Grayson Hart (born 19 June 1988 in Kaitaia, New Zealand) is a professional rugby union player for the NSW Waratahs in the Super Rugby competition. His usual position is half-back and he previously played for the Blues.
Grayson made his debut for Auckland in the 2007 Air New Zealand Cup as a 19-year-old and made 13 appearances for a team that went undefeated during the season, won the Air New Zealand Cup and reclaimed the Ranfurly Shield from Canterbury.
Hart was a key member of the New Zealand Under 20 team which won the inaugural IRB Junior World Championship in 2008 in Wales, scoring a try against Ireland in the process. At the end of 2008 he played in an All Blacks practice match against the New Zealand Barbarians side.
Hart made his Super Rugby debut for the Blues against the Bulls in Round 2 of 2009, he then went on to appear in 7 Super 14 matches that season. At 20 years old, he was and still is the youngest halfback ever to play for the Blues at Super Rugby level.
He is eligible to play internationally for New Zealand through birth, Australia through his paternal Grandmother and Scotland through his maternal Grandmother.
Stewart Edward "Stu" Hart, CM (May 3, 1915 – October 16, 2003) was a Canadian amateur wrestler, professional wrestler, promoter and trainer. Hart founded Stampede Wrestling, a promotion based in Calgary, Alberta and associated wrestling school "The Dungeon." The patriarch of the Hart wrestling family, Stu was the father of many wrestlers, most notably Bret and Owen Hart. Along with Bret and Owen, Hart's trainees included future world champions Chris Jericho, Edge, Christian, Mark Henry, and Chris Benoit.
Hart played football for the Edmonton Eskimos in the 1938 and 1939 seasons. Stu Hart began amateur wrestling when he joined the YMCA in Edmonton in 1929. By 1937 he won a gold medal in the welterweight class from the Amateur Athletic Union of Canada. His amateur career peaked in May 1940 when Hart won the Dominion Amateur Wrestling Championship in the light heavyweight category. It must have been a bittersweet win for Hart as by that time the Phoney War had ended in Europe, and World War II had erupted. This led to the cancellation of the Olympics ending one of Hart's greatest dreams. Hart did enlist in the Canadian Navy and served as the Director of Athletics.
Patrick Richard Lam (born 29 September 1968 in Auckland) is a former New Zealand rugby union footballer, of Samoan descent. He was the head coach of Auckland from 2004-2008 before being appointed head coach of Super Rugby team the Blues in 2009. He also coached the Pacific Islanders in 2006 and was assistant coach for Scotland in 2003. He went to St. Peter's College, Epsom, and captained the New Zealand Secondary Schools rugby team. He played at loose forward for Auckland, North Harbour and Crusaders, before moving to England where he played for Newcastle Falcons and Northampton Saints. He also captained Manu Samoa and briefly represented New Zealand.
James 'Jimmy' Gopperth (born 29 June 1983 in New Plymouth, New Zealand) is a rugby union player who plays for Newcastle Falcons in the Aviva Premiership. His position is first five-eighth and he played previously for the Hurricanes and Blues in the Super 14 and the Junior All Blacks. Gopperth has also played for Old Boys University in the Wellington premier competition and also played with distinction for New Plymouth Boys' High School at school level prior to moving to Wellington. Gopperth signed for current club, Newcastle Falcons in the summer of 2009 on a three year deal with the Guinness Premiership side, which he joined at the end of 2009r.
Gopperth was born in New Plymouth and first played rugby for New Plymouth Boys' High School, before having his first break in the game and playing for the Old Boys University in the Wellington premier competition. Then, in 2004 at the age of 21, Gopperth signed for the then Super 12 team Hurricanes.
Gopperth made a good start to his career with the Hurricanes when he made 12 appearances in the 2004/2005 Super 12 season. All of his appearances during that season came from starting the game and he managed to score an impressive 139 points, scoring 3 tries in the process.
Greig Tonks (born 20 May 1989) is an English rugby union center/fullback who plays for Northampton Saints – educated at Nottingham High School. He formerly played for Leicester Tigers, whom he joined aged 16. He took part in the England Under-18s tour of Australia.
Tonks has represented England at under-16 and under-18 level, and was selected for the England Under-20s squad for the 2008 Six Nations Championship. In May 2010 it was announced that Tonks had signed for the Northampton Saints. Tonks made his debut for Northampton Saints starting their heineken cup match against edinburgh at fullback.
He played for Newark Rugby club in Nottinghamshire before being signed for Leicester and has spent long periods on loan at Nottingham Rugby.
Tonks has agreed a move to Edinburgh rugby on 28 February 2012
