Abran Maldonado + James Turnbull + Jordan Taylor + Fred Mwangaguhunga + Peter Boyce Moderator: Jukay Hsu Abran Maldonado + James Turnbull + Jordan Taylor + Fred Mwangaguhunga + Peter Boyce Abran Maldonado is the founder of NuSkool, a platform that turns pop culture into learning resources. He is a Gates scholar, PhD candidate and a thought leader in the areas of student engagement, culturally relevant learning and diversity in tech. James Turnbull is the author of seven technical books and is a long-time member of the open source community. For a real job, James is CTO at Kickstarter and an advisor at Docker. He likes food, wine, books, photography, and cats. He is not overly keen on long walks on the beach and holding hands. Jordan Taylor is currently founding a company in the health and wellness space. She recently left Mic, a digital news company, where she helped grow the team from 25 to 125. Fred Mwangaguhunga is the founder and CEO of MediaTakeOut.com, the most visited urban website in the world. Fred is a New York native, who attended public school. Jukay Hsu is the founder of C4Q, a non-profit that is building an inclusive tech community in NYC. C4Q’s Access Code program teaches adults in poverty and from underserved communities to code and gain jobs in tech. He is a veteran and former U.S. Army captain. After graduating from Harvard College, Jukay served as a U.S. Army officer where he commanded a rifle platoon in Iraq.
