Sauti Sol

Sauti Sol is a Kenyan afro-pop band formed in Nairobi by vocalists Bien-Aimé Baraza, Willis Chimano and Savara Mudigi in 2005. Initially an a capella group, guitarist Polycarp Otieno joined before they named themselves Sauti.

Sauti Sol released their debut studio album Mwanzo on 1 November 2008, to critical acclaim. Their second studio album, Sol Filosofia, was released on 25 February 2011, earning the group a number of accolades and nominations in the process. On 18 June 2012, the band released a self-titled extended play in collaboration with South African rapper and record producer Spoek Mathambo. Their third studio album, titled Live and Die in Afrika, released online on the 21 November 2015, was available to Sauti Sol fans globally for free download for 48 hours as an early Christmas present. The album was released under their imprint label Sauti Sol Entertainment as a self-produced work by Sauti Sol. A total of 400,000 downloads were made during the free download period.

The band has had successful tours in Africa and Europe, topped Kenyan charts and gained international attention with shows in Europe and the US, as well as television appearances and various accolades and nominations, including their 2011 concert performance in Kenya with South African a capella group Ladysmith Black Mambazo. The band has also received both local and international accolades and nominations like; Kisima Music Awards,Channel O Music Video Awards,MTV Europe Music Award for Best African Act and BET Awards 2015.

Calvin Harris

Adam Richard Wiles (born 17 January 1984), better known by his stage name Calvin Harris, is a Scottish DJ, singer, songwriter, record producer, recording artist and remixer. His debut album, I Created Disco, was released in 2007 and was the precursor to his top-10 singles "Acceptable in the 80s" and "The Girls". In 2009, Harris released his second studio album, Ready for the Weekend, which debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and earned a gold certification from the British Phonographic Industry within two months of release. Its lead single, "I'm Not Alone", became his first number one on the UK Singles Chart.

Harris rose to international prominence in 2012 with the release of his third studio album, 18 Months. Topping the UK charts, the album became his first to chart on the Billboard 200 in the US, reaching number 19. All eight of the album's singles; "Bounce", "Let's Go", "We'll Be Coming Back", "Sweet Nothing", "Drinking from the Bottle", "I Need Your Love", "Thinking About You" and "Feel So Close", along with "We Found Love" reached the top 10 of the UK Singles Chart.

Burna Boy

Damini Ogulu (born 2 July 1991), better known by his stage name Burna Boy, is a Nigerian reggae-dancehall singer and songwriter.

Life and music career

Burna Boy was born on 2 July 1991 to Mr. and Mrs. Ogulu. He grew up in Ahoada, Rivers State, and later relocated to Lagos State. He attended Montessori International School, and later attended Corona, Agbara for his secondary school in Lagos. In a 2013 interview with the net, Burna Boy said that he was looking at launching his own company at the start of 2014.

On 31 May 2012, Burna Boy released a single titled "Like To Party" which saw his rise to prominence. On 5 September 2012, the video for "Like to Party" was released. The music video, which was shot by Squareball Media services, ran for 4 minutes and 9 seconds.

On 24 September 2012, Burna Boy released a single titled "Tonight" On 31 December 2012, he released the video for the song. In the music video, Burna Boy expresses his innate feelings.

Feel So Close

"Feel So Close" is a song by Scottish recording artist Calvin Harris, released as the second single from his third studio album, 18 Months (2012). Harris returns to singing on this song, after previously stating he had quit singing in concerts. The song debuted at number two on the UK Singles Chart, becoming Harris's sixth solo top ten single. It also marked his second single to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States—his first being Rihanna's "We Found Love", on which he is featured. The song had sold over 2.17 million copies in the US by the end of 2012.

Critical reception

Robert Copsey of Digital Spy gave the song four out of five stars writing, "'I feel so close to you right now/ It's a force field', he sing-speaks in a clumsy but infatuated manner over melancholic piano chords, before a breezy, lyric-less chorus of squawking electronic sirens and crazy synths bound around like a bucking bronco at a Texas rodeo rave. The result is a wistful yet exhilarating club thumper—and as for those vocals, well, if you want something done right..."
