The easiest and most relaxing way to discover the Baltic region of Europe is, of course, to embark on one of the many cruise ships that sail from Copenhagen to Helsinki. This is the solution for all. This is the way for reaching our tomorrow. This is the way leading our younger generation to future. It is our role to take the nation to a future we are not ashamed of.
The strength of a nation is measured by the determination of its people to fend for the national interests. I therefore urge you, Lithuanians, Latvians, and Estonians, to never stop in midway! Let us continue to create our future, let us be resolute masters of our own destiny, let us consolidate our states for the benefit of generations to come!

Baltic states
The Baltic states, also known as the Baltics, Baltic nations or Baltic countries (Estonian: Balti riigid, Baltimaad, Latvian: Baltijas valstis, Lithuanian: Baltijos valstybės), are the three countries in northern Europe on the eastern coast of the Baltic Sea: Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. The Baltic states cooperate on a regional level in several intergovernmental organizations.
While the indigenous populations of Latvia and Lithuania are known as Baltic people, those of Estonia are Finnic people. Another Baltic identity, Baltic German, began to develop during the Middle Ages after the Livonian Crusade.
Linguistic and historical considerations intersect in defining the concept of "Baltic states": for example, while Latvian is phylogenetically related to Lithuanian (both belonging to the Baltic group of the Indo-European language family) Estonian belongs to a completely different family – the Uralic languages. At the same time, despite considerable linguistic proximity, politically Latvia and Lithuania have gone different ways for most of their history, Lithuania at one point forming a commonwealth with Poland, giving rise to one of the largest countries in Europe at the time; while Latvia has shared most of its history with Estonia, both being governed by a Baltic German élite for more than 700 years. The Livonians (a nearly extinct ethnic group closely related to Estonians) have also participated in the ethnogenesis of Latvians: according to most accounts, the assimilation of (Uralic) Livonians by ancient (Indo-European) Baltic tribes formed the basis of what are today known as the Latvian language and Latvians.

Europe and the United States are "embarrassingly" unprepared for Russian aggression, claimed General Petr Pavel.The warning comes amid concerns the Russian president is massing military firepower and troops close to the Ukrainian border. Today Putin banned revealing information about troop deaths in "special operations" during peacetime, as the Kremlin continues to rebuff accusations its soldiers are fighting in Ukraine.
Czech general Pavel, next chairman of the NATO Military Committee, issued a warning to Western leaders expressing his concern they are not ready for military action by Putin.
He said: "Russia could seize the Baltic countries in two days. "NATO wouldn't be able to react to the situation in that time." The Alliance would be forced to "weigh its positions regarding whether it would start a war - maybe even a nuclear war - against Russia for the Baltic states," he said. Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia were all incorporated into the USSR by Stalin in June 1940, but are now members of NATO and the EU. Over the weekend, Russian President Vladimir Putin admitted on TV that he was ready to use Russia’s nuclear weapons in order to fight for the Crimean peninsula in Ukraine. Wladimir Klitschko is claiming that Putin could ignite World War 3 by flouting international law.In a related report by the Inquisitr, not everyone is blaming Russia for WW3 fears. Europe and the United States are "embarrassingly" unprepared for Russian aggression, claimed General Petr Pavel.The warning comes amid concerns the Russian president is massing military firepower and troops close to the Ukrainian border. Today Putin banned revealing information about troop deaths in "special operations" during peacetime, as the Kremlin continues to rebuff accusations its soldiers are fighting in Ukraine.
Czech general Pavel, next chairman of the NATO Military Committee, issued a warning to Western leaders expressing his concern they are not ready for military action by Putin.
He said: "Russia could seize the Baltic countries in two days. "NATO wouldn't be able to react to the situation in that time." The Alliance would be forced to "weigh its positions regarding whether it would start a war - maybe even a nuclear war - against Russia for the Baltic states," he said. Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia were all incorporated into the USSR by Stalin in June 1940, but are now members of NATO and the EU. Over the weekend, Russian President Vladimir Putin admitted on TV that he was ready to use Russia’s nuclear weapons in order to fight for the Crimean peninsula in Ukraine. Wladimir Klitschko is claiming that Putin could ignite World War 3 by flouting international law.In a related report by the Inquisitr, not everyone is blaming Russia for WW3 fears. Ron Paul claims U.S. intervention in Ukraine by the Obama administration is responsible for the World War 3 fears, and one U.S. Navy SEAL claims an “unconventional” World War 3 already began due to a “lack of forward thinking” by U.S. officials.Against the warnings of the United States and NATO, Vladimir Putin ordered the military to move Russia’s nuclear weapons into Crimea.
