Based on a raging controversial novel of the 80's CALCUTTA UNABASHED (Bibar) deals with the angst of city youth in calcutta, who are caught between the lures of a new,liberalized society and fast - fading traditional values. Biresh (Subrata Dutta) an invstingating officer in a finance companry is a heart a bohemian with no rigid values in life. In love, he is caught in a psycho-sexual relationship with a high society call girl Nita (Tannishtha Chatterjee). In his office, his position becomes bleak as he refuses a loan to an influential person. He starts drinking heavily and starts visiting Sonagachi the infamous red-light area of Calcutta with his painter friend Hiren (Shiladitya Patranobish). He also gets attracted towards a model. Iti (Payel Sarkar). Biresh, in a bout of self - destruction, Vents his anger and frustration by strangling Nita, and stages his alibi through Iti. The police start investigating, but are unable to establish any motive behind the killing.

The former Test fast bowler stars in Australian-made, Bollywood-themed romantic comedy unINDIAN, which premiered in Sydney on Wednesday and is released around Australia next Thursday, October 15.
The 38-year-old has filmed music video clips, commercials and made brief cameos in television and Bollywood movies before, but the Australian Indian Film Fund movie is his first leading role in a major film.
Lee stars as a typical Aussie who falls in love with a single-mother from an Indian background and explores the layers of Indian cultures within Australia.
The most striking test of Lee’s acting skills comes midway through the film when he films a Sex scene with Bollywood co-star Tannishtha Chatterjee.
Lee said he was nervous leading up to the scene, but credits director Anupam Sharma for making both actors feel comfortable during the slightly awkward act.

Tannishtha Chatterjee is emerging as one of India's leading art house actresses. Her film credits include
Shadows of Time (2004) directed by Oscar winning German director Florian Gallenberger and Swaraj
(2002), for which she gained a National Best Supporting Actress nomination. Other award winning
features which have screened globally are: Let the Wind Blow (2004), an Indo-French venture; Bas Yun
Hi (2003); Strings; Divorce: Not Between Husband and Wife (2005); and Kasturi. Tannishtha's latest
principal role was in Bibar, based on the famous Bengali novel and has so far netted her the Best Actress
awards at Osian's Cinefan and the Bengal Film Journalists Association Awards, 2006.
Short films include True Love, Sirf Filmi Hai and Sala Bandar. Tannishtha trained at the National School
of Drama, New Delhi and has an additional degree in classical Indian vocals from Gandharva
Mahavidyalaya. She was also one of the lead singers in India's first all girl band Teer launched by B4U.

Tannishtha Chatterjee
Tannishtha Chatterjee is an Indian film actress originally from Delhi, India. She is best known in the West for her performance in the British film Brick Lane (2007), the film adaptation of Monica Ali's best selling novel of the same name. She was nominated for the British Independent Film Awards as the best actress for Brick Lane. Her other notables roles have been in Academy Award-winning German director Florian Gallenberger's film, Shadows of Time,Road, Movie with Abhay Deol and Bibar for which she won Best Actress at the 2006 Osian Film Festival and the 2007 BFJA awards.
Early life
Chatterjee was born in Pune, Maharashtra 23 November 1980, to a Bengali Hindu family. Her father was a business executive and her mother was a political science professor. Her family traveled and lived out of the country for some time and then moved to Delhi. She majored in Chemistry at Delhi University and then went to the National School of Drama. Thereafter she worked in India and Europe with well-known theatre directors.

The police start investigating, but are unable to establish any motive behind the killing.

The former Test fast bowler stars in Australian-made, Bollywood-themed romantic comedy unINDIAN, which premiered in Sydney on Wednesday and is released around Australia next Thursday, October 15.
The 38-year-old has filmed music video clips, commercials and made brief cameos in television and Bollywood movies before, but the Australian Indian Film Fund movie is his first leading role in a major film.
Lee stars as a typical Aussie who falls in love with a single-mother from an Indian background and explores the layers of Indian cultures within Australia.
The most striking test of Lee’s acting skills comes midway through the film when he films a Sex scene with Bollywood co-star Tannishtha Chatterjee.
Lee said he was nervous leading up to the scene, but credits director Anupam Sharma for making both actors feel comfortable during the slightly awkward act.

The former Test fast bowler stars in Australian-made, Bollywood-themed romantic comedy unINDIAN, which premiered in Sydney on Wednesday and is released around Australia next Thursday, October 15.
The 38-year-old has filmed music video clips, commercials and made brief cameos in television and Bollywood movies before, but the Australian Indian Film Fund movie is his first leading role in a major film.
Lee stars as a typical Aussie who falls in love with a single-mother from an Indian background and explores the layers of Indian cultures within Australia.
The most striking test of Lee’s acting skills comes midway through the film when he films a Sex scene with Bollywood co-star Tannishtha Chatterjee.
Lee said he was nervous leading up to the scene, but credits director Anupam Sharma for making both actors feel comfortable during the slightly awkward act.

this new world, pining for her home and her sister, she struggles to make sense of her existence -- and to
do her duty to her husband. A man of inflated ideas (and stomach), he sorely tests her compliance.
Told from birth that she must not fight her fate, Nazneen submits, devoting her life to raising her family
and slapping down her demons of discontent. Until the day that Karim, a hot-headed local man, bursts
into her life.
Against a background of escalating racial tension, they embark on an affair that finally forces Nazneen to
take control of her life. Set in multicultural Britain, Brick Lane is a truly contemporary story of love, cultural
difference, and ultimately, the strength of the human spirit.
Tannishtha Chatterjee is emerging as one of India's leading art house actresses. Her film credits include
Shadows of Time (2004) directed by Oscar winning German director Florian Gallenberger and Swaraj
(2002), for which she gained a National Best Supporting Actress nomination. Other award winning
features which have screened globally are: Let the Wind Blow (2004), an Indo-French venture; Bas Yun
Hi (2003); Strings; Divorce: Not Between Husband and Wife (2005); and Kasturi. Tannishtha's latest
principal role was in Bibar, based on the famous Bengali novel and has so far netted her the Best Actress
awards at Osian's Cinefan and the Bengal Film Journalists Association Awards, 2006.
Short films include True Love, Sirf Filmi Hai and Sala Bandar. Tannishtha trained at the National School
of Drama, New Delhi and has an additional degree in classical Indian vocals from Gandharva
Mahavidyalaya. She was also one of the lead singers in India's first all girl band Teer launched by B4U.
