Advance Wars, later released in Japan as Game Boy Wars Advance (ゲームボーイウォーズアドバンス, Gēmu Bōi Wōzu Adobansu) is a turn-based tactics video game developed for the Game Boy Advance by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo. It was released in North America on September 10, 2001 with a later release date on Japan and Europe, but the game release was put on hold in both Japan and Europe region due to the following day's September 11, 2001 attacks in the United States. Although the game was released in Europe in January 2002, neither GBA game was released in Japan until the Game Boy Wars Advance 1+2 compilation on November 25, 2004. Advance Wars has most recently been released for the Wii U Virtual Console simultaneously in Europe and North America on April 3, 2014.
Advance Wars is the first game in the Advance Wars series of video games, followed by Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising (also for the Game Boy Advance), and then by Advance Wars: Dual Strike and Advance Wars: Days of Ruin for the Nintendo DS. These games form a sub-series of the Nintendo Wars set of games.
Advance Wars: Dual Strike, known in Japan as Famicom Wars DS (ファミコンウォーズDS, Famikon Wōzu Dī Esu), is a turn-based tactics video game developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo DS handheld game console. It is the third installment in the Advance Wars series (first on DS media) and was released in Japan on June 23, 2005, in North America on August 22, 2005, in Europe on September 30, 2005, and in Australia on March 22, 2006. The game is preceded by Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising and Advance Wars and succeeded by Advance Wars: Days of Ruin. Advance Wars is the international title of the Wars video game series, which dates back to the Family Computer game Famicom Wars in 1988.
The storyline is a continuation of the previous series and is set in the new location of Omega Land. Black Hole has returned under the leadership of a new commander who seeks to give himself eternal life by draining the energy of Omega Land. The Allied Nations struggle to overcome this threat and are eventually joined by several former Black Hole commanding officers in an effort to save the land.
A black hole is a geometrically defined region of spacetime exhibiting such strong gravitational effects that nothing—including particles and electromagnetic radiation such as light—can escape from inside it. The theory of general relativity predicts that a sufficiently compact mass can deform spacetime to form a black hole. The boundary of the region from which no escape is possible is called the event horizon. Although crossing the event horizon has enormous effect on the fate of the object crossing it, it appears to have no locally detectable features. In many ways a black hole acts like an ideal black body, as it reflects no light. Moreover, quantum field theory in curved spacetime predicts that event horizons emit Hawking radiation, with the same spectrum as a black body of a temperature inversely proportional to its mass. This temperature is on the order of billionths of a kelvin for black holes of stellar mass, making it essentially impossible to observe.
Objects whose gravitational fields are too strong for light to escape were first considered in the 18th century by John Michell and Pierre-Simon Laplace. The first modern solution of general relativity that would characterize a black hole was found by Karl Schwarzschild in 1916, although its interpretation as a region of space from which nothing can escape was first published by David Finkelstein in 1958. Black holes were long considered a mathematical curiosity; it was during the 1960s that theoretical work showed they were a generic prediction of general relativity. The discovery of neutron stars sparked interest in gravitationally collapsed compact objects as a possible astrophysical reality.
War is a state of armed conflict between societies. It is generally characterized by extreme collective aggression, destruction, and usually high mortality. The set of techniques and actions used to conduct war is known as warfare. An absence of war is usually called "peace". Total war is warfare that is not restricted to purely legitimate military targets, and can result in massive civilian or other non-combatant casualties.
While some scholars see war as a universal and ancestral aspect of human nature, others argue that it is only a result of specific socio-cultural or ecological circumstances.
In 2013 war resulted in 31,000 deaths down from 72,000 deaths in 1990. The deadliest war in history, in terms of the cumulative number of deaths since its start, is the Second World War, from 1939 to 1945, with 60–85 million deaths, followed by the Mongol conquests which was greater than 41 million. Proportionally speaking, the most destructive war in modern history is the War of the Triple Alliance, which took the lives of over 60% of Paraguay's population, according to Steven Pinker. In 2003, Richard Smalley identified war as the sixth (of ten) biggest problem facing humanity for the next fifty years. War usually results in significant deterioration of infrastructure and the ecosystem, a decrease in social spending, famine, large-scale emigration from the war zone, and often the mistreatment of prisoners of war or civilians. Another byproduct of some wars is the prevalence of propaganda by some or all parties in the conflict, and increased revenues by weapons manufacturers.

S-Rank 860pts - (Speed -100; Power -100; Tech. -100 +560 Oozium) A REDO, Last play through had a couple minutes missing from part 4 and I did better this run. Plus its in one video instead of four. Pretty easy compared to the last two final missions from previous games. As long as you can get control of the bottom part of the map and keep the ooziums at bay its pretty straight forward especially with Jake's plains bonus and skills to beef up his offense. I had the AI control the secondary front since its less work. You don't seem to get penalize if you lose a crap ton of units on the secondary front. Advance Wars Dual Strike - FINAL Mission 28 Means to an End S-Rank Walkthrough
**Watch in HD** **READ BEFORE COMMENTING** My play-through of Nintendo's third strategic war series, Advance Wars on the DS. Pretty much after seeing only a couple of videos on this game I decided to do one. Also, IT WILL NOT BE PERFECT but it will try to cover Normal Campaign with an S rank overall, some missions I might have an A rank. ___[S] Rank___ Speed - 100 Power - 100 Tech. - 100 *Pretty easy and I will be skipping a lot of the dialog since I find it annoying.
Tier 1 (Balanced Tier): Jake, Max, Olaf, Sasha, Grimm, Javier, Drake, Adder, Zak, Flak, Jugger Tier 2 (Strong Tier): Andy, Sonja, Eagle, Hawke Tier 3 (Overpowered Tier): Sami, Rachel, Nell, Grit, Kanbei, Sensei Jess, Kindle, Lash Tier 4 (Broken Tier): Colin, Von Bolt Tier 5 (God Tier): Hachi
S-Rank 300pts - (Speed -100; Power -100; Tech. -100 ) At first glance, it looks like your at a disadvantage. To tell you the truth, you are but since fog is schedule for day three that disadvantage turned into an advantage! Yayz! Ok, Sasha is REALLY IMPORTANT if you want to avoid Drake's Power which can take 2Hp of every unit of yours and cut its Fuel in half then use Sasha's power to drain their Star Meter to ZERO.
S-Rank 385pts - (Speed -100; Power -85; Tech. -100 +30 - Black Obelisk +30 Cannon +40 -Oozium) From this point on, its a pain. Now something intersting happens when you place an anti-air
Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow video game review of Advance Wars: Dual Strike, developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo for the DS. Dual Strike takes place after the events of the first two Advance Wars games for the GBA. The Black Hole Army has mounted an offensive against the nations of Omega Land, and it's up to those nations to strike back in tactical combat. The whole cast from the previous titles returns, along with some new friends, to blast the evil Black Hole's devices, reclaim their lands, and drive off the attackers but good. This CGRundertow video game review features video gameplay footage of Advance Wars: Dual Strike for the DS and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's TJ. **Watch in HD (Recommended)** S Rank 297pt - (Speed - 100; Power - 100; Tech. - 97) Advance Wars Dual Strike - Mission 12: Lighting Strikes Well, as you can see, this is the first mission where I didn't Score a perfect. But anyways, you face against the Yellow Comet Co's Grim and Sensei. A bit challenging since you have to control two different fronts and that your disadvantaged at the second front.
