Ben & Jason were a singer-songwriter duo from London consisting of Ben Parker and Jason Hazeley. Formed in 1998 and pre-empting the so-called New Acoustic Movement by about a year, they released three albums on Go! Beat/Universal: Hello, Emoticons and Ten Songs About You. When they were dropped from their major label deal, the band released their final album, Goodbye, on the independent label Setanta.
As songwriters-for-hire, they collaborated with Mundy and Martine McCutcheon.
Their biggest hit was Air Guitar, which reached #76 in the UK charts. Far better known is their collaboration with Kinobe, Slip Into Something... (from the album Soundphiles).
The pair went their separate ways in December 2003 after disappointing results but excellent reviews from the penultimate album "Ten Songs About You", and in particular the seminal masterpiece of a single "The Wild Things".
Ben Parker went on to form the band Lux Luther with bass player Ollie Russian, drummer Ben Carpenter (now of the Creepy Morons) and guitarist Gavin Slater (now of Ghosts) in 2004. After varying success on the London gig circuit the band split in May 2006 when Parker decided to go solo. Ben appeared on the 2004 CD Scissors In My Pocket by Polly Paulusma in 2004, toured the UK with David Berkeley in 2007 and has also collaborated with Sophie Solomon on her second solo studio album. More recently Ben has composed the music for BBC3 sitcom How Not To Live Your Life and worked on the John Lennon biopic Nowhere Boy as music tutor, arranger & producer. He now has a new band, Braxton Hix, formed in 2009 with singer Kate Aumonier and produces and writes for new artists such as Pearl & The Puppets and Dutch singer Waylon.
Jason Hazeley now writes comedy, and is one of the authors of The Framley Examiner, Bollocks To Alton Towers, Far From The Sodding Crowd and Viz.

Joel Morris
Joel Morris is a UK comedy writer. Along with Jason Hazeley, he has written for many British comedy shows, including That Mitchell and Webb Look and Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe and Newswipe programmes, as well as many others. He is one of the writers of Bollocks to Alton Towers. a humorous guide book to the United Kingdom.
Morris was one of the founders of the Framley Examiner website. He is also lead singer in the band Candidate.
In October 2015, it was announced that Morris had co-written a series of Ladybird books for adults with Jason Hazeley. The eight books, which parody the style and artwork of the company’s classic books for children, include the titles The Hangover, Mindfulness, Dating and The Hipster and will be published on 18 November 2015.

Jason
Jason (/ˈdʒeɪsən/; Greek: Ἰάσων Iásōn) was an ancient Greek mythological hero who was famous for his role as the leader of the Argonauts and their quest for the Golden Fleece. He was the son of Aeson, the rightful king of Iolcos. He was married to the sorceress Medea. Because he belongs to mythology, he may have existed before the Greek Dark Ages (1100–800 BC.) The people who wrote about Jason lived around 300 BC.
Jason appeared in various literary works in the classical world of Greece and Rome, including the epic poem Argonautica and the tragedy Medea. In the modern world, Jason has emerged as a character in various adaptations of his myths, such as the 1963 film Jason and the Argonauts and the 2000 TV miniseries of the same name. Jason is also the main character in the British TV series Atlantis.
Jason has connections outside the classical world, being the mythical founder of the city of Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia.

Formed in 1998 and pre-empting the so-called New Acoustic Movement by about a year, they released three albums on Go! Beat/Universal: Hello, Emoticons and Ten Songs About You. When they were dropped from their major label deal, the band released their final album, Goodbye, on the independent label Setanta.
As songwriters-for-hire, they collaborated with Mundy and Martine McCutcheon.
Their biggest hit was Air Guitar, which reached #76 in the UK charts. Far better known is their collaboration with Kinobe, Slip Into Something... (from the album Soundphiles).
The pair went their separate ways in December 2003 after disappointing results but excellent reviews from the penultimate album "Ten Songs About You", and in particular the seminal masterpiece of a single "The Wild Things".
Ben Parker went on to form the band Lux Luther with bass player Ollie Russian, drummer Ben Carpenter (now of the Creepy Morons) and guitarist Gavin Slater (now of Ghosts) in 2004. After varying success on the London gig circuit the band split in May 2006 when Parker decided to go solo. Ben appeared on the 2004 CD Scissors In My Pocket by Polly Paulusma in 2004, toured the UK with David Berkeley in 2007 and has also collaborated with Sophie Solomon on her second solo studio album. More recently Ben has composed the music for BBC3 sitcom How Not To Live Your Life and worked on the John Lennon biopic Nowhere Boy as music tutor, arranger & producer. He now has a new band, Braxton Hix, formed in 2009 with singer Kate Aumonier and produces and writes for new artists such as Pearl & The Puppets and Dutch singer Waylon.

Ben & Jason were a singer-songwriter duo from London consisting of Ben Parker and Jason Hazeley. Formed in 1998 and pre-empting the so-called New Acoustic Movement by about a year, they released three albums on Go! Beat/Universal: Hello, Emoticons and Ten Songs About You. When they were dropped from their major label deal, the band released their final album, Goodbye, on the independent label Setanta. As songwriters-for-hire, they collaborated with Mundy and Martine McCutcheon. Their biggest hit was Air Guitar, which reached #76 in the UK charts. Far better known is their collaboration with Kinobe, Slip Into Something... (from the album Soundphiles). He now has a new band, Braxton Hix, formed in 2009 with singer Kate Aumonier and produces and writes for new artists such as Pearl & The Puppets and Dutch singer Waylon.
Jason Hazeley now writes comedy, and is one of the authors of The Framley Examiner, Bollocks To Alton Towers, Far From The Sodding Crowd and Viz.
