TEXT FROM THE GOSPEL AND HOMILY
The Lord be with you. And with your spirit.
A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke. Glory to you, O Lord.
The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.” The Lord replied, “If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you would say to this mulberry tree ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you. Who among you would say to your servant who has just come in from plowing or tending sheep in the field, ‘Come here immediately and take your place at table?’ Would he not rather say to him, ‘Prepare something for me to eat. Put on your apron and wait on me while I eat and drink. You may eat and drink when I am finished.’ Is he grateful to that servant because he did what was commanded? So should it be with you. When you have done all that you have been commanded, say we are unprofitable servants, we have done what we were obliged to do.”

There is a story about a younger man who was diagnosed with a terminal case of cancer. He wanted to make things right with God and he called the priest over to his home to visit with him. They had a great encounter together. The man went to confession, he was anointed, received the sacrament of healing. He also took some time with the priest to pick out the songs that he wants sung at the funeral and he also took some time to say “These are the scripture passages that I would like people to hear.” They had a great encounter and the priest was just about to leave and all of a sudden the man popped up and said, “Wait, there is one more thing.” The priest said, “What is that?” The man said, “I would like to be buried with a fork in my right hand.” Now the priest was a little bit surprised by this. “What you do mean with a fork in your right hand?” The man said, “You know what I remember some of the best times in my life, Thanksgiving, Easter, birthday parties, maybe socials. Every time when that main course was finished and the plates were getting picked up someone would inevitably lean in and say ‘Keep your fork, keep your fork.” And he said “When I heard that, I always knew that something better was coming. Something good with substance, cheesecake, brownies, tiramisu, you name it. Something good was coming.” And he said “On my funeral when I'm in the casket, when people see that fork, they might ask you ‘What is with the fork?’ And you tell them “The best is yet to come.” The best is yet to come, that is the vision of our readings today. The prophet Habakkuk, we hear of the prophet Habakkuk just once every three years. On these Sundays things are in misery, things are in ruin and then God speaks to Habakkuk and says the vision will come to pass. In time it presses on to fulfillment, it will not disappoint. Perhaps you might look into our hearts and our own lives and we might feel like things are over. We might feel like there is no hope. We might find ourselves carrying a cross, a terminal diagnosis and the message that God gives us today is keep the faith, press on. There might be a prayer that you have been praying and praying and praying, perhaps for a child to return to the faith. Do not give up now, the best is yet to come. Keep the fork. Keep your faith in Jesus Christ. And so when this Mass, we put in all of our burdens, all of our strengths, all of our crosses onto Jesus Christ, knowing that the best is yet to come. That faith and the cross triumphs over everything.

Noun
A noun (from Latin nōmen, literally meaning "name") is a word that functions as the name of some specific thing or set of things, such as living creatures, objects, places, actions, qualities, states of existence, or ideas.Linguistically, a noun is a member of a large, open part of speech whose members can occur as the main word in the subject of a clause, the object of a verb, or the object of a preposition.
Lexical categories (parts of speech) are defined in terms of the ways in which their members combine with other kinds of expressions. The syntactic rules for nouns differ from language to language. In English, nouns are those words which can occur with articles and attributive adjectives and can function as the head of a noun phrase.
History
Word classes (parts of speech) were described by Sanskrit grammarians from at least the 5th century BC. In Yāska's Nirukta, the noun (nāma) is one of the four main categories of words defined.
The Ancient Greek equivalent was ónoma (ὄνομα), referred to by Plato in the Cratylus dialog, and later listed as one of the eight parts of speech in The Art of Grammar, attributed to Dionysius Thrax (2nd century BC). The term used in Latin grammar was nōmen. All of these terms for "noun" were also words meaning "name". The English word noun is derived from the Latin term, through the Anglo-Norman noun.

Stefan Molyneux
Stefan Basil Molyneux (/stɛˈfæn ˈmɑːlɪnjuː/; born September 24, 1966) is a Canadian blogger. Molyneux's areas of interest include anarcho-capitalism, secular ethics, libertarianism, cryptocurrencies, and familial relationships. He is a self-published author and has spoken at libertarian conferences and on podcasts. Molyneux formerly worked in the software industry.
Background
Molyneux was born in Ireland and moved to Canada when he was about 12 years old. After attending the Glendon College of York University, where he was a member of Theatre Glendon and the Debating Society, he attended the National Theatre School of Canada in Montreal. Molyneux received a B.A. in History from McGill University in 1991 and an M.A. in History from University of Toronto in 1993.
In early 1995, he and his brother Hugh founded Caribou Systems Corporation, a Toronto-based provider of environmental database software. Stefan was the salesman for the company. The company was sold in 2000.
Molyneux was raised in the Protestant Christian tradition, however describes himself as an atheist.

A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke. Glory to you, O Lord. The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.” The Lord replied, “If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you would say to this mulberry tree ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you. Who among you would say to your servant who has just come in from plowing or tending sheep in the field, ‘Come here immediately and take your place at table?’ Would he not rather say to him, ‘Prepare something for me to eat. Put on your apron and wait on me while I eat and drink. You may eat and drink when I am finished.’ Is he grateful to that servant because he did what was commanded? So should it be with you. When you have done all that you have been commanded, say we are unprofitable servants, we have done what we were obliged to do.” The Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ. There is a story about a younger man who was diagnosed with a terminal case of cancer. He wanted to make things right with God and he called the priest over to his home to visit with him. They had a great encounter together. The man went to confession, he was anointed, received the sacrament of healing. He also took some time with the priest to pick out the songs that he wants sung at the funeral and he also took some time to say “These are the scripture passages that I would like people to hear.” They had a great encounter and the priest was just about to leave and all of a sudden the man popped up and said, “Wait, there is one more thing.” The priest said, “What is that?” The man said, “I would like to be buried with a fork in my right hand.” Now the priest was a little bit surprised by this. “What you do mean with a fork in your right hand?” The man said, “You know what I remember some of the best times in my life, Thanksgiving, Easter, birthday parties, maybe socials. Every time when that main course was finished and the plates were getting picked up someone would inevitably lean in and say ‘Keep your fork, keep your fork.” And he said “When I heard that, I always knew that something better was coming. Something good with substance, cheesecake, brownies, tiramisu, you name it. Something good was coming.” And he said “On my funeral when I'm in the casket, when people see that fork, they might ask you ‘What is with the fork?’ And you tell them “The best is yet to come.” The best is yet to come, that is the vision of our readings today. The prophet Habakkuk, we hear of the prophet Habakkuk just once every three years. On these Sundays things are in misery, things are in ruin and then God speaks to Habakkuk and says the vision will come to pass. In time it presses on to fulfillment, it will not disappoint. Perhaps you might look into our hearts and our own lives and we might feel like things are over. We might feel like there is no hope. We might find ourselves carrying a cross, a terminal diagnosis and the message that God gives us today is keep the faith, press on. There might be a prayer that you have been praying and praying and praying, perhaps for a child to return to the faith. Do not give up now, the best is yet to come. Keep the fork. Keep your faith in Jesus Christ. And so when this Mass, we put in all of our burdens, all of our strengths, all of our crosses onto Jesus Christ, knowing that the best is yet to come. That faith and the cross triumphs over everything. -

The Lord be with you. And with your spirit.
A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke. Glory to you, O Lord.
The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.” The Lord replied, “If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you would say to this mulberry tree ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you. Who among you would say to your servant who has just come in from plowing or tending sheep in the field, ‘Come here immediately and take your place at table?’ Would he not rather say to him, ‘Prepare something for me to eat. Put on your apron and wait on me while I eat and drink. You may eat and drink when I am finished.’ Is he grateful to that servant because he did what was commanded? So should it be with you. When you have done all that you have been commanded, say we are unprofitable servants, we have done what we were obliged to do.”
The Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
There is a story about a younger man who was diagnosed with a terminal case of cancer. He wanted to make things right with God and he called the priest over to his home to visit with him. They had a great encounter together. The man went to confession, he was anointed, received the sacrament of healing. He also took some time with the priest to pick out the songs that he wants sung at the funeral and he also took some time to say “These are the scripture passages that I would like people to hear.” They had a great encounter and the priest was just about to leave and all of a sudden the man popped up and said, “Wait, there is one more thing.” The priest said, “What is that?” The man said, “I would like to be buried with a fork in my right hand.” Now the priest was a little bit surprised by this. “What you do mean with a fork in your right hand?” The man said, “You know what I remember some of the best times in my life, Thanksgiving, Easter, birthday parties, maybe socials. Every time when that main course was finished and the plates were getting picked up someone would inevitably lean in and say ‘Keep your fork, keep your fork.” And he said “When I heard that, I always knew that something better was coming. Something good with substance, cheesecake, brownies, tiramisu, you name it. Something good was coming.” And he said “On my funeral when I'm in the casket, when people see that fork, they might ask you ‘What is with the fork?’ And you tell them “The best is yet to come.” The best is yet to come, that is the vision of our readings today. The prophet Habakkuk, we hear of the prophet Habakkuk just once every three years. On these Sundays things are in misery, things are in ruin and then God speaks to Habakkuk and says the vision will come to pass. In time it presses on to fulfillment, it will not disappoint. Perhaps you might look into our hearts and our own lives and we might feel like things are over. We might feel like there is no hope. We might find ourselves carrying a cross, a terminal diagnosis and the message that God gives us today is keep the faith, press on. There might be a prayer that you have been praying and praying and praying, perhaps for a child to return to the faith. Do not give up now, the best is yet to come. Keep the fork. Keep your faith in Jesus Christ. And so when this Mass, we put in all of our burdens, all of our strengths, all of our crosses onto Jesus Christ, knowing that the best is yet to come. That faith and the cross triumphs over everything.

In Revelation 17:1-5, the woman sititng on the beast is a whore or impure church which is filled with filth and has committed spiritual fornication before the Creator. This impure church sits on a beast with seven heads. Who can this beast be? A beast in Bible prophecy is a nation or kingdom (Daniel 7:23). This beast is the Vatican, which is also the first beast in Revelation 13.
This church is arrayed in purple and scarlet pointing to the attire of her cardinals. The seven heads are seven hills on which the impure woman or whore sits on. Rome is known as the city on seven hills. It is within the confines of Rome that we find the Roman church (whore) which sits on the beast (Vatican).
This is the same church that is filled with idols of which the apostle John warns us to stay away from (In 1 John 5:21). Yet, the Vatican papacy deleted God's second commandment from "their" commandments. Accordingly, Roman Catholics are unwittingly committing sin by breaking the second commandment of their Creator, which says:
Exodus 20:4-5 - Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them [...]
Sin is the transgression of the Law of God and sin leads to death (Romans 6:23; 1 John 3:4). Christ does say in John 8:11, "[...] go and sin no more'. So please, don't bow down to or serve idols. It is sin to the eyes of your Creator.

The Lord be with you. And with your spirit.
Proclamation of the Holy Gospel according to Saint Luke. Glory to you O lord.
As Jesus continued his journey to Jerusalem, he traveled through Samaria and Galilee. As he was entering a village, ten lepers met him. They stood at a distance from him and raised their voices saying, “Jesus, Master! Have pity on us.” And when he saw them he said, “Go show yourselves to the priests.” As they were going they were cleansed. And one of them, realizing he had been healed, returned glorifying God in a loud voice and he fell at the feet of Jesus and thanked him. He was a Samaritian. Jesus said in reply “Ten were cleansed, were they not? Where are the other nine? Has none but this foreigner returned to give God thanks?” Then he said to him, “Stand up and go, your faith has saved you.”
The Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
The gospel today, Jesus addresses ten lepers. They come to him seeking help because they are sick. They are cast aside, they are shunned by everyone else and you know there are still lepers in our society today. A few years back a movie was made very popular because of its actors and the subject matter. The actors were Tom Hanks and Denzel Washington. They were in a movie that dealt with present day lepers, those with AIDS. About thirty years ago no one had even heard of AIDS and when it did come to the public light, it was seen as a disease that was inflected on a certain number of people and a certain type of people. Some even said that they were getting what they deserved and some people have used scriptures to ostracize these individuals and justify the fact that they are dying according to God’s will. During Jesus’ time, the religious leaders said that the blind and anyone with any disability was that way because of some sin committed. We know well today that bad things do happen to good people. And we have to understand that our God does not choose people to inflect bad things upon if even Jesus can weep at the death of a loved one, or be moved to compassion because of an illness. Are we, then, any better than him in judging those around us? Let us leave the judging to God Almighty and do what we can to assist our sisters and brothers instead of expending so much energy in judging. God is our help and our salvation. Amen. On page 36 of our booklets we make our profession of faith.
