This is a study I performed to test the effects of alcohol intoxication on juggling ability. I drank 12 oz bottles of Miller Lite and after each beer I used a breathalyzer to measure my BAC and made 10 attempts to juggle five balls for as long as possible. The results are given in the video, but as noted at the very end, the only statistically significant result was that I can juggle better at 0.06 BAC than at 0.13 BAC. Stay tuned for a follow-up study which will hopefully be more definitive.

Today we talk about alcoholism or what the DSM 5 calls it now "alcohol use disorder." There are many alcohol related disorders in the DSM: alcohol use disorder, alcohol intoxication, alcohol withdrawal, other alcohol induced disorders & unspecified alcohol related disorder. The last two disorders are sort of catch all types of disorders if you don't quite meet the criteria for one of the others listed. Now that you know the landscape of alcohol disorders, let's get into alcohol use disorder:
There are 11 criteria (or symptoms) that the DSM discusses, and in order to be diagnosed with this, you must have at least 2 of them. These symptoms or criteria must have occurred within the last 12 months.
1. Alcohol is often taken in larger amount or over a longer period than was intended.
2. There is a persistent desire to or unsuccessful effort to cut down on alcohol consumption or control it's use.
3. We spend a lot of time in activities necessary to obtain alcohol.
4. Craving or intense urge to use alcohol.
5. Recurrent alcohol use resulting in a failure to fulfill major role obligations at work, school or home.
6. Continued alcohol use despite having persistent or recurrent social or interpersonal problems, caused or exacerbated by the effects of alcohol.
7. Important social, occupational, or recreational activities are given up or reduced due to alcohol use.
8. Recurrent alcohol use in situations in which it is physically hazardous.
9. Alcohol use is continued despite knowledge of having a persistent or recurrent physical or psychological problem that is likely to have been caused or exacerbated by alcohol use.
10. Tolerance: when it takes more alcohol than it used to in order to get the same effect.
11. Withdrawal: please be careful with this! It can be life threatening to quit cold turkey without the supervision of a doctor. So please reach out for help prior to just stopping on your own.
Treatment options: We could start by going to a detox house in order safely stop drinking. Then we can step down into a hospital program or inpatient treatment center. I say those separately because inpatient treatment centers can be in homes and much more warm and therapeutic than hospital programs. After that we can move out into a recovery home or halfway house and do day treatment (this allows us to slowly transition back to into life and they believe it lowers relapse rates). Then we can step down into outpatient therapy and group therapy. This could be seeing someone like me and going to AA or another group therapy available.
If you are not the one suffering from this, but are close to someone who is, Al-Anon is a great resource as well. We may not realize it, but by living with someone who is an alcoholic, we have our own struggles and issues we need to work on. Al-Anon is a great place to do that. They even have Alateen for those who are younger.

Alcohol intoxication
Alcohol intoxication (also known as drunkenness or inebriation) is a physiological state (that may also include psychological alterations of consciousness) induced by the ingestion of ethanol (alcohol).
Alcohol intoxication is the result of alcohol entering the bloodstream faster than it can be metabolized by the liver, which breaks down the ethanol into non-intoxicating byproducts. Some effects of alcohol intoxication (such as euphoria and lowered social inhibitions) are central to alcohol's desirability as a beverage and its history as one of the world's most widespread recreational drugs. Despite this widespread use and alcohol's legality in most countries, many medical sources tend to describe any level of alcohol intoxication as a form of poisoning due to ethanol's damaging effects on the body in large doses; some religions consider alcohol intoxication to be a sin while others utilize it in sacrament.
Symptoms of alcohol intoxication include euphoria, flushed skin and decreased social inhibition at lower doses, with larger doses producing progressively severe impairments of balance, muscle coordination (ataxia), and decision-making ability (potentially leading to violent or erratic behavior) as well as nausea or vomiting from alcohol's disruptive effect on the semicircular canals of the inner ear and chemical irritation of the gastric mucosa. Sufficiently high levels of blood-borne alcohol will cause coma and death from the depressive effects of alcohol upon the central nervous system.

Today we talk about alcoholism or what the DSM 5 calls it now "alcohol use disorder." There are many alcohol related disorders in the DSM: alcohol use disorder, alcohol intoxication, alcohol withdrawal, other alcohol induced disorders & unspecified alcohol related disorder. The last two disorders are sort of catch all types of disorders if you don't quite meet the criteria for one of the others listed. Now that you know the landscape of alcohol disorders, let's get into alcohol use disorder:
There are 11 criteria (or symptoms) that the DSM discusses, and in order to be diagnosed with this, you must have at least 2 of them. These symptoms or criteria must have occurred within the last 12 months.
1. Alcohol is often taken in larger amount or over a longer period than was intended.
2. There is a persistent desire to or unsuccessful effort to cut down on alcohol consumption or control it's use.
3. We spend a lot of time in activities necessary to obtain alcohol.
4. Craving or intense urge to use alcohol.
5. Recurrent alcohol use resulting in a failure to fulfill major role obligations at work, school or home.
6. Continued alcohol use despite having persistent or recurrent social or interpersonal problems, caused or exacerbated by the effects of alcohol.
7. Important social, occupational, or recreational activities are given up or reduced due to alcohol use.
8. Recurrent alcohol use in situations in which it is physically hazardous.
9. Alcohol use is continued despite knowledge of having a persistent or recurrent physical or psychological problem that is likely to have been caused or exacerbated by alcohol use.
10. Tolerance: when it takes more alcohol than it used to in order to get the same effect.
11. Withdrawal: please be careful with this! It can be life threatening to quit cold turkey without the supervision of a doctor. So please reach out for help prior to just stopping on your own.
Treatment options: We could start by going to a detox house in order safely stop drinking. Then we can step down into a hospital program or inpatient treatment center. I say those separately because inpatient treatment centers can be in homes and much more warm and therapeutic than hospital programs. After that we can move out into a recovery home or halfway house and do day treatment (this allows us to slowly transition back to into life and they believe it lowers relapse rates). Then we can step down into outpatient therapy and group therapy. This could be seeing someone like me and going to AA or another group therapy available.
If you are not the one suffering from this, but are close to someone who is, Al-Anon is a great resource as well. We may not realize it, but by living with someone who is an alcoholic, we have our own struggles and issues we need to work on. Al-Anon is a great place to do that. They even have Alateen for those who are younger.

It is obvious that some creatures in this world are very weird looking, creepy and quite mysterious. Believe it or not, there are creatures out there that still needs an explanation as to where it has come from, and within this countdown, we are showing the strangest and realest looking ones caught on tape that many believe to be real. So buckle up, and remember, Im here with you, no need to be scared, Ajem.. With this being said, here are 5 Unknown Creatures Caught On Camera & Spotted In Real Life! Lets...Begin!
1. Encounter in the Graveyard
The video your about to see was recorded in one of the years before 2007 which gained quite a massive popularity during its time on YouTube, lets say it was the fist ever viral video of the unknown. The video shows a man wondering around a graveyard late at night filiming his way to see if he were to see something paranormal roaming around, and in fact he did. Like I said, Im here with you.. so no need to be scared. Ready? Well.... here.... is the footage.
2. The Crying Ghost
This might possibly might be one of the few times you wont feel bad about seeing someone cry. And I say possibly because that someone could be a paranormal looking creature in one of the corners of your house, just like in the footage about to be shown. People think that the humanoid looking creature shown in this video is a ghost but what do you think? Here it is....
3. Small Unknown Creature
In the video your about to see, 2 young kids appear to be playing with a video camera and kicking a soccer ball when all of a sudden, something very small and weird looking runs across one of the rooms in the house where the kids were playing at. People believe that the mysterious looking creautre shown in this video is the so called famous Goblin, also known as the small annoying creeper. But not everyone is 100% sure as to what it is exactly. So you be the judge on this one, here...is the footage.
4. The Hampton Court Sighting
The video your about to see was recorded in the Hampton Court Palace which is one of the British royal palaces located in Richmond upon Thames, London. Inside the CCTV security camera, a ghostly cloaked figure can be seen opening and closing one of the doors of the Palace Graveyard again and again.. Further analysis of the footage shows the ghostly looking figure with a skeletal face which was given the nickname "Skeletor". And if you didnt know, the Hampton Court Palace happens to be one of the most haunted places in the UK... Anyways, enough with the talk right? Here...is the footage.
5. The Unidentified Creature
In the footage about to be shown, a guy is seen walking in the Weld Valley located in Australia in a peaceful afternoon. After recording all day to capture his first visit into the Weld Valley, the anonymous person recording gets home and is completely shocked after he sees what he has accidently caught on camera. By the looks of it, the strange looking creature about to be shown looks like an alien but it is still unidentified as of today. So YOU be the judge...Here....is the video.
