Andrea Barber

Andrea Laura Barber (born July 3, 1976) is an American actress. She is known for playing Kimmy Gibbler in the ABC sitcom Full House and for having originated the role of Carrie Brady in Days of Our Lives.

Career

Barber's first major role was as the original Carrie Brady on the American soap opera Days of Our Lives, from 1982 to 1986. She also guest starred and starred in many movies and television series. Barber is known for her role on the TV show Full House as Kimmy Gibbler, the best friend of D.J. Tanner (Candace Cameron Bure), the oldest daughter in the Tanner household, which she played from 1987 to 1995. She was at first a recurring role but shortly thereafter became a regular. After Full House ended, Barber retired from acting and started focusing on her personal life. In 2012, Barber reprised the role for a Funny or Die sketch alongside Dave Coulier, her former Full House co-star, and says she would love to return to acting soon.

Barber will reprise her role as Kimmy Gibbler in the Full House spin-off titled Fuller House, along with Candace Cameron Bure and Jodie Sweetin. The series is scheduled to air on Netflix in 2016.

Jodie Sweetin

Jodie Lee Ann Sweetin (born January 19, 1982) is an American actress and television personality, best known for her role as Stephanie Tanner on the long-running television sitcom Full House and its spin off series Fuller House.

Early life and career

Sweetin was born in Los Angeles, California. Her parents were both in prison at the time, and she was adopted and raised as an only child by her uncle Sam Sweetin and his second wife Janice when she was nine months old. The adoption was not formalized until she was two years old because her birth father was one-fourth Native American. Years later, she said she was told not to talk about her adoption publicly out of fear that people would think she was forced into acting. While in high school, she and actor Matthew Morrison performed in musical theatre together.

Her debut acting role was in the sitcom Valerie in 1987 when she played Pamela, the niece of Mrs. Poole (Edie McClurg).Jeff Franklin cast her as Stephanie Tanner in Full House in 1987 and she played that role until the show ended in 1995. This has become her most famous role to date. After the show's finale, Sweetin graduated from Los Alamitos High School in Los Alamitos, California in 1999, and attended Chapman University in Orange, California.

Full House

Full House is an American sitcom created by Jeff Franklin for ABC. The show chronicles a widowed father, who enlists his best friend and his brother-in-law to help raise his three daughters. It aired from September 22, 1987, to May 23, 1995, broadcasting eight seasons and 192 episodes.

The series has been rebroadcast in syndication and tie-in merchandise, such as a series of books, have been marketed.

Plot summary

After his wife is killed in a car accident, news anchorman Danny Tanner recruits his brother-in-law Jesse Katsopolis (a rock musician) and best friend Joey Gladstone (who works as a stand-up comedian) to help raise his three young daughters: 10-year-old D.J., 5-year-old Stephanie, and 10-month-old Michelle, in his San Francisco home. Over time, the three men as well as the children bond and become closer to one another.

In season two, Danny is reassigned from his duties as sports anchor by his television station to become co-host of a local morning television show, Wake Up, San Francisco, and is teamed up with Nebraska native Rebecca Donaldson. Jesse and Becky eventually fall in love, and get married in season four. In season five, Becky gives birth to twin sons, Nicky and Alex. The series ends on Michelle getting amnesia, but regaining her memory at the end of the episode.

Candace Cameron Bure

Candace Helaine Cameron Bure (/bʊˈreɪ/; born April 6, 1976) is an American actress, producer, author, and talk show panelist. She is known for the role of D.J. Tanner, the eldest daughter, on the television series Full House which she played from ages 10 to 18. She is the younger sister of actor Kirk Cameron. In 2014, she was a contestant on Dancing with the Stars: season 18, finishing in third place.

Early life

Candace Helaine Cameron was born in Panorama City, Los Angeles, California on April 6, 1976 to Robert Cameron and Barbara Bausmith Cameron. She is one of four children.

Career

Following in the footsteps of her older brother Kirk, Bure decided to pursue acting. She started in the entertainment business by appearing in a number of television commercials. Soon after, she guest starred in roles on shows such as St. Elsewhere, Growing Pains, and Who's the Boss? (Among the roles for which she auditioned was the lead on Small Wonder, which ultimately went to Tiffany Brissette.) In a 1985 episode of the sitcom Punky Brewster, Cameron portrayed a girl named Jennifer Bates who had been kidnapped by her father. In 1987, she had a role as the youngest sister of Eric Stoltz in the teen comedy Some Kind of Wonderful.
