Access All Areas is Demon Music Group’s superb new mid-price range featuring a wide array of the world’s biggest and most influential recording artists delivering full length, hit packed live sets from their prime 70s, 80s & 90s eras. The concerts were originally recorded for broadcast on ITV and released here for the first time, a catalogue housing the most superb live recordings in the artists’ history.
In 1972, Lindisfarne topped the UK chart with the classic ‘Fog On The Tyne’ album. This 1990 performance in Central TV’s Nottingham studios catches the Newcastle folk-rock band just before the departure of singer, mandolin and harmonica-player Ray ‘Jacka’ Jackson, who also played on Rod Stewart’s mega-hit ‘Maggie May’. The original line-up of Jackson, Alan Hull, Rod Clements, Ray Laidlaw and Simon Cowe from 1968 was augmented by multiinstrumentalist Marty Craggs and bass-player Steve Cunningham. They had just recorded their best album for some years in ‘Amigos’, represented here alongside earlier hits like ‘Lady Eleanor’, ‘Meet Me On The Corner’, ‘Clear White Light’ and the crowd-pleasing ‘Fog On The Tyne’, shortly to be re-recorded with footballer Paul ‘Gazza’ Gascoigne. Songwriter Hull’s death in 1995 was the beginning of the end for Lindisfarne, but this is the band in their element – live and loud.

After it ceased to be a centre for Christian monks in the 1530s, Lindisfarne, or Holy Island, off the far north-east English coast, became a military base.
There was a garrison there for 250 years, and the island is as full of military archaeology as it is religious.
Time Team came to investigate a field in the middle of the island's village, known locally, for no obvious reason, as 'the palace'.

Lindisfarne - Run From Home was released originally on the LP, Back and Forth in June 1978 in the UK by Mercury Records. It spent eleven weeks in the UK album charts, reaching a highest position of #22, with a total of three weeks in the top 25. It was also released in eight other countries around the world on three different record labels. The video opens with images of Lindisfarne English Civil Parish. Which the band is named after.

Lindisfarne is a tidal island off the north-east coast of England. It is also known as Holy Island and constitutes a civil parish in Northumberland. Both the Parker Chronicle and Peterborough Chronicle annals of AD793 record the Old English name, Lindisfarena, which means "[island of the] travellers from Lindsey", indicating that the island was settled from the Kingdom of Lindsey, or possibly that its inhabitants travelled there. In 2001 the island had a population of 162.
The island of Lindisfarne appears under the Old Welsh name Medcaut in the ninth-century Historia Brittonum. Following up on a suggestion by Richard Coates, Andrew Breeze proposes that the name ultimately derives from Latin Medicata (Insula) "Healing (Island)", owing perhaps to the island's reputation for medicinal herbs. The Historia Brittonum recounts how in the sixth century, Urien, prince of Rheged, besieged the Angles led by Theodoric at the island for three days and three nights.

After it ceased to be a centre for Christian monks in the 1530s, Lindisfarne, or Holy Island, off the far north-east English coast, became a military base. There was a garrison there for 250 years, and the island is as full of military archaeology as it is religious. Time Team came to investigate a field in the middle of the island's village, known locally, for no obvious reason, as 'the palace'. -

The concerts were originally recorded for broadcast on ITV and released here for the first time, a catalogue housing the most superb live recordings in the artists’ history.
In 1972, Lindisfarne topped the UK chart with the classic ‘Fog On The Tyne’ album. This 1990 performance in Central TV’s Nottingham studios catches the Newcastle folk-rock band just before the departure of singer, mandolin and harmonica-player Ray ‘Jacka’ Jackson, who also played on Rod Stewart’s mega-hit ‘Maggie May’. The original line-up of Jackson, Alan Hull, Rod Clements, Ray Laidlaw and Simon Cowe from 1968 was augmented by multiinstrumentalist Marty Craggs and bass-player Steve Cunningham. They had just recorded their best album for some years in ‘Amigos’, represented here alongside earlier hits like ‘Lady Eleanor’, ‘Meet Me On The Corner’, ‘Clear White Light’ and the crowd-pleasing ‘Fog On The Tyne’, shortly to be re-recorded with footballer Paul ‘Gazza’ Gascoigne. Songwriter Hull’s death in 1995 was the beginning of the end for Lindisfarne, but this is the band in their element – live and loud.

Lindisfarne Castle, Priory and the Holy Island
Finally getting round to uploading the video's of my holiday photography from Northumberland in September 2008. This is Lindisfarne, as the video explains, its a tidal island, meaning you can only access it by a causeway at low tide. It is a stunning place, with layer upon layer of history, far too much to talk about in the video. The Northumberland coast is literally strewn with Castles, and from one you can usually see another, I have other video's on here of Bamburgh Castle, and there are some of Dunstanburgh (on the Craster video). No amount of photography can really capture what a beautiful place this is. We parked in a designated car park just outside the actual village (only disabled parking is permitted near the castle) and caught a small shuttle bus to the village. ... -

The Holy Island of Lindisfarne is a Tidal Island off the northeast of England. It is also known as Holy Island. Holy Island has a recorded history from the 6th century. It was an important centre of Celtic Christianity under Saints Aidan, Cuthbert and Eadberht. After Viking invasions and the Norman conquest of England a priory was re-established. The Island measures 2 and a quarter miles from east to west and 1 and a half miles from north to south. It is accessible, most times, at low tide by crossing sand and mud flats which are covered with water at high tides. The sand and mud flats carry an ancient pilgrims path and in more recent times a modern causeway. -

Finally getting round to uploading the video's of my holiday photography from Northumberland in September 2008.
This is Lindisfarne, as the video explains, its a tidal island, meaning you can only access it by a causeway at low tide. It is a stunning place, with layer upon layer of history, far too much to talk about in the video.

We parked in a designated car park just outside the actual village (only disabled parking is permitted near the castle) and caught a small shuttle bus to the village.
This is known to be the place where Christianity first arrived here, and has a history of wars and battles from the Vikings, as well as the English and the Scots fighting due to Northumberland being so close to the Scottish border, and I believe at one time owned by Scotland.
Photography is rarely allowed inside English Castles, which is a shame, because I would have liked to have shared the inside with you also.

Finally getting round to uploading the video's of my holiday photography from Northumberland in September 2008.
This is Lindisfarne, as the video explains, its a tidal island, meaning you can only access it by a causeway at low tide. It is a stunning place, with layer upon layer of history, far too much to talk about in the video.
The Northumberland coast is literally strewn with Castles, and from one you can usually see another, I have other video's on here of Bamburgh Castle, and there are some of Dunstanburgh (on the Craster video).
