1984 was written over 60 years ago in 1948. It portrays a stunningly accurate and frightening picture of where we are potentially heading as a global society. Despite being released as fiction, and despite the books title, its it was almost certainly based on a vision of the future that is planned, not for 1984, but for a few years later. The year 1984 was used symbolically and is significant to Orwell's secret society connection as I will explain. George Orwell (real name Eric Blair) was educated at Eton College, a well known Illuminati education center - it has produced 19 British Prime Ministers including David Cameron. While at Eton, Orwell was taught French by Aldous Huxley, it was here they became life long friends. Huxley, who was also the author of another interesting book, 'Brave New World ', introduced Orwell to the Fabian society. The Fabian society is a secret society at its core, although anyone can join, like all of these societies there are many levels of initiation (such as with the Freemasons), meaning the majority of people involved in the organization have no idea of the true agenda and carry out their roles creating a front for the fraud at the heart of the organization. The Fabian Society has been instrumental in the global fascist agenda. Nineteen Eighty-Four (mostly written 1984) is a 1948 dystopian fiction written
by George Orwell (Eric Arthur Blair), about a society ruled by an oligarchical
dictatorship. The Oceanian province of Airstrip One is a world of perpetual war,
pervasive government surveillance, and incessant public mind control. Oceania is
ruled by a political party called simply The Party. The individual is always
subordinated to the state, and it is in part this philosophy which allows the
Party to manipulate and control humanity. In the Ministry of Truth, protagonist
Winston Smith is a civil servant responsible for perpetuating the Party's
propaganda by revising historical records to render the Party omniscient and
always correct, yet his meager existence disillusions him to the point of
seeking rebellion against Big Brother.
Many people often draw parallels between our modern reality and Orwell's vision.

UNITED SIKHS will premiere tonight (24th June 2014) on Sangat TV the first episode of a three-part documentary series 'Unheard Voices', which tells the story of how Sikhs continue their 30-year wait for justice for the thousands of innocent pilgrims who were killed by the Indian Army and for the restitution of the Sikh Reference Library, whose contents were removed before it was burnt by the Army during the attack on the Darbar Sahib (Golden Temple) Complex. This massacre of pilgrims took place during the Indian Army attack, codenamed Blue Star, on Darbar Sahib from the 1st of June to the 6th of June 1984, killing thousands whilst desecrating the sanctum sanctorum of Sikhs.
The first episode, 'The Smoking Gun Recovered', presents eyewitness accounts of how the contents of the Sikh Reference Library, which was located in the Darbar Sahib complex and which held the invaluable heritage of the Sikhs, were removed by the Indian Army before it was burnt during the June 1984 attack. The Library housed historical saroops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the eternal Sikh Guru, one of which was dated 1604,
In 1991, the Government of India, under pressure from Sikhs for the return of their heritage, returned some 29 books, which included four original Accession Registers that were a catalogue of the Library's contents. The Registers were the 'smoking gun' that proved that the Library's contents, including the Saroops of Guru Grant Sahib Ji, were removed by the Indian Government before the Library was burnt. Despite a Punjab and Haryana High Court order in 2004, the Indian Government has failed to return the contents of the Library. Upon hearing a news report declaring the Oceanian army's utter rout of the enemy (Eurasian)'s forces in North Africa, Winston looks at the still image of Big Brother that appears on the telescreen, then turns away and almost silently says "I love you" - a phrase that he and Julia repeatedly used during their relationship, indicating the possibility that he still loves Julia. However, he could also be declaring his love for Big Brother instead. The novel unambiguously ends with the words: "He loved Big Brother," whereas the movie seems to deliberately allow for either interpretation. Earlier, during Winston's conversation with Julia in the rented room, he stated that "if they can make me change my feelings, they can stop me from loving you, that would be real betrayal". In the final scene, the "real betrayal" has therefore either been committed or averted, depending on whether the "you" that Winston loves is Big Brother or Julia.

George Orwell
Eric Arthur Blair (25 June 1903 – 21 January 1950), who used the pen name George Orwell, was an English novelist, essayist, journalist and critic. His work is marked by lucid prose, awareness of social injustice, opposition to totalitarianism, and outspoken support of democratic socialism.
Orwell wrote literary criticism, poetry, fiction, and polemical journalism. He is perhaps best known for his dystopian novel Nineteen Eighty-Four (1949) and the allegorical novella Animal Farm (1945). His non-fiction works, including The Road to Wigan Pier (1937), documenting his experience of working class life in the north of England, and Homage to Catalonia (1938), an account of his experiences in the Spanish Civil War, are widely acclaimed, as are his essays on politics, literature, language, and culture. In 2008, The Times ranked him second on a list of "The 50 greatest British writers since 1945".
Orwell's work continues to influence popular and political culture, and the term Orwellian—descriptive of totalitarian or authoritarian social practices—has entered the language together with many of his neologisms, including, but not limited to, cold war, Big Brother, Thought Police, Room 101, memory hole, newspeak, doublethink, and thoughtcrime.

From the DVD release of the 1984 version. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Upon hearing a news report declaring the Oceanian army's utter rout of the enemy (Eurasian)'s forces in North Africa, Winston looks at the still image of Big Brother that appears on the telescreen, then turns away and almost silently says "I love you" - a phrase that he and Julia repeatedly used during their relationship, indicating the possibility that he still loves Julia. However, he could also be declaring his love for Big Brother instead. The novel unambiguously ends with the words: "He loved Big Brother," whereas the movie seems to deliberately allow for either interpretation. Earlier, during Winston's conversation with Julia in the rented room, he stated that "if they can make me change my feelings, they can stop me from loving you, that would be real betrayal". Winston Smith is a civil servant responsible for perpetuating the Party's
propaganda by revising historical records to render the Party omniscient and
always correct, yet his meager existence disillusions him to the point of
seeking rebellion against Big Brother.

UNITED SIKHS will premiere tonight (24th June 2014) on Sangat TV the first episode of a three-part documentary series 'Unheard Voices', which tells the story of how Sikhs continue their 30-year wait for justice for the thousands of innocent pilgrims who were killed by the Indian Army and for the restitution of the Sikh Reference Library, whose contents were removed before it was burnt by the Army during the attack on the Darbar Sahib (Golden Temple) Complex. This massacre of pilgrims took place during the Indian Army attack, codenamed Blue Star, on Darbar Sahib from the 1st of June to the 6th of June 1984, killing thousands whilst desecrating the sanctum sanctorum of Sikhs.
The first episode, 'The Smoking Gun Recovered', presents eyewitness accounts of how the contents of the Sikh Reference Library, which was located in the Darbar Sahib complex and which held the invaluable heritage of the Sikhs, were removed by the Indian Army before it was burnt during the June 1984 attack. The Library housed historical saroops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the eternal Sikh Guru, one of which was dated 1604,
In 1991, the Government of India, under pressure from Sikhs for the return of their heritage, returned some 29 books, which included four original Accession Registers that were a catalogue of the Library's contents. The Registers were the 'smoking gun' that proved that the Library's contents, including the Saroops of Guru Grant Sahib Ji, were removed by the Indian Government before the Library was burnt. Despite a Punjab and Haryana High Court order in 2004, the Indian Government has failed to return the contents of the Library. Upon hearing a news report declaring the Oceanian army's utter rout of the enemy (Eurasian)'s forces in North Africa, Winston looks at the still image of Big Brother that appears on the telescreen, then turns away and almost silently says "I love you" - a phrase that he and Julia repeatedly used during their relationship, indicating the possibility that he still loves Julia. However, he could also be declaring his love for Big Brother instead. The novel unambiguously ends with the words: "He loved Big Brother," whereas the movie seems to deliberately allow for either interpretation. Earlier, during Winston's conversation with Julia in the rented room, he stated that "if they can make me change my feelings, they can stop me from loving you, that would be real betrayal". In the final scene, the "real betrayal" has therefore either been committed or averted, depending on whether the "you" that Winston loves is Big Brother or Julia.

Orwell's 1984 (1956) The best one.
The classic, 1956 film version of Orwell's, 1984. Colorized and tinted to enhance the dark expressionism. Wikipedia says this was the least favored version of the film, but those who saw it when they were young can never forget it. For me the others are pale or soft, by comparison. This version was criticized for political reasons that frankly make no sense. Orwell was a once-socialist that like many people became disenchanted with the co called Communist movement. I have not verified this but it is said there was an alternate ending that changes the ending in the book. The version here, is true to the book in the important places and was the version shown on TV. In the later fifties and early 60's it was shown on the Million Dollar Movie in NYC for a week at a time on WOR Cha...
