I've served on Labour's frontbench for much of the last 20 years, under four leaders. They all had flaws. And when I spoke to Jeremy today he agreed that that he, and we all, must do better. However, all four were elected leaders of our Party. Jeremy Corbyn's re-election earns him the right to lead Labour again, and the right to expect backing from Labour MPs. We must now pull together. Our task is to take on the Tories and win over the public.
A weakened and divided UKIP to the right of her, a weakened and divided Labour party to the left of her, and a hole in the centre where the Lib Dems used to be. No wonder Theresa May thinks she rules the world. But I'm afraid she is in for a nasty (her favourite word) shock. Her message to the Conservative party conference on Wednesday was audacious if you took it at face value - and deluded nonsense as soon as you started to pick it apart.
Humans like quick fix, something that will rid us of undesirable elements without much effort. You can hardly blame anyone for buying into the idea of losing weight for the price of a £90 fitness tracker or quit smoking for a £30 e-cigarette. Sorry to break it you, but the problem isn't the technology but lack of motivation and willpower. If you want to see results or improve your lifestyle, no gadget alone is going to do that for you.
Whether we are left, or right, or centre, those of us interested in a peaceful future for ourselves, our families, and yes, even those we disagree with, should start to stand up against this kind of politics, before it is too late.
Unfortunately for Anastacia YouGov's weekly Strictly tracker sees her dropping to second-last place in the ranking of who viewers with an opinion would most like to win. She joins Ore Oduba and Lesley Joseph in the public opinion danger zone - just 1% of viewers want each star to win, and if they fail to score well with the judges to compensate they are at serious risk of being eliminated.
For the first time since I voted for Brexit, I feel genuinely uncomfortable about the emerging discourse. I thought those dealing with Brexit would act in the best interests of all who contribute to British society. How wrong I was.
Wolf-whistling is not designed to flatter women, it's about power and control. Fail to respond to a wolf-whistler and most women will recognise what happens next. From cries of Alright love or Give us a smile to Miserable bitch a woman who attempts to ignore unwanted attention is failing to play the game, be grateful and submit to a male's advances. See where this is heading?
While May's public engagement during the EU referendum campaign was minimal, her words and deeds since taking the keys to Number 10 have confirmed one obvious fact; our new Prime Minister is the not-so-secret hardcore Brexiteer.
The summer of 2015 still seems a blur: I was on the emotional roller coaster that is cancer treatment. That May, aged 51, I had been called for a routine mammogram which showed signs of abnormal cellular activity - twinkling fragments of glitter on the computer screen staring back at me in the Consulting Room. I was dumbstruck and in shock...
Every disgusting stretch-mark is actually a forever connection to the child I grew and a mark of respect for the ones who didn't make it. Every bit of disgusting over hang covering up my mum pants is actually a story of good times, eating and drinking with friends, sofa buffets of cheese and crisps with my husband and birthday cake for all the years and years celebrating my own life and those that I'm blessed to have around me.
Your faith will be shaken. Whether it is faith in a higher power, in nature, in science, in people, or simply in good, it will be shaken because there is no rhyme or reason as to why this is happening. Eventually you will find faith in the little things again.
Creating a system of genuine educational opportunity for all must be the aim, but this cannot be achieved without first addressing the societal and economic factors which are creating the disadvantage that is an everyday fact of life for too many of our children and young people.
Women's sport receives just 0.4% of reported UK sponsorship deals. The FA Women's Super League's most valuable sponsorship deal - with Continental - is worth £450,000. To put that in perspective: Adidas sponsor Chelsea to the sum of £280million. This matters... Equal pay for equal play should be at the heart of all our national sports. It is time we give women and girls the message that they can play too. And on a level playing field.
It's clear that Greece can't deal with tens of thousands of people alone. Every country has to step in and share responsibility, including the UK. The pressure is growing - our leaders need to welcome more people and help families to stay together. Barzani, Yazan, Jamila and others in a similar position deserve a decent life beyond a 'refugee' camp. I hope they get the chance to enjoy the life they should.
Corbyn has also said he is relaxed about Britain leaving the Single Market but has not signalled whether he would accept an end to freedom of movement. For some Labour MPs, especially on the left of the Party, any restriction whatsoever on immigration is prima facie unacceptable.
As Prime Minister of Great Britain May, is daring to dress - like Michelle Obama, like both Queen Elizabeths - in a way that adds to, rather than apologises for, her femininity. Hillary Clinton's advisors, take note. Because in these fraught times a female politician needs every weapon she can lay hands on.
Corbyn is not going anywhere anytime soon unless there is a defeat at a general election at the earliest. But even after Corbyn leaves his supporters will stay and they will remain active, so what needs to be done is not fight with them and add to the wall brick by brick but to try and reach out to them.
There was a distinct lack of photos from the everyday. I then realised that I had been doing it all wrong. I had been keeping and taking photos based on some misguided hierarchy. A hierarchy that meant I only took pictures of what I felt were important events
Children these days will literally laugh if you tell them that you used to pay for music; to them it's a free medium. Many don't seem to comprehend what it means for a creative industry to be in decline
The HMC's unfounded attack on Freshers' fun demonstrated that the booze-bashing brigade is slowly gaining momentum. Ultimately, it needs to shaken, stirred and shoved out of our lives. And, after all the online polls in the world are carried out, there's only way to do this: Two pints of lager and a packet of crisps, please.
I've missed various friend's birthdays and hen nights because I've had a huge event, which I just couldn't miss. Catching up with friends now means civilized meals during the week, because partying at the weekend outside of my own events is just not an option for me anymore.
White male culture is at the centre and almost everyone else are outsiders looking in. With less diverse bills come less diverse audiences. And without diversified bills and audiences I, for one, find there's not a lot left to joke about.
