Nellis Air Force Base ("Nellis" colloq.) is a United States Air Force installation in southern Nevada with military schools and more squadrons than any other USAF base. Nellis hosts air combat exercises such as Exercise Red Flag and close air support exercises such as Green Flag-West flown in "Military Operations Area (MOA) airspace". associated with the nearby Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR). The base also has the Combined Air and Space Operations Center-Nellis.
The Nellis AFB mission of advanced combat training for composite strike forces is commonly conducted in conjunction with air and grounds units of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps and allied forces. The base also supports operations at the nearby Creech Air Force Base, the Tonopah Test Range and the Nevada National Security Site. Nellis ground systems for range operations (e.g., by callsign "Nellis Control") include the Computer and Computed Subsystem used to receive microwave signals from the NTTR Ground Based Stations of the Tracking and Communications Subsystem (TCS) for presentation on Nellis' Display and Debrief SubSystem (DDS).
An military airbase (sometimes referred to as a military airfield, military airport, air force station, air force base or short airbase) is an aerodrome used by a military force for the operation of military aircraft.
An airbase typically has some facilities similar to a civilian airport—for example air traffic control and firefighting. Some military aerodromes have passenger facilities; for example RAF Brize Norton in England has a terminal used by passengers for the Royal Air Force's flights by TriStar to the Falkland Islands. A number of military airbases also have a civil enclave for commercial passenger flights, e.g. Beijing Nanyuan Airport (China), Ibaraki Airport (Japan), Burlington International Airport (USA).
Some airbases have revetments, hardened aircraft shelters, or even underground hangars, to protect aircraft from enemy attack. Combat aircraft require storage of aircraft ordnance. An airbase may be defended by anti-aircraft weapons and force protection troops.
In baseball, a force is a situation when a baserunner is compelled (or forced) to vacate his time-of-pitch base—and thus try to advance to the next base—because the batter became a runner. A runner at first base is always forced to attempt to advance to second base when the batter becomes a runner. Runners at second or third base are forced only when all bases preceding their time-of-pitch base are occupied by other baserunners and the batter becomes a runner.
A forced runner's force base is the next base beyond his time-of-pitch base. Any attempt by fielders to put a forced runner out is called a force play. Think of forced runners as bumper cars. If with a runner on first, the batter hits a ground ball, the batter must run to first, and since two runners are not allowed to stay on one base at one time, the runner who was on first to begin with is now bumper-carred by the advancing batter over to second. If there already was a runner on second as well, that runner is now bumper-carred over to third, and so on. If a runner is bumper-carred over to the next base by the advancing batter or by another runner who was bumper-carred by the advancing batter, then that runner is considered to have been forced to advance to the next base. If, however, with a runner on third, for example, the batter hits a ground ball, the batter must run to first, but the runner on third, not having been bumper-carred by the batter, is not forced to advance and can stay where he is if he elects to.

The exercise is hosted north of Las Vegas on the Nevada Test and Training Range -- the U.S. Air Force's premier military training area with more than 15,000 square miles of airspace and 2.9 million acres of land. With 1,900 possible targets, realistic threat systems and an opposing enemy force that cannot be replicated anywhere else in the world, Nellis AFB and the NTTR are the home of a simulated battlefield, providing combat air forces with the ability to train to fight together in a peacetime environment, and to survive and win together.

Highlights from Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada
I shot this video from my backyard in the Summerlin area of Las Vegas, Nevada on the night of May 22, 2016. To begin with I can never resist a short clip of a full harvest moon rising. This was filmed in my usual spot over at Nellis AFB but this time, something completely different happened. I had back to back objects come straight down at a pretty high rate of speed yet there were no crashes that I could tell. They bot seemed to be under intelligent control. I know of no man-made objects that can approach the ground at such a high rate of speed and not crash. I showed these objects at their actual speeds and looped the video so you can see each one ten times. The remainder of the video of objects in the air had to be sped up because there was well over one hour of video. These objects ar...

Traveling toward Nellis Air Force Base Now that the Brotherhood trusts me enough to handle some reconaissance work for them, I leave Hidden Valley and continue a different quest (the main quest Wild Card: Side Bets). I need to make contact with 5 more factions, so I head off for Nellis AFB, where I should find the Boomers. I fast travel to Freeside, then I make my way up Interstate 15, only to be stopped by artillery coming from the base. I reload and contemplate how to enter the base without getting fragged to pieces...

This video was originally shot on September 14, 2014, across the highway from Nellis Air Force Base. I wanted to redo this video because I hadn't had my camcorder long when I made this. This video was filmed at 30 frames per second and now all of them are filmed at 60 frames per second. I was just learning how to use the camcorder at the time I filmed this video. I also put this video together on my old computer which didn't have much processing power. The new computer is a beast and did a much better job on the video. I had to hook up an old external hard drive to the new computer to do it because I save all of the raw video files from my videos along with the produced video. I figure if anyone ever wants to start investigating the UFO events I film they will have access to all the origi...
Recently I PCS'd to Nellis Air Force base in Las Vegas, Nevada from Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan. Kadena was my first duty station and I was there for 3 years. Nellis Air Force Base is my second assignment. The process to PCS can be extremely difficult, stressful, and overwhelming. Especially if it's your first or second time PCSing. Going from an overseas assignment to a stateside assignment doesn't make things easy either. When you PCS you will out process from your current base which includes several checklists and papers being signed to release you from the base. You'll also have to sell or transfer your vehicles and deal with leaving your house, doing final house cleaning and inspections. Then you'll fly or drive to your next duty station. Since I was stationed in Japan I had to ...

Everyone's leaving
The house is in mess
You and your magic friend
Chose to confront me folding the air into a dark affair
We need an air force
To gather the pieces, the love and the fear
I made your skin crawl on this night
Oh, my love
Lock up the doors
There's no easing the pain
Losing a life of games
Brought to impostures and comfort in death
You walk alone, my friend
We need an air force
To gather the pieces, the love and the fear
I made your skin crawl on this night
Oh, my love
Take off these sad clothes I need you to feel my despair Breaking the atmosphere
All of your talk of the dead will not stop
Breathe me like toxic love
We need an air force
To empty the streets with their naked machines
You made my skin crawl on this night
Oh, my love
We won't be air borne
Caught with the dust and the salt on the floor
We need an air force in this life
