October 7 2016 saw a mighty clash between Mollywood superstars Mohanlal and Mammootty after 15 years. Fans were waiting to know, who would emerge a winner at the box office. On day 2 as per reports the film has crossed 7 crore and now reports state, it has crossed the 10 crore mark in 3 days. As for Thoppil Joppan, the movie has collected Rs 4.75 crore. So as of now, Pulimurugan is winning. History repeats itself as even in 2001, it was Mohanlal’s film that had emerged a winner. The best part, while PuliMurugan has just hit screens, it’s also competing with Lal sir’s previous movie Oppam that is still running in theatres. So far the movie has collected Rs 29 crore in 21 days. So it’s like a battle between Pulimrurgan and Oppam now. But at the end of the day, it’s a win win for the Malayalam superstar.
