Spain (i/ˈspeɪn/; Spanish: España [esˈpaɲa]), officially the Kingdom of Spain (Spanish: Reino de España), is a sovereign state largely located on the Iberian Peninsula in southwestern Europe, with archipelagos in the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea, and several small territories on and near the north African coast. Its mainland is bordered to the south and east by the Mediterranean Sea except for a small land boundary with Gibraltar; to the north and northeast by France, Andorra, and the Bay of Biscay; and to the west and northwest by Portugal and the Atlantic Ocean. Along with France and Morocco, it is one of only three countries to have both Atlantic and Mediterranean coastlines. Extending to 1,214 km (754 mi), the Portugal–Spain border is the longest uninterrupted border within the European Union.
Spanish territory includes two archipelagos: the Balearic Islands, in the Mediterranean Sea, and the Canary Islands, in the Atlantic Ocean off the African coast. It also includes two major exclaves, Ceuta and Melilla, in continental North Africa; and the islands and peñones (rocks) of Alborán, Alhucemas, Chafarinas and Vélez de la Gomera. With an area of 505,990 km2 (195,360 sq mi), Spain is the second largest country in Western Europe and the European Union, and the fourth largest country in Europe. By population, Spain is the sixth largest in Europe and the fifth in the European Union.

Yet, as economic, social, and political changes sweep the nation, Spaniards continue to cherish the traditions that are uniquely theirs.

ITALY-SPAIN 1-1: The returning Daniele De Rossi spared the blushes of Gianluigi Buffon with a late equaliser from the penalty spot to earn ITALY a 1-1 draw against Spain in their 2018 World Cup qualifying Group G encounter at Juventus Stadium. Italy looked to be heading for their second defeat in three matches under Giampiero Ventura when Buffon rushed out of his area and failed to tackle Vitolo, who finally made the most of Spain's dominance by slotting into the empty net. Travel video about destination Espana. We begin our journey in the Spanish province of Galicia. The Romans conquered San Diago de Compostela, a harbour city that has always been associated with the sea and since the Middle Ages it was, apart from Jerusalem and Rome, the most important pilgrimage destination in Christendom. Some centuries ago each of the large villages of the Rias Baixas prospered due to fishing as did Pontevedra whose old town has been well-preserved with cobbled streets, intimate squares and the residential palaces of the city`s former elite. Vigo is reminiscent of Liverpool in the United Kingdom and is the largest city in Galicia. In 1529 the city began to trade with South America and this brought with it a new wave of prosperity. Then followed the Industrial Revolution w...

Italy 1 Spain 1: Points shared in fiery World Cup Qualifying clash in Turin as Diego Costa clashes with Chelsea target Leonardo Bonucci Vitolo gave Spain the lead in the second half, but the game was levelled from the penalty spot as Daniele de Rossi converted IT looked like a no Conte-st till Spain threw it all away. Triumph turned into a fiasco as Danielle De Rossi marked his 100th cap for the Azzurri with a priceless leveller from the spot. Vitolo’s opener after Gigi Buffon’s howler seemed to have given sizzling Spain a deserved win in Turin. But Sergio Ramos stupidly brought down Eder in the box. And De Rossi converted. This was so one-sided for 80 minutes it was embarrassing for the four-time World Champions under veteran coach Giempiero Ventura. https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/...

It’s you and i, feeling good,
Watching the sky turn to sunrise pink.
The stars are fading, saying good night,
Throwing us a big fat wink.
It’s you and i, feeling good,
This morning we’re up so early and bright.
The clouds are smiling, saying good night,
We know it’s gonna be right.
What are we doing, you and i?
Are we waiting for the pie to fall from the sky?
Maybe we should take five and go for a ride,
See what the world is up to, you and i?
I know you’re still thinking of that empty room behind,
One day we’ll air it and fill it with sunshine.
Now you know it’s just you and i
And that’s no reason to cry.
So hope, skip and run, let’s have some fun,
You and i, (you and I) you and i. (you and I)
You just turned nine, and we’re both fine,
You and, you and i.
(you and i, you and i, you and I)
(you and i, you and i, you and I)
(you and i, you and i, you and I)
(you and i, you and i, you and I)
(you and i, you and i, you and I)
