Richard Heffer (born 28 July 1946 in Cambridge) is a British actor, best known for his roles on television in the 1970s and 1980s. His film career included appearances in Women in Love (1969), Waterloo (1970), Penny Gold (1973), The Sign of Four (1983), and Possession (2002).
He played supporting roles in a variety of TV series in his early career, including Department S, The Pathfinders and Jason King, before landing the role of British Army Captain Tim Downing in the BBC/Universal television series, Colditz (1972–74), in which Heffer was a regular throughout. He went on to play Det. Sgt. Alan Bruton in the final series of Dixon of Dock Green (1976) and Peter Porteous in two series of Enemy at the Door (1978,1980).
Heffer went on to guest in Father Brown, Public Eye and Survivors in the 1970s. He played Peter Witney alongside Roy Marsden in Airline in 1982, and took the leading role of rabies expert Michael Hilliard in the acclaimed BBC thriller The Mad Death in 1983. He also played Dr Charles Cartwright in the early series of the sitcom, Don't Wait Up.
Simon James Heffer (born 18 July 1960) is a British journalist, author and political commentator.
Heffer was educated at King Edward VI Grammar School in Chelmsford before going to read English at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge (MA), later receiving a PhD in History.
Heffer worked for the Daily Telegraph until 1995. He worked as a columnist for the Daily Mail from 1995 to 2005. He rejoined the Telegraph in October 2005 as a columnist and associate editor. Martin Newland, the Daily Telegraph's editor at the time, described the newspaper as Heffer's "natural journalistic home". He left the Telegraph in May 2011 to "pursue a role in journalism and broadcasting" and "complete a major literary project". It had been speculated that his departure had been prompted by his constant attacks on David Cameron's government, of which the Telegraph is generally supportive.
Heffer has written biographies of the historian and essayist Thomas Carlyle, the composer Ralph Vaughan Williams and of the politician Enoch Powell (Like the Roman), which was described by the New Statesman as "a lucid and majestic tribute" to the politician.
General semantics is a self improvement and therapy program begun in the 1920s that seeks to use language to regulate human mental habits and behaviors. After partial launches under the names human engineering and humanology, Polish-American originator Alfred Korzybski (1879–1950) fully launched the program as general semantics in 1933 with the publication of Science and Sanity: An Introduction to Non-Aristotelian Systems and General Semantics.
The sourcebook for general semantics, Science and Sanity, presents general semantics as both a theoretical and a practical system whose adoption can reliably alter human behavior in the direction of greater sanity. Its author asserted that general semantics training could eventually unify people and nations. In the 1947 preface to the third edition of Science and Sanity, Korzybski wrote: "We need not blind ourselves with the old dogma that 'human nature cannot be changed', for we find that it can be changed." However, in the opinion of a majority of psychiatrists the tenets and practices of General Semantics are not an effective way of treating patients with psychological or mental illnesses. And while Korzybski considered his program to be empirically based and to strictly follow the scientific method, the General Semantics has been described as veering into the domain of pseudoscience.
Ray Caesar (born October 26, 1958) is an English digital surreal artist who lives and works in Toronto, Canada.
From 1977-80 he attended the Ontario College of Art, followed by 17 years working in the Art & Photography Department of the Hospital For Sick Children in Toronto, in their art therapy program. Inspired by surrealists such as Frida Kahlo and Salvador Dalí, Caesar's experiences at the Children Hospital deeply influenced his artwork. Caesar said: "Working in a photography department in a Children's hospital is the act of chronicling everything from child abuse, re-constructive surgery, to the heroic children that deal with the hardship and challenges that life has to offer. I spent many years creating medical and research documentation, medical and technical drawings, images of huge equipment surrounding tiny premature infants and visual tools for brain-damaged children".
From 1998 to 2001 he worked as a senior animator in GVFX, Toronto, where he mastered his skills in using 3D modelling software.

Jovi Val, a Trump supporter who was attacked by Antifa associates in July while attending an after party with friends, Confronts Spencer Sunshine a figurehead in the Antifa movement. Spencer had labeled Jovi a white nationalist before the attack, which resulted in him being hit and slashed in the face with a beer bottle. As Jovi talks to Spencer I become engaged in a debate with another Antifa member/supporter.. Who unsurprisingly calls me a racist and white supremacist. He jumps up and down in a tantrum like a little girl while clapping his hands when I point out he has no argument.. and, for some reason, he wont say having sex with a 13 year old is rape and wrong.

On 27 November 1985 the Liverpool district Labour Party was suspended by the Labour national leadership. The party executive ordered a full inquiry into the Labour Council after allegations that the revolutionary socialist group Militant Tendency was operating within it. Critics of Militant said the faction was trying to take over the local party and use it to spread its Trotskyite views.
