The Spider, looks like it may be another ride who's soul purpose is to dizzy up the riders, but in reality it is much better than that. Four riders sit in the coaster, riders facing opposite directions. The coaster moves up the initial incline with the coaster locked into position. Once the coaster gets up the incline, the coaster unlocks from the base and moves horizontally based on the momentum the track and riders can create. The ride is very smooth and a lot of fun. We rode the coaster with a four year old, and it was her favorite ride of the day.
Tip: The very last straight re-aligns/ locks the coaster, prepare for some hard impact.
Minimum ride height is 46 inches.
Additional Information: Unlike most amusement parks, Lagoon is not a very guest friendly park. Try not to take bags or cameras onto the rides as the staff do not allow them in most cases. You will be asked to use lockers or other storage areas and leave your party in order to deposit these items. The overall staffing of the park would benefit greatly from some customer service training.

Standing 208 feet tall, with a 116° drop off the elevator lift and reaching speeds up to 70 mph, this new-for-2015 custom steel looping coaster features an Immelmann, a dive loop, an over-banked curve and two back-to-back heartline rolls in opposing directions that the park calls the Lagoon Roll.
This video varies slightly from what riders experience in that the lights were turned on in the tower in order to show when the car begins its accent on the elevator, although the tilting still occurs in the dark.

We spent the day at Utah's only amusement park called Lagoon. It's definitely one of the hotspots here in Utah and one of my families favorite places to go.
Of course the day was spent catering to the kids, but there are plenty of rides and stuff to do for the adults.
They even have a water park! We have actually never been to it because we usually only go up for the day and just doesn't seem like enough time to fit it in. But it looks awesome from the outside.

Lagoon
A lagoon is a shallow body of water separated from a larger body of water by barrier islands or reefs. Lagoons are commonly divided into coastal lagoons and atoll lagoons. They have also been identified as occurring on mixed-sand and gravel coastlines. There is an overlap between bodies of water classified as coastal lagoons and bodies of water classified as estuaries. Lagoons are common coastal features around the world.
Definition
Lagoons are shallow, often elongated bodies of water separated from a larger body of water by a shallow or exposed shoal, coral reef, or similar feature. Some authorities (such as Nybakken) include fresh water bodies in the definition of "lagoon", while others explicitly restrict "lagoon" to bodies of water with some degree of salinity. The distinction between "lagoon" and "estuary" also varies between authorities. Richard A. Davis Jr. restricts "lagoon" to bodies of water with little or no fresh water inflow, and little or no tidal flow, and calls any bay that receives a regular flow of fresh water an "estuary". Davis does state that the terms "lagoon" and "estuary" are "often loosely applied, even in scientific literature." Kusky characterizes lagoons as normally being elongated parallel to the coast, while estuaries are usually drowned river valleys, elongated perpendicular to the coast. When used within the context of a distinctive portion of coral reef ecosystems, the term "lagoon" is synonymous with the term "back reef" or "backreef", which is more commonly used by coral reef scientists to refer to the same area. Coastal lagoons are classified as inland bodies of water.

The Spider, looks like it may be another ride who's soul purpose is to dizzy up the riders, but in reality it is much better than that. Four riders sit in the coaster, riders facing opposite directions. The coaster moves up the initial incline with the coaster locked into position. Once the coaster gets up the incline, the coaster unlocks from the base and moves horizontally based on the momentum the track and riders can create. The ride is very smooth and a lot of fun. We rode the coaster with a four year old, and it was her favorite ride of the day.
Tip: The very last straight re-aligns/ locks the coaster, prepare for some hard impact.
Minimum ride height is 46 inches.
Additional Information: Unlike most amusement parks, Lagoon is not a very guest friendly park. Try not to take bags or cameras onto the rides as the staff do not allow them in most cases. You will be asked to use lockers or other storage areas and leave your party in order to deposit these items. The overall staffing of the park would benefit greatly from some customer service training.

They even have a water park! We have actually never been to it because we usually only go up for the day and just doesn't seem like enough time to fit it in. But it looks awesome from the outside.

We spent the day at Utah's only amusement park called Lagoon. It's definitely one of the hotspots here in Utah and one of my families favorite places to go.
