After crossing the Kharagpur Electric Loco Trip Shed, my 12703 Howrah - Secunderabad Falaknuma Express entered Kharagpur Jn. station and travelled all the way through Platform number 1 to reach Platform Number 3. One long platform divided into two part with points in between for the train behind to overtake or proceed earlier than the first one.
Enjoy the different array of locos on the Kharagpur Electric Loco Trip Shed, ranging from Santragachi WAP 4 to Bokaro Steel City, Tughlakabad, Bhuswal WAG 5, Ghaziabad WAP 1, WAG 7.
Falaknuma Express a daily superfast train connects Howrah and Secunderabad Jn, Hyderabad daily. Has rake sharing arrangement with Secunderabad Jn. - Tirupati Narayandari Express. Runs always on waiting list.
Maintained by South Central Railways. Train derived its name from the famous Falaknuma Palace used by the Nizam's of Hyderabad, now turned into a 5 Star Hotel, by the Taj group.

Class 395 is Hitachi's first rolling stock in regular service in Europe. These Hitachi trains provide the fastest domestic rail service in Britain, and are capable of operating at a maximum speed of 140mph. This case study showcases several key aspects of the Class 395 project and demonstrates some of the key reasons for its success.
Running on time ? Britain's first high-speed domestic train service
In 2004, Hitachi took 29 trains on order, leading to the creation of the fastest operating domestic service trains in the United Kingdom. The trains are based at a depot south of Ashford International Railway Station and usually run at 125 miles per hour.
A regular service commenced on the 30th of December 2009 carrying thousands of passengers daily to London, reaching St. Pancras Station in just 37 minutes from Ashford International Station and it's this success story which helped Hitachi introduce a new generation of rail travel to Europe.

Tikiapara is an area in Howrah, West Bengal, India. It is close to Howrah Station.
Tikiapara also has railway station by its name. There is a big railway colony built during late nineteenth century along Tikiapara railway station. It is managed by South Eastern Railway. The station code is TKPR.Its the next station of Howrah.The most attractive place of tikiapara is the "Bellilious park".Its a flood prone area. Although no express train stop at this station all local and passenger train stop at Tikiapara.
There is also a large slum area along the tracks of Tikiapara. Youngsters and children are largely involved in drug peddling, rag picking and petty robberies. However, some Christian missionaries including Missionaries of Charity and other NGO have taken initiative to educate children and provide alternate source of income through selling jute and paper bags to people.

(HD) Loads of different Southeastern Trains filmed at London Bridge Railway Station whilst I was there for a couple of hours. Basically includes every EMU run by Southeastern including Class 465's 466, 375, 376.
Apologies for the filming style. It was my first proper time with a new video camera and I didn't use a tripod or anything. My more recent videos are a big improvement on this!

Some high speed action from Eastern and South Eastern Railways, covering some major trains. I have tried to keep a balance between types of locomotives in this composition, to maintain some diversity. Prominently featured are the Howrah WAP4s, Ghaziabad WAP7, Howrah WDM3, Jhansi WDM3, Howrah WAP7, Tatanagar WAM4, Bardhaman WDM3, and Siliguri WDP4. In order of appearance, the trains covered are:

The Bally curve between Dankuni and Bally, near Howrah, remains one of the most photographed location on Eastern Railways, The Howrah Rajdhani, racing through the S-curve featured on the cover page of multiple editions of the Eastern Railways timetable, and Oscar-winning film-maker, Satyajit Ray shot the Howrah Rajdhani on this curve in his final film, Agantuk.
17. The last word of course stays with the ER King! Howrah Rajdhani rushes past the Kanchanjungha Express near Bardhaman, with its customary Ghaziabad WAP7.

There is a big railway colony built during late nineteenth century along Tikiapara railway station. It is managed by South Eastern Railway. (HD) Loads of different Southeastern Trains filmed at London Bridge Railway Station whilst I was there for a couple of hours. Basically includes every EMU run by Southeastern including Class 465's 466, 375, 376.
Apologies for the filming style. It was my first proper time with a new video camera and I didn't use a tripod or anything. My more recent videos are a big improvement on this!
