David Burke has been working in the theater department at Union University, Jackson, TN for over 20 years. He has been involved in over 100 productions as either the director, producer, an actor; or sometimes a combination of the three. He is an artist with many levels: "Found Art", "Sculpture" "Writer" "Actor" "Director" "Producer" "Film Maker." In 1994 he was awarded "Faculty of the Year: Union University" This video is a "small collection" of some of the many productions he has worked on. Enjoy the art.

Episode of the hit TV game show "America's Funniest Home Videos," where "Recovery Room Rambler" wins the $100,000 grand prize as "America's Funniest Home Video."
The year is 1988. George H.W. Bush, age 64, is elected U.S. President; the Persian Gulf Crisis is in full effect; and a rookie TV producer named Vin di Bona is enjoying a relaxing vacation in Japan with his lovely wife, Gina.
During the vacation, Vin, whose Saturday-morning game show "Animal Crack-Ups" is on its way off the air, catches a glimpse of a Japanese variety show called "Fun with Kato and Ken," a segment of which featured local Japan residents sending in their funniest/amazing moments ever caught on tape in the hopes of winning the Japanese equivalent of the American dollar.
Upon his return from the vacation, Vin (fascinated by the segment) thought to himself, "That's my NEXT Game Show!"
Soon afterwards, Vin pitched the concept to the ABC Television Network, which immediately greenlit the pilot in early 1989.
As he had done 2 years earlier with Alan Thicke (then starring on ABC's "Growing Pains") for "Animal Crack-Ups," Vin hired stand-up comic & ABC actor Bob Saget (then starring on "Full House") to host the pilot.
The pilot, by that time christened "America's Funniest Home Videos," taped in Spring 1989 and was telecast on November 26, 1989 on ABC--and became such a surprise hit that 7 weeks later, on January 14, 1990, the show, by this time trimmed to a 30-minute format, began airing every Sunday night at 8 P.M. in a format that has remained unchanged throughout its long run.
Americans send in their funniest and/or amazing home videos ever caught on tape, with the top 3 funniest home videos of the night winning a combined $15,000: $10,000 for 1st place, $3,000 for 2nd place, and $2,000 for 3rd place (in the 1st season only, in addition to the $5,000 2nd and 3rd place cash prizes, the 2nd and 3rd place winners, respectively, earned an RCA Video Camera and an RCA Full-Sized Television Set); at the end of each sweeps period, the $10,000 winners vie for an additional $100,000.
In May 1997, after 8 seasons, Bob Saget left "America's Funniest Home Videos"; he was replaced the following January by MTV VJ Daisy Fuentes (paired with stand-up comic John Fugelsang). By this time, however, the ratings took a nosedive, and in May 1999, after 10 successful seasons, ABC canceled "America's Funniest Home Videos," with the series finale (taped live at the House of Blues) telecast on August 28, 1999 on the ABC Television Network.
But wait, there's more: 2 years later, on July 20, 2001, ABC brought back "America's Funniest Home Videos" in a revival version in an hour-long format.
Other than the expansion, the format remained unchanged; this time, TV personality Tom Bergeron (then doing double-duty as a game show host with "Hollywood Squares" and now hosting the reality competition series "Dancing with the Stars" alongside Brooke Burke) taking over hosting duties--a job he maintains to this very day.
In 2008, "America's Funniest Home Videos" surpassed "What's My Line?" (which aired for 17 years on the CBS Television Network from February 2, 1950 - September 3, 1967) as network TV's longest-running Prime Time Game Show--and is the longest-running entertainment program in the history of the ABC Television Network.
Repeats of "America's Funniest Home Videos" have aired on TBS from 1995-1998, on the USA Network from 1998-2000, on the Hallmark Channel from 2001-2003 and again from January-February 2010, on Nickelodeon from April 30, 2007 - October 28, 2007, on WGN America since about 2006-2007, on ABC Family from 2006-2008 (estimated) and in off-network syndication (Bergeron episodes only) since September 12, 2010.
Distribution rights were bought by Disney's Buena Vista Television in 1995 after The Walt Disney Company bought the ABC Television Network (though the show itself was syndicated by Fox Television Studios until 2001).
Since its inception, "America's Funniest Home Videos" has been a production of ABC Entertainment for Vin di Bona Productions.

“The Italian”, 1915, is an amazingly well done silent movie. Thomas Ince always had a knack for bringing simple homespun stories to life with fullness and flair. "The Italian" is such a film. Solid acting, particularly by George Beban, father of silent child actor George Beban, Jr., and wonderful sets convey a realistic feeling of early immigrant tenements in New York. These give this 1915 film an authenticity which is unusual in features of this vintage.

Stunningly shot, with lighting effects that are truly sublime, this is an early gem that clearly reveals REGINALD BARKER to be a pioneer director of equal standing to D.W. GRIFFITH and MAURICE TOURNEUR. How much control Thomas Ince exerted over the production is hard to know, but this film still has extraordinary power. The simple story of an Italian immigrant struggling to keep his family alive in New York, is very moving. The themes of social injustice, revenge and forgiveness are completely relevant today. If you just look at the UK, which I know the numbers for very well, first of all, about 65 billion pounds per year is revenues either from fossil fuels or from the corporations in the oil and gas industry, but on top of the 65 billion per year, which might dry up, you have also got 20% of all the pension fund revenues in Britain that come from the oil and gas industry. So you’re not just talking about a problem in developing countries, it is also a problem in the developed world.

Apollo 13 is a 1995 American docudrama film directed by Ron Howard. The film stars Tom Hanks, Kevin Bacon, Bill Paxton, Gary Sinise, Kathleen Quinlan and Ed Harris. The screenplay by William Broyles, Jr. and Al Reinert, that dramatizes the 1970 Apollo 13 lunar mission, is an adaptation of the book Lost Moon: The Perilous Voyage of Apollo 13 by astronaut Jim Lovell and Jeffrey Kluger.
The film depicts astronauts Lovell, Jack Swigert and Fred Haise aboard Apollo 13 for America's third Moon landing mission. En route, an on-board explosion deprives their spacecraft of most of its oxygen supply and electric power, forcing NASA's flight controllers to abort the Moon landing, and turning the mission into a struggle to get the three men home safely.
Howard went to great lengths to create a technically accurate movie, employing NASA's technical assistance in astronaut and flight controller training for his cast, and even obtaining permission to film scenes aboard a reduced gravity aircraft for realistic depiction of the "weightlessness" experienced by the astronauts in space.
Released in the United States on June 30, 1995, Apollo 13 garnered critical acclaim and was nominated for many awards, with nine Academy Awards including Best Film Editing and Best Sound.[3] In total, the film grossed over $355 million worldwide during its theatrical releases.
Cast:
Tom Hanks as Apollo 13 Commander Jim Lovell. Jim Lovell stated that before the book was even written, the rights were being shopped to potential buyers[4] and that his first reaction was that actor Kevin Costner would be a good choice to play him.[5][6] However, by the time Howard acquired the director's position, Costner's name never came up in serious discussion, and Hanks had already been interested in doing a film based on Apollo 13. When Hanks' representative informed him that there was a script being passed around, he had the script sent to him.[4] John Travolta was initially offered the role of Lovell, but declined.[7]

Tom Burke (actor)
Tom Liam Benedict Burke (born 30 June 1981) is an English actor. He is best known for his role as Athos in the BBC series The Musketeers and as Dolokhov in another BBC drama series, War and Peace
Early life
Tom Burke was born in London and grew up in Kent. His parents, David Burke and Anna Calder-Marshall, and his godparents, Alan Rickman and Bridget Turner, were also actors. His grandfather was writer Arthur Calder-Marshall. Burke was born with a cleft lip.
Burke always wanted to become an actor and attended the National Youth Theatre and the Young Arden Theatre in Faversham during his youth, besides participating in the plays his parents staged in their hometown.
As a child, Burke was diagnosed with dyslexia and struggled academically. He left school before his A-levels because he "couldn't stand the idea of that" and thought he "wouldn't survive it". As soon as he left school at 17, he wrote to an acting agency and got the first role he ever auditioned for. He attended dance school before being accepted at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London when he was 18.

Apollo 13 is a 1995 American docudrama film directed by Ron Howard. The film stars Tom Hanks, Kevin Bacon, Bill Paxton, Gary Sinise, Kathleen Quinlan and Ed Harris. The screenplay by William Broyles, Jr. and Al Reinert, that dramatizes the 1970 Apollo 13 lunar mission, is an adaptation of the book Lost Moon: The Perilous Voyage of Apollo 13 by astronaut Jim Lovell and Jeffrey Kluger. The film depicts astronauts Lovell, Jack Swigert and Fred Haise aboard Apollo 13 for America's third Moon landing mission. En route, an on-board explosion deprives their spacecraft of most of its oxygen supply and electric power, forcing NASA's flight controllers to abort the Moon landing, and turning the mission into a struggle to get the three men home safely. Howard went to great lengths to create a technically accurate movie, employing NASA's technical assistance in astronaut and flight controller training for his cast, and even obtaining permission to film scenes aboard a reduced gravity aircraft for realistic depiction of the "weightlessness" experienced by the astronauts in space. Released in the United States on June 30, 1995, Apollo 13 garnered critical acclaim and was nominated for many awards, with nine Academy Awards including Best Film Editing and Best Sound.[3] In total, the film grossed over $355 million worldwide during its theatrical releases. Cast: Tom Hanks as Apollo 13 Commander Jim Lovell. Jim Lovell stated that before the book was even written, the rights were being shopped to potential buyers[4] and that his first reaction was that actor Kevin Costner would be a good choice to play him.[5][6] However, by the time Howard acquired the director's position, Costner's name never came up in serious discussion, and Hanks had already been interested in doing a film based on Apollo 13. When Hanks' representative informed him that there was a script being passed around, he had the script sent to him.[4] John Travolta was initially offered the role of Lovell, but declined.[7] Gary Sinise as Apollo 13 prime Command Module Pilot (CMP) Ken Mattingly. The year is 1988. George H.W. Bush, age 64, is elected U.S. President; the Persian Gulf Crisis is in full effect; and a rookie TV producer named Vin di Bona is enjoying a relaxing vacation in Japan with his lovely wife, Gina.
During the vacation, Vin, whose Saturday-morning game show "Animal Crack-Ups" is on its way off the air, catches a glimpse of a Japanese variety show called "Fun with Kato and Ken," a segment of which featured local Japan residents sending in their funniest/amazing moments ever caught on tape in the hopes of winning the Japanese equivalent of the American dollar.
Upon his return from the vacation, Vin (fascinated by the segment) thought to himself, "That's my NEXT Game Show!"
Soon afterwards, Vin pitched the concept to the ABC Television Network, which immediately greenlit the pilot in early 1989.
As he had done 2 years earlier with Alan Thicke (then starring on ABC's "Growing Pains") for "Animal Crack-Ups," Vin hired stand-up comic & ABC actor Bob Saget (then starring on "Full House") to host the pilot.
The pilot, by that time christened "America's Funniest Home Videos," taped in Spring 1989 and was telecast on November 26, 1989 on ABC--and became such a surprise hit that 7 weeks later, on January 14, 1990, the show, by this time trimmed to a 30-minute format, began airing every Sunday night at 8 P.M. in a format that has remained unchanged throughout its long run.
Americans send in their funniest and/or amazing home videos ever caught on tape, with the top 3 funniest home videos of the night winning a combined $15,000: $10,000 for 1st place, $3,000 for 2nd place, and $2,000 for 3rd place (in the 1st season only, in addition to the $5,000 2nd and 3rd place cash prizes, the 2nd and 3rd place winners, respectively, earned an RCA Video Camera and an RCA Full-Sized Television Set); at the end of each sweeps period, the $10,000 winners vie for an additional $100,000.
In May 1997, after 8 seasons, Bob Saget left "America's Funniest Home Videos"; he was replaced the following January by MTV VJ Daisy Fuentes (paired with stand-up comic John Fugelsang). By this time, however, the ratings took a nosedive, and in May 1999, after 10 successful seasons, ABC canceled "America's Funniest Home Videos," with the series finale (taped live at the House of Blues) telecast on August 28, 1999 on the ABC Television Network.
But wait, there's more: 2 years later, on July 20, 2001, ABC brought back "America's Funniest Home Videos" in a revival version in an hour-long format.
Other than the expansion, the format remained unchanged; this time, TV personality Tom Bergeron (then doing double-duty as a game show host with "Hollywood Squares" and now hosting the reality competition series "Dancing with the Stars" alongside Brooke Burke) taking over hosting duties--a job he maintains to this very day.
In 2008, "America's Funniest Home Videos" surpassed "What's My Line?" (which aired for 17 years on the CBS Television Network from February 2, 1950 - September 3, 1967) as network TV's longest-running Prime Time Game Show--and is the longest-running entertainment program in the history of the ABC Television Network.
Repeats of "America's Funniest Home Videos" have aired on TBS from 1995-1998, on the USA Network from 1998-2000, on the Hallmark Channel from 2001-2003 and again from January-February 2010, on Nickelodeon from April 30, 2007 - October 28, 2007, on WGN America since about 2006-2007, on ABC Family from 2006-2008 (estimated) and in off-network syndication (Bergeron episodes only) since September 12, 2010.
Distribution rights were bought by Disney's Buena Vista Television in 1995 after The Walt Disney Company bought the ABC Television Network (though the show itself was syndicated by Fox Television Studios until 2001).

Apollo 13 is a 1995 American docudrama film directed by Ron Howard. The film stars Tom Hanks, Kevin Bacon, Bill Paxton, Gary Sinise, Kathleen Quinlan and Ed Harris. The screenplay by William Broyles, Jr. and Al Reinert, that dramatizes the 1970 Apollo 13 lunar mission, is an adaptation of the book Lost Moon: The Perilous Voyage of Apollo 13 by astronaut Jim Lovell and Jeffrey Kluger.
The film depicts astronauts Lovell, Jack Swigert and Fred Haise aboard Apollo 13 for America's third Moon landing mission. En route, an on-board explosion deprives their spacecraft of most of its oxygen supply and electric power, forcing NASA's flight controllers to abort the Moon landing, and turning the mission into a struggle to get the three men home safely.
Howard went to great lengths to create a technically accurate movie, employing NASA's technical assistance in astronaut and flight controller training for his cast, and even obtaining permission to film scenes aboard a reduced gravity aircraft for realistic depiction of the "weightlessness" experienced by the astronauts in space.
Released in the United States on June 30, 1995, Apollo 13 garnered critical acclaim and was nominated for many awards, with nine Academy Awards including Best Film Editing and Best Sound.[3] In total, the film grossed over $355 million worldwide during its theatrical releases.
Cast:
Tom Hanks as Apollo 13 Commander Jim Lovell. Jim Lovell stated that before the book was even written, the rights were being shopped to potential buyers[4] and that his first reaction was that actor Kevin Costner would be a good choice to play him.[5][6] However, by the time Howard acquired the director's position, Costner's name never came up in serious discussion, and Hanks had already been interested in doing a film based on Apollo 13. When Hanks' representative informed him that there was a script being passed around, he had the script sent to him.[4] John Travolta was initially offered the role of Lovell, but declined.[7]
Gary Sinise as Apollo 13 prime Command Module Pilot (CMP) Ken Mattingly. Sinise was invited by Howard to read for any of the characters, and chose Mattingly.[4]

It’s important to remember that the agreement that we got in Paris was better than most people expected, partly following a joint initiative by Obama and Xi in the middle of last year, and I think that’s what they are planning to do again this afternoon. So I don’t think that you should see it as a misalignment between the Chinese and the Americans. I think that there is a real sense that if they speak together on this issue they are going to add real momentum to the process of getting ratification to complete.

The focus of the debate is shifting away from being a debate about how do you stop carbon, a bad thing, coming out of our economy, and how do you take advantage of the falling cost of renewables and the falling cost of batteries, and take the opportunities of building a cheaper, cleaner, faster energy system. I think that what we are going to see is much more competition between countries to take advantage of the economic opportunities, rather that people trying to cheat on the commitments that they have made.

Dr. Thomas Burke shares his background in blood flow, and how it led him to Near Infrared Light Therapy, including healing difficult diabetic wounds, and damaged brain tissue caused by concussions and other traumatic brain injuries. Dr. Burke goes into further detail of the process of Light Therapy, its benefits, and how it may be used to further increase the efficacy of medication in problem areas of injury due to the increase in blood flow. Dr. Burke lists other disorders that may benefit from Near Infrared Light Therapy's benefit of blood flow increase, including PTSD, ADHD, and Alzheimer's.
