Our Viewability Policy

News Corp Australia Viewability Policy
Effective 19th March, 2015

The following outlines News Corp Australia’s policy as it relates to the use of viewability technology. If you have any questions about this policy, please refer them to your account manager.

  1. Line items that include a viewable guarantee
  2. Line items that include viewable tracking but no guarantee
  3. Certified 3rd party vendors for measuring viewability

News Corp Australia & Moat

News Corp Australia utilises Moat to measure the viewability of campaigns booked to run across its digital properties. You can read more information about them here.

1. For all line items that include a viewability guarantee:

News Corp Australia does not presently provide a viewability guarantee against any advertising placed on its websites.

2. For all line items that include viewability tracking, but no guarantee:

  • If buyer/agency chooses to use a viewability vendor other than Moat, buyer/agency agrees to review Moat viewability as well.
  • Buyer/agency also commits to providing, or giving publisher access to measurability rates broken out by placement on a weekly basis.
  • At request NewsCorp will provide MOAT reporting and analysis for review when client-side Viewability tags have been deployed

3. Certified 3rd party vendors for measuring viewability

News Corp Australia has tested a variety of 3rd parties and will allow tags included in ad material from the following vendors.

Certified Viewability Vendors

  • Moat
  • Integral Ad Science IAS
  • Comscore vCE
  • DoubleClick Campaign Manager DCM
  • Nielsen OCR

Please note: News Corp Australia is not presently able to optimise line items to improve viewability scores, either Moat or any other 3rd party vendors.
