Perjalanannya ribuan tahun sebelum Hobbit berjalan di Flores mungkin akan membawa kita pada saat asal manusia kecil. Homo erectus bisa melakukan penyeberangan laut ke Flores, mungkin ia memegang peranan penting pada evolusi Hobbits”. Bert Robert said, “It’s a completely new species of human, the Hobbits.
