It has since been recorded by many other singers, including Perry Como for RCA Victor, Snooky Lanson for London, Julia Lee and Her Boyfriends for Capitol, and Jack Pleis and His Orchestra for Decca Records (United States).

The Como recording was made on November 4, 1952 and released by RCA Victor Records as catalog number 20-5064 (78 rpm) and 47-5064 (45 rpm). The flip side of the single was "Don't Let the Stars Get in Your Eyes," a bigger hit, but this side did reach #30 on the Billboard charts. The same recording was also released in the United Kingdom by HMV as catalog number B-10431 in March, 1953, with the flip side "I Confess." It was also included in the 1956 LP album A Sentimental Date With Perry Como (RCA catalog number LPM-1177), and on several EP records.

G N' R Lies

G N' R Lies, also known as Lies, is the second studio album by the American rock band Guns N' Roses, released in 1988. While officially an extended play, it was treated as a studio album when released. According to the RIAA, the album has sold over five million copies in the United States alone. "Patience" was the only single released from Lies; it peaked at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Background and recording

The first four tracks consist of the previously released EP Live ?!*@ Like a Suicide. The last four songs were recorded with acoustic guitars. They were written and recorded in only a few studio sessions (with the exception of "You're Crazy," which appeared in an alternate version on Appetite for Destruction), which producer Mike Clink called "one of those magical rock and roll history moments."

In later interviews, Axl Rose stated that while he loved how the band sounded on the last four songs, he hated the sound of his voice. Rose recalled that his voice was husky and scratchy from the band's lengthy touring at the time, and if he could he would have re-recorded his vocal tracks in a separate session.

Eye

Eyes are the organs of vision. They detect light and convert it into electro-chemical impulses in neurons. In higher organisms, the eye is a complex optical system which collects light from the surrounding environment, regulates its intensity through a diaphragm, focuses it through an adjustable assembly of lenses to form an image, converts this image into a set of electrical signals, and transmits these signals to the brain through complex neural pathways that connect the eye via the optic nerve to the visual cortex and other areas of the brain. Eyes with resolving power have come in ten fundamentally different forms, and 96% of animal species possess a complex optical system. Image-resolving eyes are present in molluscs, chordates and arthropods.

The simplest "eyes", such as those in microorganisms, do nothing but detect whether the surroundings are light or dark, which is sufficient for the entrainment of circadian rhythms. From more complex eyes, retinal photosensitive ganglion cells send signals along the retinohypothalamic tract to the suprachiasmatic nuclei to effect circadian adjustment and to the pretectal area to control the pupillary light reflex.

Walk Among Us

Walk Among Us is the debut full-length album from the American horror punk band Misfits. The band's first full-length album to be released (although it was actually the third to be recorded, after Static Age and 12 Hits from Hell), it was originally co-released by Ruby and Slash Records as JRR804 in March 1982.

Album information

Walk Among Us is the product of a January 1982 recording session at Quad Teck in Los Angeles, California in which Glenn Danzig, for the most part, remixed previously recorded songs, overdubbing additional guitar tracks. Danzig also recorded new vocals for "Vampira" and mixed for the first time the live recording of "Mommy Can I Go Out & Kill Tonight?" that was recorded at the same time as the Evilive release.

The majority of the songs were originally recorded in a variety of sessions throughout early 1981 at the Mix-O-Lydian Studio in Boonton, New Jersey. The dates of these sessions are unknown, but they were all mixed at one time. "Vampira", "Devils Whorehouse", and "Astro Zombies" were recorded and mixed separately at Mix-O-Lydian in August 1981. "Hatebreeders" was recorded in June 1981 at Newsoundland in Fair Lawn, New Jersey. "Mommy Can I Go Out & Kill Tonight?", the only live track on the album, was recorded on December 17, 1981 at the Ritz in New York, New York.

Love (given name)

Love, or more uncommon Lowe, is a Swedish version of the French name Louis. It can also be a version of Lovisa, and can thus be used both for men and women, although it is more common with men.

The name is uncommon amongst adults; there are less than 200 men older than 30 in Sweden with the name, but several hundreds from every cohort born in the 1990s. 31 December 2009, there was in total 6,058 men in Sweden with the name Love/Lowe, of which 2,953 had it as first nnameame, the rest as middle name. There were also 531 women with the name, of which 128 had it as given name.

In 2003, 344 boys got the name, and of those, 182 got it as given name. The same year, 24 girls got the name, of which 6 got it as given name.

Tennis scoring system

A tennis tournament is organized into matches between players (for singles tournaments) or teams of two players (for doubles tournaments). The matches of a tournament are grouped into rounds. In round 1, all players (or teams) are paired and play against each other in matches. The losers are said to leave, or be out. They no longer compete in the tournament (this is single elimination). The winners are again paired to play in the matches of the next round. The tournament continues until the quarterfinal round (having eight players or teams playing in pairs), then the semifinal round (having four players or teams playing in pairs), and finally the final round (having only two players or teams) are played. The winner of the final round is declared the winner of the entire tournament.

A tennis match is composed of points, games, and sets. A match is won when a player or a doubles team wins the majority of prescribed sets. Traditionally, matches are either a best of three sets or best of five sets format. The best of five set format is typically only played in the Men's singles or doubles matches at Majors and Davis Cup matches.
