Selena Gomez

Selena Marie Gomez (/səˈliːnə məˈriː ˈɡoʊmɛz/ sə-LEE-nə mə-REE GOH-mez;Spanish pronunciation: [seˈlena ˈɣomes]; born July 22, 1992) is an American singer and actress. Born and raised in Grand Prairie, Texas, she was first featured on the children's series Barney & Friends in the early 2000s. In 2007, Gomez came to prominence after being cast in the Disney Channel series Wizards of Waverly Place, in which she starred as the lead character, Alex Russo, until its conclusion in 2012. She formed the band Selena Gomez & the Scene after signing a recording contract with Hollywood Records in 2008; they released the studio albums Kiss & Tell (2009), A Year Without Rain (2010), and When the Sun Goes Down (2011) before beginning a hiatus in 2012.

Gomez entered the film industry with star billings in feature films including Ramona and Beezus (2010), Monte Carlo (2011), and Hotel Transylvania (2012). She embraced an increasingly mature public image with her star billing in the film Spring Breakers (2013) and her 2013 debut solo studio album, Stars Dance. The latter project debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 and included the Billboard Hot 100 top-ten single "Come & Get It." Gomez was released from her recording contract with Hollywood Records following the completion of her compilation album For You (2014). She subsequently signed with Interscope Records to continue work on her sophomore studio album, Revival (2015). Many children find themselves in situations where family courts have given custody to the parent (mostly mothers) who in many cases are not the better parent. Many children are abused by their sole custodial parent as was the child in this video by his mother. During this video, the boy describes how his mother and her boyfriend assaulted him just because he wanted to wear his boots from his mother's home to his father's home. Many immature and sick in the mind custodial parents wont even allow their children to take toys or personal possessions to the other parent's home due to their obsession to control the child. The mother at 8:17 tells her son that "Daddy" (Her new partner) was going to call the cops on him. Many parents force their children to recognize their new partner as mommy or daddy and further insult to the biological parent. Tragically, once children become teenagers, they fight their custodial parent to be back with their other parent. This often reopens custody and child support disputes which the lawyers like of course because this means business for the legal system. 50/50 shared parenting from the time of separation and no child support in most cases would make children happier and and largely eliminate the court battles over child support and custody and eliminate putting children into the type of situation which this video demonstrates. As far as the actions of police in this video, all police officers should do what was done by the police officers in this video and to not support the custodial parent but only to limit their authority to keeping the peace, respecting the child's freedom and not taking sides in a custody dispute. Unless there is a court Order ordering the police to intervene and apprehend a child, police should simply stay neutral in these matters. He is free to call or text her (or anyone in her family) any time he wishes (something I was never granted). He is also free to visit her or her family or friends any time he wishes. On this day, he is with his cousins in Gardendale, TX playing and working on the family farm. He is excited to have a job this summer. My son and I are very close and are very open. We have a full summer planned and I am excited. I thank many of you for your kind, encouraging words.
