Khloe Kardashian: 'She's not doing well'
Kim Kardashian is still recovering after being robbed at gunpoint in Paris, her sister Khloe tells Ellen.
"She's not doing that well, I mean, it's incredibly traumatic what happened to her," Khloe said.
"But our family is super close, and great, and we'll get through it together."
Notorious (and often criticised) for intricately documenting their private lives for fans on Instagram and Snapchat, as well as on their personal subscription app services, Khloe also said her family would be "pulling back" from social media in order to look after her sister.
"Usually everybody's on social media, everyone's tweeting and Instagramming constantly," host Ellen DeGeneres said. "[Is] everything shut down now?"
Khloe responded by saying the event had been a "wake-up call" for her family.
"It's a wake-up call for all of us, but definitely just to make sure our sister's okay."
"And to not share as much anymore?" DeGeneres pressed.
"Yeah, I think in that aspect, and just making sure that we're as well protected as possible," Khloe replied, adding that "to pull back a little bit is always smart".
The comments come after the E! Network confirmed production on the family's reality television show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, had been put on hold indefinitely following the attack.
"Kim's wellbeing is our core focus right now. No decision has been made as to when production will resume," an E! spokesperson told Variety.
In the hours before Khloe's Ellen appearance, Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner also broke her silence on last week's traumatic events, sharing a message to her Instagram account reflecting on her daughter's ordeal.
"Every morning is a reminder of how blessed we are. Today I am grateful for my family, who I love more than words can explain," the post read.
"Count your blessings, be grateful always, and cherish every moment you spend with your loved ones."
Kim Kardashian was robbed of jewellery worth between $11-$14 million at gunpoint in the early hours of Monday, October 3, while in her room at the Hotel de Pourtales, in Paris' Eighth Arrondissement.
According to French police, two men dressed as police received directions to the star's room from the hotel's receptionist, who they had tied up and gagged.
The reality star was then gagged and tied up in her suite's bathroom before the men escaped with at least three accomplices.Â
It is understood the Kardashian family's go-to bodyguard Pascal Duvier was with Kim's sisters Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner at the nearby Arc nightclub during the attack.
A week after the incident made headlines, Kardashian's legal team have filed their first lawsuit against a media outlet for doubting the validity of the story.
In a defamation lawsuit filed in the US federal court in New York against celebrity gossip website MediaTakeOut.com on Tuesday, her team allege the site refused to publish a retraction or apology, after reporting she had faked the robbery.
"After having been the victim of a horrific and traumatic armed robbery in France, Kim Kardashian returned to the United States only to again be victimised, but this time by an online gossip tabloid that published a series of articles in early October 2016 referring to her a liar and thief," it reads.
