Although the problem of workplace bullying is not new, the incidence, prevalence, and severity have worsened in the United States. In Workplace Bullying: Clinical and Organizational Perspectives, Judith Geneva Balcerzak provides an understanding of workplace bullying from a theoretical, clinical, organizational, and public policy perspective. This book is unique in that it approaches the subject of workplace bullying from multiple disciplines. This timely resource will serve as a practice guide for social workers, clinicians, practitioners, consultants, and policy advocates addressing the concerns of workplace bullying. It offers strategies for bullying prevention and intervention, treatment, remediation, and advocacy for those who are or have been bullied in the workplace.

Social Work Practice in Child Welfare: The Interactional Model integrates and illustrates practice theory and practice skills. It demonstrates how evidence-based practices can be integrated into a practice framework, consistent with a social worker’s professional role, while avoiding overly prescriptive practices. The general practice model is presented, illustrated, and then applied to the different areas of social work in child welfare including protection, family support, foster care, adoption, and residential care.

The National Association of Social Workers (NASW) celebrates 55 years of the NASW Code of Ethics with a commemorative edition. The first NASW Code of Ethics was adopted by the NASW Delegate Assembly on October 13, 1960. Over the last 55 years, the Code of Ethics has evolved with social, professional, and other societal developments to remain relevant and to address the needs of social workers and the protection of clients, regardless of practice setting. Today, the NASW Code of Ethics continues to be the standard bearer in defining and advancing professional social work values and principles.

Fan of 7 posters illustrating NASW historyIn celebration of the 60th Anniversary, NASW created a series of historical posters highlighting some of the organization's monumental moments. Six of the seven posters were created in 2005 for the 50th anniversary. The newly-added seventh poster focuses on the advancements and achievements made over the past 10 years. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the NASW Foundation's LEGACY Project to assist in their effort to support, promote, and preserve NASW and social work history.
