"Satisfied" is a chart-topping hit song recorded by American rock singer Richard Marx for his second album, Repeat Offender. It was Richard's second of three consecutive #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.
"Satisfied" was the lead single from Richard Marx's highly anticipated second album, Repeat Offender. Heavy radio, video and retail attention led to the single's #39 debut on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, during the week of May 6, 1989. The single steadily climbed to the top, reaching the #1 spot the week of June 24, 1989. "Satisfied" was the first of five Top 15 singles from Marx's second studio album, which kept the artist on the singles chart consecutively for well over a year during 1989 and 1990.
"Satisfied" is a single from Stop the World, the second studio album from American rock band Aranda. Produced by Johnny K, the song was released on March 28, 2012 and was ranked No. 14 at Active Rock in October 2012.
The song was marketed by students at Academy of Contemporary Music at the University of Central Oklahoma. Starting in February 2012, Trey Rick, the coordinator of academic operations for the Academy of Contemporary Music located at the University of Central Oklahoma, decided to take an alternative path from what is usually undertaken in his "Music Marketing and Retail 2" course. In place of the standard path, Rick allowed a dozen of his students to market Aranda, who earlier approached Rick about how to best promote their upcoming record.
The students studied the band's music, studied the internet to determine where the group may have a following, and spoke with others to measure how people received the band. After marketing proposals were concocted, the best six were shown to the band. Because the band released Stop the World six months before, things happened out of sequence, which made the project a non-textbook case.
Satisfied is the fifth studio album released by singer-songwriter Taylor Dayne. It includes the hit single, "Beautiful" which went to Number 1 on the Billboard Hot Dance Charts in April 2008. "Crash" was used in a promotional commercial for the ABC network.
The album has received positive to mixed reviews from music critics.
Deep is the third and final studio album from Belfast New Wave/rock band Silent Running, released in 1989.
Despite the commercial failure of the band's 1987 album Walk on Fire and its two singles, the band began to record their second album for Atlantic Records.
Following the release of the Deep album, the band toured extensively after the album's release but split up shortly thereafter, citing a lack of record company support. The band would later reunite for one final performance at Belfast's Empire Music Hall to a capacity crowd in 1998. Reportedly, demos for the unreleased fourth album are widely available although unofficially only.
Like the previous two albums, Deep was a commercial failure.
The album's title is taken from the opening track "Deep in the Heart of Nowhere".
Both "Deep in the Heart of Nowhere" and "Local Hero" were released as promotional singles on CD in America only.
The first four tracks of the album were produced by the band themselves with Frankie LaRocka and Peter Denenberg, who both engineered the album. The rest of the tracks were produced by John Eden, whilst LaRocka and Deneberg remixed the tracks produced by Eden. The album was LaRocka's first attempt at production work, where he also played drums on part of the album. Originally, LaRocka had signed the band while working in the A&R department at Atlantic Records.
Deep is the third studio album from the jazz rock fusion trio Niacin, released in March 2000.
The album is heavily loaded with Billy Sheehan's powerful bass solos and features contributions from guest musicians Glenn Hughes on vocals and Steve Lukather on guitar.
Ten is the debut studio album by the American rock band Pearl Jam, released on August 27, 1991 through Epic Records. Following the disbanding of bassist Jeff Ament and guitarist Stone Gossard's previous group Mother Love Bone, the two recruited vocalist Eddie Vedder, guitarist Mike McCready, and drummer Dave Krusen to form Pearl Jam in 1990. Most of the songs began as instrumental jams, to which Vedder added lyrics about topics such as depression, homelessness, and abuse.
Ten was not an immediate success, but by late 1992 it had reached number two on the Billboard 200 chart. The album produced three hit singles: "Alive", "Even Flow", and "Jeremy". While Pearl Jam was accused of jumping on the grunge bandwagon at the time, Ten was instrumental in popularizing alternative rock in the mainstream. In February 2013, the album crossed the 10 million mark in sales and has been certified 13x platinum by the RIAA. It remains Pearl Jam's most commercially successful album.
[Verse 1:]
Fresh to death she is, from her steps to her sex she is,
So death might not let me live, You dig, fresh, uh huh, yes she is,
Had a feelin?, that it would be a day like this,
The orchestra in my mind, don?t play like this.
Naw, but I?m prepared for it, got a little red for it,
Brushed off my airs, even cut my hair for it,
Cause normally I don?t care for it,
Don?t even be lookin? for life, like that, then there it go n
Yea, right over there, so I?m prepared to pour it,
A little scared my dear lord, momma said ?Have no fear.?
Plus I?m already out of my chair, got love my airs,
From my square and here forward,
It?s nothin? right, so here it go whisper in her ear,
Kinda crowded in here, wish you cared to blow it.
She said yeah.
[Chorus:]
You're My sunshine(You My sunshine)
(yea) You're My moonlight(You My moonlight)
You're the stormy skies above me
Won't you please come down and hug me
Think I've found love in this club, tonight
Oh, whoa
[Verse 2:]
Never met her before, but I think I like her like a metaphor,
It's hard to get, in tha car we sit,
From the intro, she rolled down her window,
Just incase I was a schitzo ,
I compliment her on the common sense,
I'm calm, a little more confident,
(Yea) uh huh, and then we lose consciousness,
She says that I've been waiting for you.
And I know you've been chasin' me too.
Since they kidnapped me from a castle, I've been thinkin' of you.
I told a fire breathing dragon He?d better not harm me, he?d be sorry,
When he meets my one man army.
And thou has come to rescue me,
My knight and shining armor, yes you be,
Woken up by the horn of an SUV,
I said 'See, too beautiful to let you sleep.?
[Chorus:]
You're My sunshine (You My sunshine)
You're my moonlight (You My moonlight)
You're the stormy skies above me,
Won't you please come down and hug me
Think I've found love in this club tonight
Oh, Whoa
[Verse 3:]
Relationship is just thirty minutes long,
It's kinda heavy, maybe a little strong,
Gon' take much more than once,
Can't trust what each of us say, at least for a month,
Or two, before I bid you a due,
Do this one thing for me,
Out of the trillions numbers that?s in the world, just leave me a few,
That lead to you, won't be long n, I'll see you in tha mornin'
[Chorus:]
You're my sunshine(You My sunshine)
You're my moonlight (You My moo'light)
You're the stormy skies above me
Won't you please come down and hug me
Think I've found love in this club tonight
