Her father went into severe depression and wasn't there for them. The girls were pretty much on their own. Until their aunt Emilia found out what was going on and she would take care of the girls. It was Emilia that brought their father back from his depression, and everything was fine. Until their father found Anna and that's when everything went a downward spiral. Anna was dating someone and was pregnant with this mans child. After learning this the girl's father (stefan) wanting nothing to do with Anna and forbid her from seeing the girl’s. But Anna would find a way to stay in contact with the girls. Mayu Mio’s twin sister was confused and very hurt by her mother whereas Mio clung to her. She refused to see any fault in her mother and found any chance she could to talk to Anna. But one day Anna died in a fire along with the baby, or so Mio was told. After doing some snooping in Anna’s boyfriends house. She found a secret room where Anna was held and killed. Once Mio found out her mother was murdered, Mio took a rock and smacked the man in the back of the head. This cause him to fall into his pool and drown. After news of this went out the police were looking for the man’s murder. Mio kept quiet until one night she found out they arrested Emilia. The guilt was too much for Mio to handle so she turned herself in. She spent all her teenaged life in prison. When she was released Mio immediately changed her appearance. She was sick of being the girl that killed someone. She didn’t like people would see her and know who she was. During these events Mio had a boyfriend named Ashe. They met before her mother was murdered and were very much in love. Ashe stuck by Mio while she was in Jail and because of him she was able to handle being there. They ended up having a child together and now they are married. So far life has been okay for Mio..But for how long? [~ Mayu’s Story ~] (Read Mio’s story to learn about Mayu’s childhood life) While Mio was in Jail Mayu did all she could to help her father through this hard time. But she felt helpless and alone. Until she met someone (I forgot his name for now I will call him James) she immediately fell in love with him. Little did she know he was the son of the family that was keeping her unknown younger brother hostage. When Mio came back home Mayu moved in with her boyfriend. James was very abusive and forbid her from seeing her family. James knew who her mother was. One day while Mayu was alone in his parents house she began to explore and she found a secret room. That was when she realized she had a brother and he was being held prisoner. She ran home not knowing what to do, But once James came home she confronted him and he threw her out. But before she was out the door and managed to leave her with one more threat “You come searching for him then I will kill you.” [~ Carver’s Story ~] All Carver knows of the world is the room is was kept in. When he became an adult he attacked the teenaged daughter of the family. While she was coming in to bring him his dinner he quickly knocked her out and escaped. He knows this family is searching for him. He has no clue as to why they want him but what he does know is he must never be found.
