Meissen is sometimes known as the "cradle of Saxony". The city grew out of the early Slavic settlement of Mis(s)ni, named for the small river Mis(s)na today Meis(s)abach (see Miesbach/Musbach/Mosbach), inhabited by the Slavic Glomacze tribe and was founded as a German town by King Henry the Fowler in 929. In 968, the Diocese of Meissen was founded, and Meissen became the episcopal see of a bishop. The Catholic bishopric was suppressed in 1581 after the diocese accepted the Protestant Reformation (1559), but re-created in 1921 with its seat first at Bautzen and now at the Katholische Hofkirche in Dresden.
To see any advances in Europe's efforts to produce true hard paste porcelain in the eighteenth century, it would require bringing together three amazing individuals, who seemingly had nothing in common. Find out more www.thecultureconcept.com/circle

Travel video about destination Dresden. Dresden is the capital of the German Free State of Saxony and a major centre of culture with a remarkable history. Although almost completely destroyed at the end of the Second World War and for many years hidden behind the Iron Curtain, today the city shines out in all of its former splendour. As a centre of art and science, Dresden Castle contains a number of collections that are well known throughout the world and draw international visitors to this most ambitiously-conceived and successful project. Close by, the stable courtyard is the world's oldest original Tournament Arena of its kind. The Tuscan-arched arcades originated in the Renaissance period and were used by spectators during various tournaments and entertainments. Count Brühl, a foll...
"Chill Out Aerial" video of the Dom zu Meissen and the Albrechtsburg. A masterpiece of Gothic art in a town that looks back on more than 1,000 years of history. Straddling the Elbe around 25km upstream from Dresden, Meissen has become famous all over the world for its porcelain, which features the mark of the blue crossed swords. Meissen’s dome, a high-Gothic masterpiece begun in 1250, does not impress as much by its size as by the wealth of its interior decorations. I've got your calling card and it says don't call at
all.
All in all I've got no one and nobody gots me.
And due to excessive shoe loss,
yeah, they're falling off, they're falling off.
Without further adieu, I'm-a stop it all with signs and
everything and all.
If you didn't want to be here you shouldn't have come
at all.
WE'RE GONNA HAVE A BALL.
And if you don't come it's your loss.
Shake it from side to side.
This is Mexico and from here on out it's a no holds
barred.
See he's already in.
I've lost all momentum to attempt to have half of a
conversation with you.
But this is nothing new.
But this is nothing.
You're the worst thing that's happened to me and if I
was lying maybe we could agree to disagree.
"We're not working out"...
"I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I
know..."
Abrupt pause. "I know." ,
"I'll walk you out"... I'm on my way right now. We've
got to find that horse.
Well, let's go, where's your seatbelt? Let's grow, mi
dos.
Grow up? I've neglected to mention there's a hole in my
boat, we're not going anywhere.
You're still on mute, I'm a mime.
They call me Luke, It's short for Leukemia.
You keep getting louder.
I'm not accusing you, I'm just saying It's all your
fault.
You put the 'cool' in alcohol, and I've lost all
momentum to try to speak to you.
Alas, my fingers hurt from snapping, so, you better
stay on beat.
I'm lost and you know exactly where to find me, on and
on ...so wrong.
Silly girl, tricks are for kids, where's your tricks
now?
