Romansh
(also spelled Romansch, Rumantsch, or Romanche; Romansh: rumantsch , rumàntsch,
romauntsch or
romontsch ) is a Romance language spoken predominantly in the southeastern Swiss canton of Grisons (Graubünden), where it has official status alongside German and Italian and is used as the medium of instruction in schools in Romansh-speaking areas. Romansh has also been recognized as a national language of Switzerland since 1938 and as an official language along with German, French and Italian since 1996. It is sometimes grouped with Ladin and Friulian as a Rhaeto-Romance language, though this is disputed.
Romansh is a descendant of the spoken Latin language of the Roman Empire, which by the 5th century AD replaced the Celtic and Raetic languages previously spoken in the area, although Romansh retains a small number of words from these languages. Romansh has also been heavily influenced by German in vocabulary and morphosyntax. The language gradually retreated to its current area over the centuries, being replaced by Alemannic and Bavarian dialects. The earliest writing identified as Romansh dates from the 10th or 11th century, although major works do not appear until the 16th century when several regional written varieties began to develop. The 19th century saw a further shrinkage of the language area but also a literary revival and the start of a language movement dedicated to halting the decline of the language.
Radiotelevisiun Svizra Rumantscha (RTR, English: Radio-Television Swiss Rumantscha) (formerly known as Radio e Televisiun Rumantscha (English: Radio Television Rumantscha)) is a Swiss broadcasting company (part of SRG SSR) which offers programming to Romansh-speakers in Switzerland and around the world.

Las Cristallas, the Romansh "radioscola" (radio school, or lectures delivered by radio broadcast), premiered on 27 January 1955.
Il Balcun Tort, the first television program in Romansh, was broadcast on 17 February 1963. This commemorated the 25th anniversary of Romansh's becoming Switzerland's fourth national language.

Zarli Carigiet (5 August 1907 – 6 May 1981) was a Swiss actor and comedian. He was a member of the satirical Cabaret Cornichon and starred in movies by directors such as Leopold Lindtberg, Franz Schnyder, and Kurt Früh. He was the younger brother of the artist and illustrator Alois Carigiet.
Balthasar Anton Carigiet was one of eleven children born to Alois Carigiet and Barbara Antonia Carigiet, née Lombriser. His father was a farmer in Trun in the canton of Grisons, and had served as magistrate in the district of Disentis. Economic hardship forced the family to resettle in the canton's capital Chur in 1911, where Zarli visited the primary and secondary school, and absolved an apprenticeship with decorative artist Walter Räth. Zarli's older brother Alois had also been trained in Räth's atelier. In the late 1920s and early 1930s, Zarli worked as a graphic designer for his brother's atelier in Zurich. Carigiet's comical talent was discovered by Walter Lesch, a comedy writer and the artistic director of the satirical "Cabaret Cornichon" ("Gherkin Cabaret"). Carigiet joined the Cornichon 's ensemble in 1934 and remained a steady member until 1951.

Like pennies in a wishing well
I try but I can never tell
Where this winding road of life
Will lead tomorrow
But in between the how and why
The questions of the days gone by
One thing brings me peace of mind
It's knowing come what may
That I am safe with your arms around me
Since the day love found me
I am safe, I know my hope's in heaven
And whatever happens I am safe
There's trouble everywhere I turn
No end to lessons to be learned
And it scares me wonderin'
What's around the corner
But you've told me to remember this
You're there for me and know what's best
I shouldn't worry about all the rest
Just trust in you and not forget
I am safe with your arms around me
Since the day love found me
I am safe, I know my hope's in heaven
And whatever happens I am safe
I am safe
I am safe with your arms around me
Since the day love found me
I am safe, I know my hope's in heaven
And whatever happens
I am safe with your arms around me
Since the day love found me
I am safe, I know my hope's in heaven
And whatever happens
I am safe with your arms around me
Since the day love found me
I am safe, I know my hope's in heaven
