David (/ˈdeɪvɪd/; Hebrew: דָּוִד, Modern David, Tiberian Dāwîḏ;ISO 259-3 Dawid; Arabic: داوُد Dāwūd; Syriac: ܕܘܝܕ Dawid; Ancient Greek: Δαυίδ; Latin: Davidus, David; Strong's: Daveed) was, according to the Books of Samuel, the second king of the United Kingdom of Israel, and according to the New Testament, an ancestor of Jesus. His life is conventionally dated to c. 1040 – 970 BCE, his reign over Judah c. 1010–970 BCE.
The Books of Samuel, 1 Kings, and 1 Chronicles are the only Old Testament sources of information on David, although the Tel Dan Stele (dated c. 850–835 BCE) contains the phrase בית דוד (bytdwd), read as "House of David", which many scholars confirm to be a likely plausible match to the existence in the mid-9th century BCE of a Judean royal dynasty called the House of David.
Depicted as a valorous warrior of great renown, and a poet and musician credited for composing much of the psalms contained in the Book of Psalms, King David is widely viewed as a righteous and effective king in battle and civil justice. He is described as a man after God's own heart in 1 Samuel 13:14 and Acts 13:22.

David Heavener
David Heavener (born December 22, 1958) is an American singer, songwriter, director, actor, composer, producer and writer.
Early life
David was born on December 22, 1958 in Louisville, Kentucky. At the age of 17, he moved to Nashville to pursue his career as a country music singer and songwriter. Within a few years, David had written two top-ten hits and was writing music for hit shows such as Hee-Haw and The Tonight Show.
Career
Within five years, with no film production education and little money, David had written, directed, produced and starred in a half-dozen films. That number now exceeds thirty films and rising. As a distributor, he has released hundreds of titles worldwide.
David has directed Academy Award winner Martin Landau and nominees Tony Curtis, Sally Kirkland and Karen Black. Other actors who have worked with David include Eric Estrada, Joe Estevez, Robert Reed, Marc Singer, Margot Kidder, Oliver Reed, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and Ernest Borgnine.
Many of his movies have aired on HBO, Showtime, USA and network television. As an actor, he has also guest-starred on such TV series as Hunter and Days Of Our Lives. He has been featured on Entertainment Tonight and in Backstage West.

This month's service and message by Min. David Heavener was particularly special not only because it marked exactly one year, since February 2015, that ATL HPN and Revelations Studios has combined in partnership to serve the Arts/Film community in Atlanta/GA! ...But also because he truly delivered a Rhema Word! Here is a brief summary of the message that deeply Blessed all of our hearts.
Entitled, "Your Life is a Movie", Min. David drew a diagram on the board that was the ultimate analogy of how our lives follow the flow chain of how a movie is made.
WE--our lives-- are the movie. And guess who the Executive Producer is? GOD.
GOD - Executive Producer: A movie can not be made without an Exec Prod. The EP makes it possible through providing the resources needed, to make a film. Min. David talked about how God knew us before we were formed in our mothers' wombs and established a Purpose for each of our lives from the very beginning (John 15:27). The EP/GOD knows the end from the beginning.
MAN - Characters/Actors: The characters in a movie all have a purpose in telling and conveying the overall theme and story of the movie. Every character has an arc. Min. David said that as characters it is not our job to understand what is happening. Our job is to be present and available...obedient. Obedience is Better than sacrifice (1 Sam 15:22). We are part of His story. A very important part!
HOLY SPIRIT - Director: The Director is the guide. The Director has an expectation and will give the character/actor an opportunity to "hit your mark" when it is missed. However, what do you think happens if the Actor keeps missing the mark? The "role" is given to another Actor. Min. David then unpacked John 15:26
26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: (KJV)
He talked about how the Holy Spirit is the Director, giving us the direction(s) from God. It is up to us, though, to "hit the mark" -for the prize of the High Calling in Christ Jesus (Phil 3:14)! If we continually miss our mark, Min. David said The Lord can and often will choose someone else to do what we were supposed to do.
BIBLE/SCRIPTURE - The Script: The script is written by the scriptwriter. It is a written account of everything that is supposed to happen in the film. It is where the entire story is found. The script is the "bible" that is followed to make the movie as it is intended. The goal is, if followed, that the entire movie will hit the mark. --The Bible contains the Scripture/God-Breathed Word of God which leads to TRUTH. If followed, you will Hit the mark!
TRUTH -Min. David referenced John 16:13 3 But when He, the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth[full and complete truth]. For He will not speak on His own initiative, but He will speak whatever He hears [from the Father—the message regarding the Son], and He will disclose to you what is to come [in the future]. (The Amplified Bible)
Jesus Christ is the TRUTH: John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me. (KJV)
The World/The LIE -- The opposite and opposition to Truth is the LIE of the enemy. When we do NOT follow Scripture and choose instead to go after the WORLD, SIN enters and we fall short of the Mark of the High Calling in Christ Jesus. Christ has redeemed us and we know that if we fall short of the mark, if we repent of our sins the Lord forgives us our sins and we can start a whole new movie in Him.
In applying this message to our Daily Walk in the Lord, Min. David asked us the question: "Are you in the exact role you were cast in or are you playing somebody else's part?"
