Barry Primus (born February 16, 1938) is an American television and film actor, director, and writer.
Primus is primarily an actor, but he has also doubled and tripled as writer and director. He worked on stage for the first decade of his career. He gained some experience on TV in shows like The Defenders, East Side/West Side and The Virginian. He then made his screen bow in the Manhattan-filmed The Brotherhood (1968). Additional films include Boxcar Bertha (1972), Autopsy (1975), Heartland (1979), Night Games (1980), Absence of Malice (1981), and Guilty by Suspicion (1991). He had a recurring role on the CBS TV series Cagney and Lacey (1982 — 1988) as Christine Cagney's (Sharon Gless) boyfriend Sergeant Dory McKenna, whose drug problem compromises his value as a police officer. He also guest starred in Murder, She Wrote.
After working as director Mark Rydell's assistant on The Rose (1979), Primus increased his behind-the-camera activities; in 1992, he directed his first theatrical feature, the "inside" Hollywood comedy/drama Mistress.

Oliver trying to drive a sequential gearbox for the first time. Proshift is AMAZING best thing for a race car, upshift and down shift is so much easier with this, its like a video game. If could only imagine how insane it would be with paddle shift, I would sell my soul to get one lol .

This emotionally-charged film celebrates the triumph of a young rural couple as they face nature's greatest ravages, the threat of poverty and a wrenching separation. Sissy Spacek, Mel Gibson and Scott Glenn star in this moving tribute to love, faith, determination and the vanishing America of the independent farm family. Tom and Mae Garvey (Gibson and Spacek) are struggling to keep their homestead safe from the local power authority who wants to flood their land. When Mae's former beau, John Wade (Glenn), turns out to be in charge of the plan to acquire the property, tensions run high, climaxing in a devastating confrontation on the flooded river banks.
After witnessing a murder, Alice Kildee (Bonnie Bedelia) is involved in a car accident. She wakes up in a hospital with no memory of who she is, but has total recall concerning the murder. The problem is, no such killing has been reported. So the authorities, assuming that Alice is merely fantasizing, release her picture to the papers in hopes of identifying her. Through the help of psychiatrist Harris Kite Peter Riegert, Alice comes to realize that the murder she has described in such vivid detail actually took place in a movie she saw just before her accident. But if this is the case, why is a hit man (David Spielberg) determined to rub out poor Alice? (Original TItle - The Stranger (1987)) © 1986 Columbia Pictures Industries, Inc. All Rights Reserved.
