19-11-2016 Demo – Fight Repression! Stop repression against anti-fascists and anarchists! (Netherlands)

19-11-2016 Demonstration: Fight Repression! Stop repression against anti-fascists and anarchists!

On Saturday November 19th, there will be a demonstration in The Hague, The Netherlands, against the wave of repression that Hague anti-fascists and anarchists have been facing in the last year. One who attacks one of us, attacks all of us. Solidarity through struggle!

Within the last year, repression against anti-fascists and anarchists has greatly increased, with The Hague in the middle of it. An area ban for anarchists was issued for the Schilderswijk, in an attempt to break the struggle against the racist, violent, and murderous police. After that that, another area ban was issued, this time against anti-fascists who have been resisting against the extreme right wing Pegida demonstrations. Damage claims of 50,000 euro were demanded from several anarchists who resisted against the eviction of social center De Vloek, which had been squatted for 13 years. The mayor also tried to shutter the local Autonomous Center. Furthermore, subsequent demonstrations were forbidden, people were intimidated by the police at home and on the street, numerous preventative arrests were made, and attempts were made to recruit informants.

But these are not just attacks against individual anarchists and anti-fascists. This is an attack against all who fight against racism, this is an attack against all who stand for a world without exploitation and discrimination, this is an attack on all of us. And this attack cannot go unanswered! This is a call for solidarity, because solidarity is our weapon against the isolation being forced on us by the police and the mayor. We must defend our autonomous spaces and structures!

Come to The Hague on November 19th. Because the chains of the state dripping with racism and oppression must be broken! Because one who doesn’t fight has already lost.

Fight repression!

Basel: Wild Demonstration and the Arrests (Switzerland)

Friday, August 5th, 2016

On Friday, 24 June 2016 there was a small, but wild demonstration against racism, repression, and gentrification in Basel, Switzerland that attacked various buildings and the police. Basel’s criminal court, a private security company, the party office of the right-wing SVP, and an insurance company were among the buildings attacked. 14 people were subsequently arrested, accused of taking part. 2 people were injured during the arrests.

They were originally accused of disturbing the peace, property damage, violence and threats against authorities and officers, and assault.

That weekend, there were various house searches in multiple cities across
Switzerland in the context of this case.

7 people were released on Sunday, 26 June, and the following seven were sentenced to between 2 and 6 weeks of pre-trial detention. Some of the imprisoned would have already been released by now, but have been sentenced to more time in pre-trial detention. The others may face a longer detention, as well. (more…)

Report: Burst the dreams of investors – Defend Rigaer 94 (Germany)

Tuesday, July 12th, 2016

Before the demonstration the media and lots of politicians were nervous and expected a violent event on top of almost three weeks of actions in solidarity with Rigaer 94. For that they ordered 1800 cops from different parts of Germany.

The demonstration started almost on time at 21:15 at Wismarplatz in Friedrichshain with about 6000 people, after a manifestation of 45 minutes took place, where the speaker read some writings about the situation in the neighborhood these days. The first two lines were built by civil cops in yellow vests and after some cop cars before the real demonstration was visible. In the front they were holding lot’s of banners and signs. In the end it looked still organized and seemed to be a big beautiful black block.

When the demonstration reached Frankfurter Allee, the first big street, two cop cars were attacked with stones. People were showing their solidarity with fireworks and banner from the rooftop. (more…)

Bloomington, Indiana: Noise demonstration at the local jail (USA)

Tuesday, July 5th, 2016

On the night of July 4th, a small group of individuals had a noise demonstration at the local jail. We shouted to those held captive, lit off fireworks and smoke bombs, and scattered hundreds of leaflets.

There is no point in waiting until there are enough people, until the time is right: you will be waiting forever. Small, modest actions are the necessary groundwork for revolt. You do not need great numbers to do meaningful things.

Text from the leaflet:

FREEDOM NOW!
FIRE TO EVERY PRISON CELL & BORDER WALL!
DEATH TO THE STATE!

Solidarity with those in revolt behind prison walls.
Solidarity with anarchist prisoner Eric King.
Prisons cannot stop anarchy.
War against power.

Call out from housing projects in Nordkiez, Friedrichshain, Berlin: Defend R94! Destroy the Investor’s Paradise! (Germany)

Friday, July 1st, 2016

Call out from Housing projects in Nordkiez, Friedrichshain, Berlin: Defend Rigaer 94! Destroy the Investor’s Paradise!

On the 17th of June, we published the first call out for the 9th July neighbourhood demo “Destroy the Investor’s Paradise, Stop Carré Sama-Rigaer!”, 5 days later the landlord, cops, and Senate cooperated in the storming of the house project Rigaer 94. The cops, private security and labourers evicted the autonomous collective space “Kadterschmiede”, the rest of the ground floor, including a workshop and garden, the attic in the back house and also the squatted attic in the front house.

John Dehwurst, who bought the house at the end of 2014, took the responsibility for this attack through a hypocritical press release from the fictitious building management. It was claimed that the evicted parts of the house would be used as living space for refugees. This would mean that the people moving in would find themselves under constant surveillance by the cops and security. At the moment such people are able to live in Rigaer 94 in self determined and supportive structures. We take this propaganda as an attempt to destroy structures of resistance by cynically playing different groups off against each other. The AfD, NPD and Co. are rubbing their hands in glee at the argumentation from the South African apartheid-regime lawyer Dehwurst and the ‘Law and Order’ politics of justice minister Frank Henkel. Solidarity with John Bowden in court Friday 24th June – Call-out for Solidarity Demo/Banner drops (UK)

Thursday, June 23rd, 2016

Solidarity with John Bowden – Long time prison resister and anti-authoritarian.

Show your support for John Bowden, a vocal writer and critic of the system we all live under, who is in Greenock Sheriff Court in Scotland, on Friday 24th June, after being accused of assault on a prison guard.

Throughout the 1980’s and 90’s, John Bowden was at the forefront of the British prison struggle, leading and being involved in serious acts of resistance against the prison system, and was deeply politicised by the experience. Viewed by most prison staff as a committed and dangerous “trouble-maker”, John was often brutally punished, suffering years of brutality and prolonged solitary confinement. He has been victimised, in one way or another, ever since.

In June of last year, after hearing the evidence of an independent psychologist, the Parole Board decided that after 30 years in prison, John Bowden represented no real risk or danger to the community, and like the two men originally imprisoned with him in 1982, who were released almost 20 years ago, he should now be returned to that community. 21 July – London demo against the brutal Close Supervision Centres – Letter by Kevan Thakrar (UK)

Tuesday, May 31st, 2016

From a comrade of ABC Brighton:

A secret world exists within the high security prison estate in England, known as the Close Supervision Centre (CSC) system. The dehumanisation of CSC prisoners begins at a very early stage, in the official justification for the creation of the CSC system, which focuses on the need to contain a new breed of unmanageable and unpredictable risks. It continues with the creation of classificatory categories of ‘dangerousness’ which objectify prisoners and make more of the category and less of the human in them, and it is reinforced by the tightly controlled and highly regulated routines.

In addition to isolation and extremely restricted movements, prisoners’ in-cell belongings are carefully regulated and subjected to relentless scrutiny and inspection. (more…)

Come and fight nazis in Dover and Brighton (UK)

Friday, May 27th, 2016

From Rabble: Fascist scum are attempting get-togethers in the coming weeks in the seaside towns of Dover and Brighton. On Saturday 28 May, neonazis are planning not just another daytime stumble around Dover town, but also a Blood and Honour gig in the evening. The weekend after, on 4 June, there is a planned march by the “South Coast Resistance” in Brighton. See anti-fascist call-outs below for further details. May they drown in the seas of their own tears.

No Nazis in Dover – oppose the Nazi South East Alliance and Blood and Honour gig – Saturday 28 May, Dover

From Kent Anti-Racism Network

The Nazi South East Alliance are coming to Dover on 28 May to spread their message of hate towards refugees, people of colour, LGBTQ people, Muslims, Jews and other minorities. Their world view envisages an all-white Britain. They plan to hold a demonstration in Dover during the day and hold a Rock Against Immigration (Blood and Honour) – Nazi gig in the evening. Blood and Honour is a Combat 18 organisation – whose rallying cry is ‘Aryan Unity’.They have been involved in murder, gun-running and terrorism. Despite the South East Alliance claiming they’re coming to Dover for ‘ordinary people’ they are instead aiming to promote an extremely violent Nazi programme – similar to the murderous policies of Hitler.

During World War Two, the Nazis exterminated millions of Jews. Many more millions lost their lives fighting to keep the world free from fascism. This is the tradition that the South East Alliance and Combat 18 stand in. (more…)

7 May : Transnational Day of Solidarity with People in Detention + Protest against Detention Centres

Tuesday, April 26th, 2016

The last few years have seen an immense rise in protests inside and outside of detention centres. On Saturday May 7th, simultaneous demonstrations will be held around the UK and beyond, to protest against the existence of immigration detention centres and show solidarity with the 30,000 adults and children who are being detained against their will under the Immigration Act every year in the UK – without judicial oversight, a time limit, or adequate access to legal support, translation, and healthcare. We will come together with people inside detention to demand the closure of all detention centres and an end to border and migration controls!

May 7th is part of a wider transnational campaign to shut down detention centres and end the inherently abusive and violent system of immigration detention that criminalises, detains, and imprisons people simply because they have chosen or been forced to migrate. Actions also take place in solidarity with wider struggles against borders and migration controls and with people who are living in detention without walls, from Calais to Idomeni. So far actions have been planned across the UK and in The Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and Iceland. (more…)

Letters from Kevan Thakrar from the isolation units of England (UK)

Monday, April 18th, 2016

From a comrade of ABC Brighton:

March 17

A secret world exists within the high security prison estate in England, known as the Close Supervision Centre (CSC) system. It is notorious amongst the few who know of it, a place only the most unfortunate men ever see. Reports of serious mistreatment and torture are routine from the victims detained within the CSC, but almost nothing is ever done about the biggest demonstration of inhumanity to take place in this country.

In order to excuse this torture chamber, the dehumanization of CSC prisoners begins at a very early stage of official justifications for the creation of the CSC system, which focus on the need to contain a new breed of unmanageable and unpredictable risks. It continues with the creation of classificatory categories of ‘dangerousness’ which objectify prisoners and make more of the category and less of the human in them, and it is reinforced by the tightly controlled and highly regulated routines in CSC’s, treating prisoners as highly dangerous creatures, capable of superhuman acts of violence – not quite human and in need of the extreme oppression the CSC provides.

When it comes to the ‘worst of the worst’, isolation is wrongly seen as a necessity but insufficient measure by prison management. In addition to isolation and extremely restricted movements, prisoner in-cell provisions and their belongings are carefully regulated and subjected to relentless scrutiny and inspection. (more…)

No “Day of the German Future” on 4th of June 2016 – Let’s unite to block & sabotage! (Germany)

Monday, April 18th, 2016

“Day of the German Future” in Dortmund? Let’s unite to block, sabotage and prevent the neo-Nazis from marching!

On the 4th of June 2016 neo-Nazis are about to march in the streets of Dortmund. Since 2009 the annual “Day of the German Future” rallies have become one of Germany’s most important neo-Nazi events. The local neo-Nazis of Dortmund’s far-right party “Die Rechte” want to bring the annual event to Dortmund for the first time.

What’s all this about?

The “Day of the German future” rallies are set around the far-right narrative of ‘native’ Germans dying out and being replaced by migrants and refugees. This narrative views Germany as an entity that existed for millenias with natural borders and as a fixed and ‘pure’ national and ethnic community. In other words: It’s the core ideology of national socialism with a slightly more timely wording.

What’s the deal with Dortmund and the far-right?

Dortmund has been a stronghold of neo-Nazi groups since the 1980. Over the years, the city has seen various neo-Nazi groups ranging from hooligan gangs to legalistic far-right parties. At the moment, the small neo-Nazi party “Die Rechte” (The Right) is the dominant far-right group in the city and region. Even though the party won a seat in the city council at the last communal elections, they could not be further away from a genuine interest in democratic processes. On the contrary, the party’s origins are in a number of radical and partly militant neo-Nazi groups. They have a history of violence against antifascists, migrants and people of colour. Their activity in the last years is heavily focused on migrant and refugee issues. They protest against refugee centres and camps throughout the city and spread their racist hate.

Amongst the broad variety of racist, antisemitic far-right groups and parties in Germany, “Die Rechte” is about as radical and openly in line with historical national socialism as it gets.

What can we expect on the neo-Nazi’s side?

The neo-Nazis want to march in the northern part of Dortmunds city centre – the “Nordstadt”. Being an old working class neighbourhood, more than 50% of its inhabitants today are either migrants themselves of have a migration background in their families. In earlier years, the neighbourhood has also been the site of a number of big neo-Nazi protests with far bigger counter protests.

We expect the neo-Nazi rally in June to be one of the biggest explicitly neo-Nazi marches this year. The “Day of the German Future” rallies in other cities have seen between 200 and 600 neo-Nazis so far since 2009.

Who are we?

We are a group of people who came together to block and sabotage the so called “Day of the German Future” and stop the neo-Nazis from marching. We are autonomous antifascists and cooperate with other local antifascist groups and alliances. Of course we do not only want to address local players but individuals and groups throughout Germany and Europe to join us in the activities against the “Day of the German Future” in Dortmund.

What do we want?

We want to stop the neo-Nazis from marching! We don’t get into the blame game: The door for a peaceful blockade oftentimes only opens up because of militant tactics destabilising the police operations. We are in solidarity with everyone acting against the Nazi rally in a meaningful and purposeful way. Let’s unite in Dortmund to prevent one of the last remaining big neo-Nazi events in Germany from happening.

Block, sabotage and prevent Nazi rallies!
For solidarity and emancipation without borders!
No future for Germany!
