Posting to the WA Police Facebook page, the ROG said the officers stopped at a service station to fuel up when they noticed a small bag of methamphetamine lying on the ground in plain view beside the petrol pump.

"No one was in the immediate vicinity so they decided to check the service station CCTV to try and identify a person or vehicle responsible for the drugs," the police post said, with officers scrolling through the vision to find whodunnit.

"The POI turned out to be a pesky crow who had fished the drugs out of a nearby rubbish bin.

"The crow took off from the scene, believed heading for a crowbar? The drugs have been seized and inquires continuing. Drugs are bad."

Nice work officers - perhaps you'll get to ruffle a few more feathers soon.
