September 14 2014 ISIS militants captured the town of Kobani. By October 2014 they captured 300 Kurdish towns and villages, displacing some 300,000 Kurds. On January 19th 2015 the YPG and FSA attacked the ISIS held city of Kobani killing 11 ISIS militants and capturing a hill vital to ISIS supply lines. The next day they captured the National Hospital and the southwestern entrance to the city. On January 21st they killed senior ISIS commander Sultan al-Safri al-Harbi the same day 1 peshmerga fighter was killed. January 23rd and 24th, they captured large parts of the northwestern part of the city along with the al-Seena neighborhood, bring 70% of the city under their control. On January 26th they forced remaining ISIS militants out of the city and into the surrounding country side and spent days afterwards sweeping the city for hidden ISIS commanders and recapturing neighboring villages. By January 27th ISIS admitted defeat and vowed to return, although they have redeployed much of their forces to "more important fronts".

Ayn al-Arab
Kobanî (Kurdish: كۆبانی pronounced [koˈbaːniː], also rendered Kobanê [koˈbaːne]), also known as Ayn al-Arab (Arabic: عين العرب North Levantine pronunciation: [ʕeːn elˈʕɑrɑb]), is a city in the Aleppo Governorate in northern Syria, lying immediately south of the border with Turkey. As a consequence of the Syrian Civil War, the city has been under control of the Kurdish YPG militia since 2012. In 2014, it was unofficially declared to be the administrative center of the Kobanî Canton of Rojava.
From September 2014 to January 2015, the city was under siege by Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant. Most of the city was destroyed and most of the population fled to Turkey. In 2015, many returned and reconstruction began.
Prior to the Syrian Civil War, Kobanî was recorded as having a population of close to 45,000. The majority of inhabitants were Kurds, with Arab, Turkmen, and Armenian minorities.

Tens of thousands of Syrian Kurds have crossed into Turkey over the past day, fleeing an advance by Islamic State fighters who have seized dozens of villages close to the border. Turkey opened a stretch of the frontier on Friday after Kurdish civilians fled their homes, fearing an imminent attack on the border town of Ayn al-Arab, known as Kobani in Kurdish. Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmus said "Around 45,000 Syrian Kurds have crossed the border as of now from eight entrance points along a 30-km distance from Akcakale to Mursitpinar since we opened the border yesterday."

Sheikh Saeed Rageah:
Sheikh Saeed Rageah was born in Somalia, raised in Saudi Arabia and in the late 80s found his way to North America. He is married and has four daughters and two sons. He enjoys spending quality time with his family.
He holds a B.A in Islamic studies as well as a Masters in Shari'ah from the Institute of Islamic and Arabic Sciences in Fairfax, Virginia. Over the years, he has held several posts including founder of Masjid Huda in Montreal, Masjid Aya in Maryland, Muslim Youth magazine and the Aqsa Association.
After serving as an imam in Maryland and Calgary, Sheikh Saeed recently moved to Toronto with his family and is currently serving as an Imam at Abu Huraira Islamic Center. He teaches and travels for Al-Maghrib Institute and he also holds the post of Chairman for the Journey of Faith conference.
His other associations include:
• Founder of Oasis magazine
• Founder 'IQ' (Quranic institute). Now it has branches in USA and Canada
• MBA (Muslim Basketball Association)
• Co-founder and the chairman of Journey of Faith Conference -annual conference in Eastern Canada

Beautiful Islamic Nasheed la ilaha illallah Arabic With English Nasheed Tasbih
Talib al-Habib is a vocalist, teacher, author and a Consultant Psychiatrist. He was born in London and grew up in Manchester, before emigrating to South Africa with his family for a ten year stay. It was here that he met his spiritual guide, Shah Ghulam Muhyi ad-Din Kazi, and began traversing the path of traditional Islam - the methodology of uniting the practical, intellectual and experiential facets of religion - under his instruction. He later returned to the UK in early 2002.
All his songs are written with vocal harmonies and daff percussion only. His distinctive style is influenced by the mystical poetry of the Chishti spiritual order, as well as his ten year childhood association with the Manchester Boy’s Choir, where he received vocal and technical training. He began composing spiritual poetry and songs at the age of sixteen, and has continued to do so ever since.
In early 2004, he was encouraged to compile an album of English-language spiritual songs, which culminated in ‘Songs of Innocence,’ an intensely personal journey into the experiential dimensions of Islam. This was followed by Rahma, a collection of nasheeds based around the wisdom of the Blessed Prophet Muhammad (s).
There followed Song of the Wayfarer, in many ways an answer to Songs of Innocence, covering many of the same themes from a different perspective. He has received twenty years of rigorous theological training at the hands of masters of Islamic law and spirituality, and has been granted Ijazat (formal authorization) to instruct students in the arts and sciences of Islamic thought by scholars from four continents.
He is the founder and director of the Islamic Ethics and Global Citizenship Initiative as well as the Path to Salvation course in classical Islamic Studies, one of the largest Muslim grassroots teaching organisations in the UK. He serves on both the professional and scholarly advisory panels of the Centre for Islam and Medicine, as well as in an advisory capacity to a number of community initiatives and charities.
He has authored four books on diverse aspects of Islam, with a focus on spirituality. As a Psychiatrist he has a special interest in Islamic Spirituality and Mental Health. He has delivered lectures on this subject at the Royal College of Psychiatrists, Cardiff University and other locations around the country.
Talib al-Habib is a pen-name given to him by his teacher meaning, ‘seeker of the beloved.’ Currently, he lives in the West Midlands with his wife, two daughters and two cats.

Then, I will take you to Salalah which is also known as the city of Prophets. Here, I will show you the possible grave sites of Prophets Imran, Ayyub, Hood Alaihis Salam. Here, you will also get to see the footprints of the She-Camel of Prophet Saleh Alaihis Salam, the possible site of the palace of Queen Sheeba or Malika Bilqees, and the grave site of Hazrat Aabir Bin Hood Alaihis Salam. I will also show you a gravity hill where one feels anti-gravity forces amd also the Frankincense Trail. From there, I will drive to Muscat area where I will show you various historical places which include Barka Castle, An' Numan Castle, and Nakhal Fort. I will end my trip at the famous Wadi Al'Ain where 3rd millennium BC necropolises of ancient city Bat is found. Enjoy!

Sheikh Saeed Rageah:
Sheikh Saeed Rageah was born in Somalia, raised in Saudi Arabia and in the late 80s found his way to North America. He is married and has four daughters and two sons. He enjoys spending quality time with his family.
He holds a B.A in Islamic studies as well as a Masters in Shari'ah from the Institute of Islamic and Arabic Sciences in Fairfax, Virginia. Over the years, he has held several posts including founder of Masjid Huda in Montreal, Masjid Aya in Maryland, Muslim Youth magazine and the Aqsa Association.
After serving as an imam in Maryland and Calgary, Sheikh Saeed recently moved to Toronto with his family and is currently serving as an Imam at Abu Huraira Islamic Center. He teaches and travels for Al-Maghrib Institute and he also holds the post of Chairman for the Journey of Faith conference.
His other associations include:
• Founder of Oasis magazine
• Founder 'IQ' (Quranic institute). Now it has branches in USA and Canada
• MBA (Muslim Basketball Association)
• Co-founder and the chairman of Journey of Faith Conference -annual conference in Eastern Canada
• Co-Founder of Power of One conference -annual conference in Western Canada
• Founder of Leadership camp for Muslim youth - Fourth year in Western Canada and second in Eastern Canada
• The Director of Ummah Times magazine
• Counselor at University of Calgary
