The world premiere of Jamala’s official video for 1944 is released. This is the international release of the world class singers Eurovision 2016 winning song.
The Director and Choreographer of the video is the renowned Anatoliy Sachivko, with cameras by Nikita Kuzmenko. This is the same team that created the Jamala’s video Confused. The video was short in Bukovina Carpathians, Chernivtsy region, within three days. The location for the video, an abandoned military base “Pamir” was the location, on the top of Tomnatik mountain, 1565m above the sea level.

This educational documentary video covers the Normandy landings on June 6, 1944. More than 160,000 Allied troops landed along a 50-mile stretch of heavily-fortified structured French settlement coastline, to fight Germany on the beaches of Normandy, France where Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower called the operation a crusade in which, “we will accept nothing less than full victory.” More than 5,000 Ships and 13,000 aircraft supported this effort, and by day’s end, the Allies gained a foot-hold in Continental Europe. The cost in lives was high. More than 9,000 Allied Soldiers were lost, but their sacrifice allowed more than 100,000 Soldiers to begin the slow, hard slog across Europe, to defeat Germany.

Právě rumunské jednotky Hitler obviňoval za debakl u Stalingradu, kde se v obrovském kotli ocitlo v beznadějné situaci na sto tisíc německých vojáků. První vlnu amerických vojáků na pláži Omaha Němci zmasakrovali. Po ní nastoupila druhá. Mnoho vojáků bylo v akci vůbec poprvé. Byli hrůzou bez sebe, utrpěli nervový šok nebo bojový stres. Ona ta legenda o velké generaci, podle které se každý chlap na pláži Omaha choval jako hrdina, není samozřejmě pravda. Byli tam neuvěřitelně odvážní vojáci, ale i takoví, co se hrůzou nemohli ani hnout. Nemůžeme jim to mít za zlé, každý reaguje v konkrétní chvíli jinak. Byli tam však i takoví, co skutečně překonali strach, skuteční hrdinové. Klikněte pro větší obrázek Amerických vojáků se vyloďovalo stále víc, i když pláž byla dál pod německou palbou. Takže palbu neopětovali, jen se kryli, kde mohli, a ve skutečnosti vůbec nebojovali. A také viděli, že většina tanků byla vyřazena z provozu. Mnoho výsadkových člunů uvízlo u břehu, vybuchlo, nebo na ně Němci stále stříleli. Všude kolem zničená technika, mrtvoly a ranění.

Mnoho výsadkových člunů uvízlo u břehu, vybuchlo, nebo na ně Němci stále stříleli. Všude kolem zničená technika, mrtvoly a ranění.
