Raymond Charles Robinson (September 23, 1930 – June 10, 2004), professionally known as Ray Charles, was an American singer, songwriter, musician, and composer. He was sometimes referred to as "The Genius", and was also nicknamed "The High Priest of Soul".
He pioneered the genre of soul music during the 1950s by combining rhythm and blues, Gospel, and blues styles into the music he recorded for Atlantic Records. He also contributed to the racial integration of country and pop music during the 1960s with his crossover success on ABC Records, most notably with his two Modern Sounds albums. While he was with ABC, Charles became one of the first African-American musicians to be granted artistic control by a mainstream record company.
Charles was blind from the age of seven. Charles cited Nat King Cole as a primary influence, but his music was also influenced by jazz, blues, rhythm and blues, and country artists of the day, including Art Tatum, Louis Jordan, Charles Brown, and Louis Armstrong. Charles' playing reflected influences from country blues, barrelhouse, and stride piano styles. He had strong ties to Quincy Jones, who often cared for him and showed him the ropes of the "music club industry."
Charles is a masculine given name from the French form Charles of a Germanic name Karl. The original Anglo-Saxon was Ċearl or Ċeorl, as the name of king Cearl of Mercia, that disappeared after the Norman conquest of England.
The corresponding Old Norse form is Karl, the German form is also Karl. The name was notably borne by Charlemagne (Charles the Great), and was at the time Latinized as Karolus (as in Vita Karoli Magni), later also as Carolus.
The name's etymology is a Common Germanic noun *karlaz meaning "free man", which survives in English as churl (< Old English ċeorl), which developed its deprecating sense in the Middle English period.
In the form Charles, the initial spelling ch- corresponds to the palatalization of the Latin group ca- to [tʃa] in Central Old French (Francien) and the final -s to the former subjective case (cas sujet) of masculine names in Old French like in Giles or James (< Latin -us, see Spanish/ Portuguese Carlos).
According to Julius Pokorny, the historical linguist and Indo-Europeanist, the root meaning of Karl is "old man", from Indo-European *ĝer-, where the ĝ is a palatal consonant, meaning "to rub; to be old; grain." An old man has been worn away and is now grey with age.
Charlie Brown is the principal character in the comic strip Peanuts.

Charlie Puth (/puːθ/) (born December 2, 1991) is an American singer, songwriter, arranger, and record producer. Puth gained popularity virally by posting his work to YouTube. Puth released two extended plays, The Otto Tunes (2010) and Ego (2013), as an independent artist. In 2015 he signed with Atlantic Records and released his debut single "Marvin Gaye", which features guest vocals from Meghan Trainor. The single has been certified 2× Platinum in Australia, topped the charts in New Zealand, Ireland, and the United Kingdom, and peaked at number 21 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Puth wrote, co-produced, and was featured on a song with Wiz Khalifa, "See You Again", included in the Furious 7 soundtrack. On May 1, 2015, Puth released an EP, Some Type of Love. The pre-order for Puth's debut studio album Nine Track Mind started on August 20, 2015 along with the second single One Call Away, and the album was released on January 29, 2016.
Puth was born December 2, 1991, in Rumson, New Jersey, the son of Debra and Charles Puth, his father of German descent and his mother Jewish. At 2, his right eyebrow was damaged in a near fatal dog bite incident. Puth participated in a summer youth jazz ensemble in Red Bank, New Jersey at 12. He graduated from Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School in 2010. During his 7th grade to senior years, he attended Manhattan School of Music Pre-College as a jazz piano major and a classical minor. On a full scholarship, he graduated in 2013 from the Berklee College of Music, where he majored in music production and engineering.
The Big Sleep (1939) is a hardboiled crime novel by Raymond Chandler, the first to feature detective Philip Marlowe. The work has been adapted for film twice, once in 1946 and again in 1978. The story is set in Los Angeles, California.
The story is noted for its complexity, with many characters double-crossing one another and many secrets being exposed throughout the narrative. The title is a euphemism for death; it refers to a rumination in the final pages of the book about "sleeping the big sleep".
In 1999, the book was voted ninety-sixth of Le Monde's "100 Books of the Century". In 2005, it was included in Time's "List of the 100 Best Novels".
Private investigator Philip Marlowe is called to the home of the wealthy and elderly General Sternwood, in the month of October. He wants Marlowe to deal with an attempt by a bookseller named Arthur Geiger to blackmail his wild young daughter, Carmen. She had previously been blackmailed by a man named Joe Brody. Sternwood mentions his other, older daughter Vivian is in a loveless marriage with a man named Rusty Regan, who has disappeared. On Marlowe's way out, Vivian wonders if he was hired to find Regan, but Marlowe will not say.

For more info - http://www.eagle-rock.com/artist/ray-charles/#.U-jdrDhwaB8 Ray Charles was one of the true pioneers of soul music. Born in Georgia in 1930 he was one of the first performers to mix gospel, R & B and jazz to create a new form of black pop music that would come to be known as soul. His voice and delivery were strikingly different and instantly recognisable. He had his first hits in the early 50's and was still hitting the charts into the 21st century. His death in June 2004 from liver disease was front page news around the world. This concert was filmed at the Montreux Jazz Festival on July 19, 1997 and features Ray Charles and his orchestra, led by sax player Al Jackson, and of course The Raelettes. The full performance is available on the Eagle Vision DVD "Live at Montreux...

This concert at the Paris Olympia was supposed to be a very special and emotional for Ray Charles. It was his 70th birthday; and it was his first tour in this new millennium. That night, (November 22nd.2000) Ray Charles was supposed to play with his "Big Band" but due to an air traffic controller's strike in Lisbon; the Band was stuck at the airport. So, Ray had only his drummer, a guitar player and a bass player for the performance. But they worked out a new show, set list and arrangements in the hotel room and came on stage late. The show went on, and what resulted, was a fantastic and a creative concert, with a rare emotion and sensibility.

And you know when I was a little boy, I remember we always sing it like this : Oh beautiful, for spacious skies, For amber waves of grain, For purple mountain majesties, Above the fruited plain, America,America, God done shed his grace on thee, Oh yes He did,He did He crowned thy good,oh don't you remember? In a brotherhood, From sea to shining sea. You know, I wish I had somebody to help me sing ...

Brown Statistics, NESS Seminar and Charles K. Colver Lectureship Series Deep learning has caused revolutions in computer perception and natural language understanding. But almost all these successes largely rely on supervised learning, where the machine is required to predict human provided annotations. For game AI, most systems use model free reinforcement learning, which requires too many trials to be practical in the real world. But animals and humans seem to learn vast amounts of knowledge about how the world works through mere observation and occasional actions. Good predictive world models are an essential component of intelligent behavior: With them, one can predict outcomes and plan courses of actions. One could argue that good predictive mod...

"Algiers" is a 1938 American drama film directed by John Cromwell and starring Charles Boyer, Sigrid Gurie, and Hedy Lamarr. Written by John Howard Lawson, the film is about a notorious French jewel thief hiding in the labyrinthine native quarter of Algiers known as the Casbah. Feeling imprisoned by his self-imposed exile, he is drawn out of hiding by a beautiful French tourist who reminds him of happier times in Paris. The Walter Wanger production was a remake of the successful 1937 French film Pépé le Moko, which derived its plot from the Henri La Barthe novel of the same name. "Algiers" was a sensation because it was the first Hollywood film starring Hedy Lamarr, whose stunning beauty became the main feature for film audiences. The film is notable as one of the sources of inspiration to...

Apology for Murder 1945 From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Apology for Murder is a 1945 American film noir directed by Sam Newfield, and starring Ann Savage, Hugh Beaumont, Russell Hicks and Charles D. Brown. The plot of Apology for Murder is a blatant rip-off of the seminal film noir Double Indemnity which was released the previous year. The production company Producers Releasing Corporation, one of the B movie studios of Hollywood’s Poverty Row, wanted to take advantage of Double Indemnity's huge success and originally intended to call the film Single Indemnity. However Paramount Pictures, the production company of Double Indemnity, got wind of it and obtained an injunction. PRC then changed the title to Apology for Murder. Much acclaimed B movie director Edgar G. Ul...

I used to be crazy, crazy
I never seen it coming, hit me like a freight train
Everything was going so well
Then everything changed
From the moment our lips touched
I guess you thought that I owed you something
From the moment that we made love
I guess you wanted to control me
Where's that angel that I loved to love, where the
Why you thinking all those crazy thoughts
Girl I don't know
I don't question you bout anything
But you go through my phone
Thought we were in this thing together babe
[Chorus]
Every single time we make love
Whenever I say I do everything for you
Everytime we talk about trust
Whenever I say the worlds I love you
That make you crazy, that make you crazy
That make you crazy, that make you crazy
This just ain't how you used to be
Guess my love make you crazy
This just ain't how you used to be
My best friend's missin, gone since yesterday
All you wanna do is argue, we can talk about anything
I wanna know what's wrong, say I don't care
Tryina, tryina proove my love
I gotta get outta here
Where's that angel that I loved to love
Where did she go
Why you thinking all those crazy thoughts, girl I don't know
I don't question you bout anything
But you go through my phone
Thought we were in this thing together babe
[Chorus]
Every single time we make love
Whenever I say I do everything for you
Everytime we talk about trust
Whenever I say the worlds I love you
That make you crazy, that make you crazy
That make you crazy, that make you crazy
We used to be a fairy tale
Now we're just a nightmare
I'm feeling so unwanted here
All the power that I gave you over me
You're using it to do wrong
How can you be so cold to me
[Chorus]
Every single time we make love
Whenever I say I do everything for you
Everytime we talk about trust
Whenever I say the worlds I love you
That make you crazy, that make you crazy
That make you crazy, that make you crazy
That make you crazy, that make you crazy
