Neil deGrasse Tyson (/ˈniːəl dəˈɡræs ˈtaɪsən/; born October 5, 1958) is an American astrophysicist, cosmologist, author, and science communicator. Since 1996, he has been the Frederick P. Rose Director of the Hayden Planetarium at the Rose Center for Earth and Space in New York City. The center is part of the American Museum of Natural History, where Tyson founded the Department of Astrophysics in 1997 and has been a research associate in the department since 2003.
Born in New York City, Tyson became interested in astronomy at the age of nine after a visit to the Hayden Planetarium. After graduating from the Bronx High School of Science, where he was editor-in-chief of the Physical Science Journal, he completed a bachelor's degree in physics at Harvard University in 1980. After receiving a master's degree in astronomy at the University of Texas at Austin in 1983, he earned his master's (1989) and doctorate (1991) in astrophysics at Columbia University. For the next three years, he was a postdoctoral research associate at Princeton University, and in 1994, he joined the Hayden Planetarium as a staff scientist and the Princeton faculty as a visiting research scientist and lecturer. In 1996, he became director of the planetarium and oversaw its $210-million reconstruction project, which was completed in 2000.

http://www.vladtv.com - Turk recently sat down with DJ Smallz and he discussed fellow Hot Boys rapper B.G.'s current prison situation, and he revealed that it's possible that he could be released soon. The Louisiana-born emceee said that he used to speak with B.G. through a prison email system, but since the "Back to the Money" rapper was moved to a new facility, Turk hasn't had much contact with him. He then revealed that it's possible that B.G. could be out of prison earlier than his fourteen year sentence, as Turk spoke from personal experience. The "Its Hot" rapper explained that he was given a 22 year sentence, but he was let go after doing nearly nine years and Turk added that he "gave time back." “Why has Lil’ Kim seemingly lightened her skin? Because of the absurd, but very present, social advantage for black people that comes with having lighter skin.
There was a time when Lil’ Kim represented a brand of unapologetic self-love for black women. The kind that announced that we are sexual beings without shame or fear. She reflected what it might look like to be at once a woman, black, and sexually free. Visually, her body was a site for pleasure, most importantly her own.
Sonically, her lyrics offered us permission to explore our own bodies and our own pleasure. Lil’ Kim was our champion.”

His debut album Young & Thuggin' became a Top 10 hit on the Billboard 200. After the split of the Hot Boys in 2001 & his departure of Cash Money in 2003 he signed a deal with producer Ke'Noe at Laboratory Recordz and released two albums Raw & Uncut and Penitentiary Chances. In 2005, Turk was convicted on federal charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm, a fugitive from justice in possession of a firearm, and an unlawful user addicted to a controlled substance in possession of a firearm. The charges arose from the shooting of a Memphis,Tennessee police officer in early 2004. He was sentenced to 10 years of incarceration.[2] In 2006, he entered an Alford plea in Tennessee state court to second-degree attempted murder, based on the same incident, and was sentenced to 14 years imprisonment.[3]
While incarcerated Ke'Noe released two albums of unreleased Turk verses called Still A Hot Boy and Convicted Felons. The albums profits of the last two releases were put on Turk's prison books. Turk was released from prison in October 2012 after almost nine years of incarceration.[4] In December 2012, Turk made a hit single titled "Zip It" featuring Lil Wayne. Weeks later, a remix with Juvenile was made and released. In February 2013, a version with Turk, Lil Wayne, Juvenile and B.G. was made, making an official Hot Boys reunion song. Turk released a mixtape under SoundCloud called "Blame It On The System". In October 2013, Turk signed a recording deal with J. Prince to Rap-A-Lot Records. Later Turk Dropped An Mixtape Called Get "Money Stay Real" With The Hit Single "Zip It" Turk Then took some time off mixtapes And Worked on His Label YNT (Young N Thuggin) After Getting YNT Started He Officially Dropped His Anticipated "Get Money Stay Real 2" Mixtape In 2015. VladTV broke the story that Hot Boy Turk was suing Birdman for unpaid royalties, and during his exclusive interview with us, he admits that all he wants to do is "sit down, talk it out and admit where I was wrong at."
When asked how many royalty checks he's received as of late, Turk quickly questions Vlad, asking "what [does a royalty check] look like?" Turk feels that $1.3 million is not a lot of money because like Vlad said, "Birdman has cars worth more than $1.3 million." Turk didn't even realize that he was supposed to get royalty checks until he was sentenced to prison, and now he feels that it's "only right" that Birdman finally give him the money he's owed.

He performed from Beverly Hills but his hologram was in Chicago. The police shut down the concert. Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian (The Point) hosts of The Young Turks discuss.
