Northern Croatia has a temperate continental climate whereas the central and upland regions have a mountainous climate. The entire Adriatic coast has a pleasant Mediterranean climate. Spring and autumn are mild along the coast, while winter is cold and snowy in central and northern regions. The average temperature inland in January ranges from -10° to 5°C and in August, from 19° to 39°C. The average temperature at the seaside is higher: in January, from 6°C to 11°C and in August from 21°C to 39°C.
Terrain

Geographically diverse; flat agricultural plains along the Hungarian border (Central European area), low mountains and highlands near the Adriatic coastline and islands. There are 1,246 islands; the largest ones are Krk and Cres. The highest point is Dinara, at 1,830m.

Half of Slovenia's colorful area is covered by forests, but the country also has another part, a tiny, but very nice coastal area on the Adriatic Sea, with such venetian style cities as Izola, Piran and Portoroz, as well as 2,800 meters high mountains and ski resorts.
The picturesque lakes Bled and Bohinj both lie in a wonderful landscape. The gem of the karstic area is the Postojna cave.
The tiny country has plenty of wild rivers suitable for rafting and healing waters. Golf, mountineering, diving, mountain biking and rock climbing are also warmly welcomed in Slovenia.
The Lippizan is well known all around the globe. All of this is completed by such medieval towns as Maribor, Skofja Loka and Ljubljana, and such romantic castles as the Predjama.

Some days we are now at Camp Galeb in Omiš and now it should even go into the town center. The town itself is located in the south of Croatia at the mouth of the Cetina into the Adriatic Sea and belongs to the province of Dalmatia.
The now mainly from tourism living city has about 15,000 inhabitants and is at least in the high season a center for tourist of Croatia. Accordingly, there are two ports with numerous yachts and excursion boats that offer a wide variety of tours for guests.

North of Zagreb on the western border with Slovenia, the picture-perfect Veliki Tabor Castle rises on a hill, its Renaissance courtyard with columns and arcades possessing a touch of southern elegance. Kumrovec, birthplace of the former President of Yugoslavia, Josip Broz Tito, is located south of the castle and is now a museum village. Adriatic Sea
The Adriatic Sea /ˌeɪdriˈætᵻk/ is a body of water separating the Italian Peninsula from the Balkan peninsula and the Apennine Mountains from the Dinaric Alps and adjacent ranges. The Adriatic is the northernmost arm of the Mediterranean Sea, extending from the Strait of Otranto (where it connects to the Ionian Sea) to the northwest and the Po Valley. The countries with coasts on the Adriatic are Italy, Croatia, Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Slovenia. The Adriatic contains over 1,300 islands, mostly located along its eastern, Croatian, coast. It is divided into three basins, the northern being the shallowest and the southern being the deepest, with a maximum depth of 1,233 metres (4,045 ft). The Otranto Sill, an underwater ridge, is located at the border between the Adriatic and Ionian Seas. The prevailing currents flow counterclockwise from the Strait of Otranto, along the eastern coast and back to the strait along the western (Italian) coast. Tidal movements in the Adriatic are slight, although larger amplitudes are known to occur occasionally. The Adriatic's salinity is lower than the Mediterranean's because the Adriatic collects a third of the fresh water flowing into the Mediterranean, acting as a dilution basin. The surface water temperatures generally range from 30 °C (86 °F) in summer to 12 °C (54 °F) in winter, significantly moderating the Adriatic Basin's climate.

Some days we are now at Camp Galeb in Omiš and now it should even go into the town center. The town itself is located in the south of Croatia at the mouth of the Cetina into the Adriatic Sea and belongs to the province of Dalmatia. The now mainly from tourism living city has about 15,000 inhabitants and is at least in the high season a center for tourist of Croatia. Accordingly, there are two ports with numerous yachts and excursion boats that offer a wide variety of tours for guests. The average temperature inland in January ranges from -10° to 5°C and in August, from 19° to 39°C. The average temperature at the seaside is higher: in January, from 6°C to 11°C and in August from 21°C to 39°C.

Geographically diverse; flat agricultural plains along the Hungarian border (Central European area), low mountains and highlands near the Adriatic coastline and islands. There are 1,246 islands; the largest ones are Krk and Cres. The highest point is Dinara, at 1,830m.

Day6 -- 20130416 -- 307km - Shkoder (Albania) -- Orhid (Macedonia) 06:00 a minaret woke us up, good coffee and breakfast. Crossed Albania, passed Tirane where we bought a new bulb using sign language. Had lunch at a Albanian Castle, Lamb Intestine Kebab, we ordered Pizza as well. Found the planned Hotel but it was to early in the day and we had a mountain to cross in Maceldonia. Took some time to find the road to the border as it didn't exist in the Garmin's. 11km up in the mountain we had to turn around, road was totally over snowed, big hit to my ego. Went down again and to town Orhid, found one open Hotel, 80eur, really nice food and local beer/Wine. Visit: rushhourmc.com Happy Streaming / KingAlrik
