"Courage (for Hugh MacLennan)" is a song by The Tragically Hip, released as the third single from their 1992 album Fully Completely. The song's bracketed title references the late author Hugh MacLennan, particularly his 1959 novel The Watch That Ends the Night which is paraphrased in the song's lyrics.
The song was very successful, reaching #10 on Canada's RPM Singles Chart, and also charting well in the United States and the Netherlands. The song was also nominated for "Single of the Year" at the 1994 Juno Awards.
In 1997, the song was covered by Sarah Polley for use in the film The Sweet Hereafter. The cover version was also used in the television series Charmed. Singer-songwriter Justin Rutledge also covered the song for his 2014 album Daredevil, an album consisting entirely of Tragically Hip covers.
Courage is an EP released in 1993 by New Zealand band The Bats.
Courage was a German feminist newspaper published monthly from 1976 to 1984.
Courage was founded in 1976 by a group of ten Berlin women from the Kreuzberg Women's Centre who wished to create an autonomous leftist-feminist newspaper. Although they had little prior journalistic training and no start-up capital, their aim was to encourage other women to advocate for increasing power and political responsibility. The title was inspired by the central character of Bertolt Brecht's 1939 play Mother Courage and Her Children, whom the editors saw as a "self-directed woman ... not a starry-eyed idealist but neither is she satisfied with the status quo". To raise funds for the printing of the first issue, the editors held a women's festival in Berlin. For the first year of publication, the staff of Courage worked as volunteers but by 1978 the newspaper's sales were high enough that they were able to earn a reasonable wage for their work.
Courage published articles about a number of taboo topics, and aimed to represent a diverse variety of opinions from within the feminist movement. Some of the issues addressed by Courage's writers included abortion, forced prostitution, women's sexuality, systematic exclusion of women in male-dominated fields, sexual violence, child abuse, women in the military, menstruation, and female genital mutilation. The newspaper's circulation began at 5,000 and had increased to 20,000 by the third issue; it peaked in the late 1970s with a readership of over 70,000.

Track 1 from their third album “Fully Completely” released in 1992 copyright MCA Records. This is my favourite Hip album, and I consider it their best, both for the great songs and great production. It was recorded in London and produced by Chris Tsangarides, one of MCA’s preferred producers. The hope was that this album would break the band in the U.S. market, but it was not to be. After only two weeks of promotion for the U.S. release, MCA ceased their efforts, which I find unbelievable! The album achieved Platinum status in Canada almost immediately and in 2017 achieved Diamond status for sales of over one million copies. The album contained six songs that were released as singles, including this one. Written by The Tragically Hip and produced by Chris Tsangarides. RIP Gord Downie. Feat...

When I woke up to see the news that Gord Downie had passed, it hit me like a bag of bricks. We all knew it was coming, but I don't think anybody was quite ready for it. Downie was a living soundtrack, an ode to Canadianism. His music holds a special place in my heart, and deeply affected my upbringing. I made this video as a way to remember him. "Stare in the morning shroud and then the day began I tilted your cloud, you tilted my hand Rain falls in real time and rain fell through the night No dress rehearsal, this is our life."
