What's Happening at CCR

This program honoring the legacy of civil rights hero Ella Baker gives students practical litigation experience while sharpening their theoretical understanding of the relationship between social change, organizing and lawyering. Apply for 2017 now!
Our dedication to human rights and social justice struggles has led CCR to complement our legal work with robust advocacy and communications work, and a conscious effort to support grassroots organizations that work with directly-impacted communities.
The demand for human rights and social justice lawyering will not, alas, retreat any time soon, and so CCR is dedicated to helping ensure that there is an ample supply of well-trained movement lawyers in future generations.
At CCR, we’ve developed a distinctive set of tools and strategies that mine the fine veins of constitutional principles that are justice-enabling, use litigation strategically to move actors outside the courtroom, and leverage the interplay between U.S. and international law.
Applications are now open for Summer 2017 Ella Baker Internships. If you are a 2L, you must upload your application by October 16, 2016. 1L applicants must upload their applications by December 16, 2016.
