Ok, so this is the story from one of my prevoius videos, but way bigger and better. Christian Bale is one of my favourite actors since forever, so this is kinda fanmade tribute for him and his epic acting career. Obviously I focused on his biggest body transformation from skinny to fatman to batman :) but there is more here, video is loaded with movie scenes, humor, interviews and behind the scenes. It’s rare when a movie entertains and also informs, but that’s what director Adam McKay has managed to accomplish with The Big Short. One of my favorite films of the year, The Big Short is based on the best-selling nonfiction book from Moneyball and The Blindside author Michael Lewis, and investigates the housing and credit bubble of the 2000s. The story is told through four economic “outsiders”, played by Christian Bale, Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, and Brad Pitt, who predicted the cataclysmic consequences of the major housing and bank fraud and used their inside knowledge to turn a profit of their own.
While we all know about the 2008 sub-prime mortgage crisis that led to the collapse of the world economy, most people wouldn’t be able to explain how and why it happened. That’s because the banking world is complicated and incestuous, where the powerful few control the majority and outsiders are left holding the bag when things go wrong.
And this is why I strongly suggest seeing The Big Short. Not only is it a great movie, it’s a searing indictment of the entire financial system. McKay deftly maneuvers the dense material with ease and his bits of levity were perfectly handled. Everyone should see this movie if only because we all need to be aware of what the banking system got away with; otherwise, we’re bound to repeat the same mistakes again.
At the recent Los Angeles press day, I landed an exclusive video interview with Christian Bale. He talked about memorable moments from filming and played “Save or Kill.” If you haven’t seen the game before, “Save or Kill” reveals which franchises, characters or bands someone would choose when pitted against another of equal value. Han Solo or Indiana Jones – if you were told you could only save one and the other would be erased from existence forever, who would you pick?

Christian Charles Philip Bale (born 30 January 1974) is an English actor. He has starred in both blockbuster films and smaller projects from independent producers and art houses.
Bale first caught the public eye at the age of 13, when he was cast in the starring role of Steven Spielberg's Empire of the Sun (1987). Based on the original story by J. G. Ballard, Bale played an English boy who is separated from his parents and subsequently finds himself lost in a Japanese internment camp during World War II. In 2000, he garnered critical acclaim for his portrayal of serial killer Patrick Bateman in American Psycho. He is known for going to great lengths to portray characters in films, notably for the psychological thriller The Machinist (2004), where he lost 63 pounds (28.5 kg) to play the role of Trevor Reznik.
Bale went on to receive greater commercial recognition and acclaim for his performance as Bruce Wayne/Batman in Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins (2005), The Dark Knight (2008) and The Dark Knight Rises (2012). His portrayal of Dicky Eklund in the David O. It’s rare when a movie entertains and also informs, but that’s what director Adam McKay has managed to accomplish with The Big Short. One of my favorite films of the year, The Big Short is based on the best-selling nonfiction book from Moneyball and The Blindside author Michael Lewis, and investigates the housing and credit bubble of the 2000s. The story is told through four economic “outsiders”, played by Christian Bale, Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, and Brad Pitt, who predicted the cataclysmic consequences of the major housing and bank fraud and used their inside knowledge to turn a profit of their own. While we all know about the 2008 sub-prime mortgage crisis that led to the collapse of the world economy, most people wouldn’t be able to explain how and why it happened. That’s because the banking world is complicated and incestuous, where the powerful few control the majority and outsiders are left holding the bag when things go wrong. And this is why I strongly suggest seeing The Big Short. Not only is it a great movie, it’s a searing indictment of the entire financial system. McKay deftly maneuvers the dense material with ease and his bits of levity were perfectly handled. Everyone should see this movie if only because we all need to be aware of what the banking system got away with; otherwise, we’re bound to repeat the same mistakes again. At the recent Los Angeles press day, I landed an exclusive video interview with Christian Bale. He talked about memorable moments from filming and played “Save or Kill.” If you haven’t seen the game before, “Save or Kill” reveals which franchises, characters or bands someone would choose when pitted against another of equal value. It’s rare when a movie entertains and also informs, but that’s what director Adam McKay has managed to accomplish with The Big Short. One of my favorite films of the year, The Big Short is based on the best-selling nonfiction book from Moneyball and The Blindside author Michael Lewis, and investigates the housing and credit bubble of the 2000s. The story is told through four economic “outsiders”, played by Christian Bale, Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, and Brad Pitt, who predicted the cataclysmic consequences of the major housing and bank fraud and used their inside knowledge to turn a profit of their own.
While we all know about the 2008 sub-prime mortgage crisis that led to the collapse of the world economy, most people wouldn’t be able to explain how and why it happened. That’s because the banking world is complicated and incestuous, where the powerful few control the majority and outsiders are left holding the bag when things go wrong.
And this is why I strongly suggest seeing The Big Short. Not only is it a great movie, it’s a searing indictment of the entire financial system. McKay deftly maneuvers the dense material with ease and his bits of levity were perfectly handled. Everyone should see this movie if only because we all need to be aware of what the banking system got away with; otherwise, we’re bound to repeat the same mistakes again.
At the recent Los Angeles press day, I landed an exclusive video interview with Christian Bale. He talked about memorable moments from filming and played “Save or Kill.” If you haven’t seen the game before, “Save or Kill” reveals which franchises, characters or bands someone would choose when pitted against another of equal value. Han Solo or Indiana Jones – if you were told you could only save one and the other would be erased from existence forever, who would you pick?
